SD's MITB will STEAL the show

Smackdown's MITB participants have been revealed and I had about 6 of the guys right. SD's MITB consist of Daniel Bryan, Sin Cara, Kane, Wade Barrett, Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Heath Slater, and Justin Gabriel! Just like last year, SD has put 5 guys in the match that I think will own with a ladder. So, who gets the victory? Storyline wise, Sheamus should win. He's feuding with both Christian and Orton so if he wins, many would expect a cash in that night, but is that smart thing to do? Another first night cash in is too obvious for WWE right? Right? Who knows? I want Cody Rhodes to win because out of the 8, he's the most deserving, but if Barrett wins, I wouldn't be mad either. Just don't let Kane, Slater, or Sin Cara win. All the others are good. So, Smackdown's definitely going to have a heel win and they wouldn't dare have two heels win both MITB's so Bourne's chances of winning just went up!

CM Punk, CM Punk, CM Punk!

CM Punk has become my favorite wrestler of all time after last night's crazy amazing promo. Unfortunately, Raw won't be live next week, so the suspense to see what happens next is gone. At MITB, Punk will still face Cena and if Cena loses, he'll be fired. With a stipulation like that, Punk will surely lose. Unless WWE has some more balls and lets Punk leave with the WWE Title and Cena be fired AGAIN. I think Vince will be mad even if Cena wins, and will let Del Rio get his shot right there after the match, setting up for Cena/Del Rio at Summerslam. Now that Del Rio is #1 contender, does he still need to win MITB. In the MITB, we got A-Ry, Mysterio, Kingston, Bourne, Swagger, Del Rio, Miz, and Truth. I'm liking the potential of this match, but where the HELL IS DOLPH ZIGGLER?!?!? The US champion isn't in the MITB ladder match when the US Champ last year won it? I'm disappointed. Well, Del Rio will have his shot at the WWE Title either way. Either Del Rio will get his shot after Cena beats Punk, win MITB and beat him at the end of MITB, or lose MITB and still get his shot at SummerSlam. However it goes, Del Rio's getting a WWE Title shot by the end of the summer. So, if Del Rio doesn't win MITB, who will? Miz? Already won it last year, they wouldn't have Miz take Punk's record away would they? I'm going with Evan Bourne or R-Truth. I'm a huge fan of Evan and he doesn't get the time he deserves. Is it likely he'll win? Hell no. He doesn't stand a chance. Mysterio is probably the face favorite to win. Truth is one of the top heels in WWE, so holding the MITB briefcase in spite of the little jimmies would be great and it could be having a black WWE champion for the first time in 9 years.

Well, on the Raw side, MITB is looking fantastic. The MITB match looks great, there's a lot of opportunity for big spots in the match, and it features most of the power players on Raw. (WHERE IS DOLPH?) The WWE Title match is easily my most anticipated since Miz/Orton 1. Smackdown has some work to do...

Christian gets ANOTHER shot?

How many shots until Christian gets into another feud? It's becoming really annoying that no one else is getting a shot on Smackdown when there is some real potential in good feuds over there. Why haven't Rhodes, Barrett, and Sheamus been given PPV title matches? This is going to be Christian's 3rd straight! Why not just have it on Smackdown next week and then give someone else a shot? Even though Sheamus and Barrett both have faced Orton on PPV for the WWE Title, it wouldn't hurt WWE to do them again after giving Christian so much exposure. Eventually, I'd like to see Tyson Kidd given a shot to shine. A Tyson/Orton match could be epic. Jinder Mahal is being treated as a big deal on Smackdown so I can see him getting a shot after Summerslam if Orton is still champion. Oh well, I wonder what WWE are planning with the Money in the Bank winners this year. Favorites for Raw are Del Rio, Morrison, and hell, little Evan Bourne. Smackdown favorites, I guess Rhodes and Sin Cara. I really think it's Rhodes year. There is no one else really deserving on the Smackdown brand besides Rhodes. And if Rhodes win, I don't see a heel winning on Raw, so Bourne and Morrison are the only two deserving faces on Raw to win. Morrison has proven he has what it takes to get a title shot on his own so I don't think he needs MITB to get his first title. Bourne, on the other hand, probably won't get a WWE Title shot any other way so I would love to see Bourne win the MITB. I want to see a surprise victory in either MITB and I think Bourne is that surprise. Another guy I'd like to see win is Dolph Ziggler. I'm a huge fan of his so a MITB victory would do me good, even though, he's another guy who can get a shot on his own. Anyway, is there another first night cash in this year? Also, does somebody FINALLY lose with the MITB contract? I hope someone EVENTUALLY loses with it, but I hope if Bourne does by some miracle win, it's not him. Or Rhodes, so wait until next year. I think the Raw guy will be the one to use it first, whoever it is. Let Smackdown have all the suspense this year. Well, first, I have to see the participants, but unlike last year, there aren't too many guys who should win it. Smackdown had a lot of potential with winners last year. Matt Hardy, Ziggler, McIntyre, Christian, Kingston, and Rhodes were all featured in Smackdown's MITB but NONE of those guys won. Ziggler and Christian went on to have short World Title victories but hey, they won the title. This year, there are only a couple of guys from each show who should win. Bourne, Morrison, Truth, and Del Rio for Raw and Rhodes, Sin Cara, or Barrett for Smackdown. So, right now, it's too soon to call it, but hopefully they'll announce the participants next week so I can start making speculations with people who are ACTUALLY in the match.

What if Punk beat Cena at MITB and then the Raw MITB winner, (Morrison/Bourne/Del Rio) cashes in and wins the title? If Del Rio did it, it would make him much more a heel and sets up the forthcoming Cena/Del Rio match at SummerSlam. Yup, that's Raw's scenario I'm predicting! Now, Smackdown, give me some time.

Well, I got the first match right....

On July 17th, CM Punk will face John Cena for the WWE Championship in Punk's hometown of Chicago! As Punk said last night, this will be his final match in WWE. He's really leaving. My favorite wrestler in WWE is going away. I know how CM Punk feels though. He's got so much talent, but WWE just won't use it so you gotta look elsewhere and he's probably burned out and probably just wants to take a break. WWE is going to suffer from his departure. Punk, I hear your message loud and clear and I hope they let you win the title on your last night there. I'm calling it now, Punk kicks out of the Attitude Adjustment and Cena kicks out of the GTS. That match is going to be the main event and it's going to be a show stealer. I can't wait to see what Smackdown has to compete with that.

Another predictable WWE PPV

Another gimmick event, another predictable outcome. I thought the event was okay, better than the crappy Over the Limit. Kofi/Ziggler, Orton/Christian, and Punk/Mysterio were all good matches, but they were ALL done before. Christian should be World Champion but once again, Mike Chioda SCREWS another superstar. Congrats to A-Ry on beating Miz, Big Zeke winning some gold, and Truth for putting on a good performance. The ending was the usual PG WWE so I'm not surprised. Cena gets dominated, then hits an AA, the kids go home happy blah blah. OK event, not the worst start to the WWE summer events.

What's next for both shows. Well, we're getting two MITB matches. For Raw, they can use:
John Morrison
Evan Bourne
Jack Swagger
R-Truth
Dolph Ziggler
Drew McIntyre
Kofi Kingston
Rey Mysterio
Miz
A-Ry
Alberto Del Rio
I think Miz/Riley have another match at MITB and Truth MIGHT get a shot at Cena, so take them out and you got Raw's MITB match. Smackdown has:
Cody Rhodes
Ted DiBiase
Sin Cara
Daniel Bryan
Wade Barrett
Christian
Sheamus
Mark Henry
Ezekiel Jackson
Jinder Mahal
Kane
Tyson Kidd
A lot of people to choose from on Smackdown. Rhodes, DiBiase, Cara, and Bryan are locks. Kidd, Mahal, Kane, and Christian should round up the final 4. Christian's chances of getting ANOTHER World Title match on a PPV are pretty slim so I'll put him in his type of match.
I think the top two contenders for the WWE Title are Truth and Punk. Barrett or Sheamus is going to be next in line for a World Title match so you got these matches for MITB.
Cena/Punk or Truth
Orton/Barrett or Sheamus
SD MITB
Raw MITB
Miz/A-Ry
Divas Title match
There's the MITB card. As for SummerSlam, my dream card is:
Cena/Del Rio
Orton/Rhodes
Miz/Mysterio
Truth/Morrison
Ziggler/A-Ry or Bourne or Triple Threat
Punk/Austin
Of course, that will just be a dream...

Capitol Punishment on Sunday

Wow, this is my first post in June. Crazy. Anyway, Capitol Punishment is Sunday and it has some potential. Let's break it down!

Mysterio/Punk should open the show. You've seen the match a billion times already. Easily could be a show stealer but the fact that I've seen it so many times before makes me feel like I'm wasting money. CM Punk hasn't won a PPV match this year so I wanna see him get that first victory. I gotta go with Punk but IMO, they should combine this with the WWE Title Match. It'd give viewers a much better reason for buying.

Barrett/Jackson one-on-one for the first time literally. No Corre to help Young Master Barrett now. I think it's about time to give Zeke the title so I gotta go with Ezekiel Jackson on this one. It won't be a technically sound match like the Punk/Mysterio match, but it could be solid. Hopefully, after this, Barrett will finally take the steps necessary to get a World Title match.

Del Rio/Show, I could care less. I know this is just a placeholder feud until the Cena/Del Rio showdown at SummerSlam, but they couldn't have given him a better opponent? Big Show is extremely furious so I think Del Rio is going to win by DQ.

Ziggler/Kingston have had MANY MANY good matches for the IC Title and they're going to have another good one for the US Title. I want to see Dolph get another title, but I can see them keeping the gold on Kofi. I'll go with Ziggler regardless.

Miz/Riley, a match I care about! This is Riley's big chance to show he belongs in main event scene on Raw. If he has a bad performance in this match, than you can kiss his career goodbye. It should be a pretty good back and forth match with Miz dominating most of it. I can see A-Ril getting the victory to push his career, but Miz is coming off two huge loses so I gotta go with Miz on this one. I already see too many heels winning on this card.

Christian/Orton is up in the air right now. Orton's had a concussion, but he's cleared to wrestle on Sunday. Due to that, I'm not expecting a classic like their OTL match. It should be a good match but not up to par with the OTL one. Orton wins again, sweeps another wrestler blah blah. Hopefully, Barrett or Rhodes is up next.

Speaking of Rhodes, HE DOESN'T HAVE A MATCH FOR CAPITOL PUNISHMENT! Are you kidding me? He has a great feud with Mysterio, BEATS HIM AT WRESTLEMANIA, and now doesn't have a match for another WWE PPV? Did he piss in someone's Cheerios? Hopefully, they add Rhodes/DiBiase VS Cara/Bryan to the card.

Truth/Cena SHOULD get the main event spot. I'm really looking forward to this, and not just because this is the first time a black man is getting a WWE Title shot in 4 years. I like R-Truth's character and his heel turn has been close to perfect. Only way to make it perfect is with a WWE Title win. Will it happen? No. It ruins Cena/Del Rio at SummerSlam. I think Morrison is going to interfere in some fashion to get R-Truth head outta the game. Do I want to see Truth as champion? Another other than Cena. Is it going to happen? No. Cena makes Truth tap out, sending the crowd home happy. I'll be the happiest man in the world if Truth pulls off the upset but it just isn't going to happen.

Capitol Punishment isn't going to be a five star event, but it does start off the summer PPVs, which stars with this, then Money in the Bank (CAN'T WAIT) and then Summerslam! Cena/Del Rio, Truth/Morrison, Miz/Mysterio? Rhodes/Orton? Could be another big event dominated by the young talent! Time will tell though
