Best of WWE 2010

Best things WWE did this year
3. Storyline matches - There were a lot of good storyline matches this. Cena/Batista told a really good story on why Cena was pushed as the top star when Batista had just as much chance as him. Kane/Taker, while very old, told a good story of two brothers, jealously, a demented father, and the World Title. Miz/Bryan was also very good. The top storyline feud of the year is definitely Cena/Nexus. A bunch of newcomers want their spotlight so they take out the top guy in the company. Not a good idea when it's John Cena you're facing. Really good matches between the two and a shocking conclusion made this a top feud.
2. Making Cena look human - At the beginning of the year, Cena lost the Rumble to a returning Edge, then became champ at EC only to lose to Batista seconds later. It was until Nexus came that WWE made Cena seemed a little human. Sure, he got DDT'ed on concrete and beat two men within a matter of seconds, but him losing to Barrett and put into place for a month was pretty new. Also, him getting kayfabe fired was also nice, seeing how Edge or Orton couldn't do that.
1. Push of the young talent - The Year of the Newcomer. I've said it dozens of times. Look at the champions entering 2010. Sheamus held the WWE Title, Miz held the US Title, and McIntrye held the IC Title. Swagger eventually won MITB and then won the title two days later. Ziggler FINALLY captured the IC Title. WADE BARRETT main evented TWO of the Big Four PPVs and he FIRED Superman John Cena. Del Rio took out Christian and Mysterio in two months. The Miz cashed in his contract and became WWE Champion. Most of these guys are nobodies, yet they are some of the top heels in the WWE. I expect Barrett and Del Rio to both be World Champions come Survivor Series 2011.

Best Matches 0f 2010
5. Bryan/Ziggler Bragging Rights - This opening contest ended up stealing the show at this event. It was a fast paced contest between two of the best young superstars WWE has to offer. Both of these guys have great futures in this business.
4. Smackdown MITB Ladder Match MITB - This was the best ladder match to me this year. A lot of young guys competing to be the next world champion. Unfortunately, the winner wasn't who I expected or wanted, so it loses a lot of points that way. Overall, it was a great match and the Kofi ladder spot was awesome!
3. Jericho/Edge WM 26 - This is how a World Title match is done. I knew this was going to be a great contest between these Canadians. This was more of a wrestling match, but it was great wrestling. The ending was also a little bit of a shocker with Jericho retaining, but it was a great contest in the end.
2. Team WWE VS Nexus SummerSlam - What a match this was. It was crazy to see 7 rookies main event one of the WWE's biggest events. What a performance by those rookies. The ending messed the whole match up though. How does someone get a DDT on concrete and still win the match? Ruined it for me. Cena couldn't put them over just once. Great elimination match.
1. Undertaker/HBK WM 26 - Two years in a row. What can I say about this match? It was great. The ending, sucked, like most of the great matches this year. The Super Atomic Tombstone was amazing though. Taker/HBK get it again.

Biggest Disappointments
5. Mysterio winning World Title/Kane cashes in, ruins a good Summerslam main event - Although he held the title for 28 days, the fact they gave it to him is a mystery. If Kane was going to cash in any way, why didn't they have Swagger win the Fatal 4 Way? Really stupid. Even though it was a bad decision, I looked on the bright side. Mysterio will beat Swagger at MITB then face someone like Kofi, Rhodes, or McIntrye at Summerslam and try and push one of these young bucks. THEN, Kane ruined that with the MITB contract and any chance of a really good World Title match was gone. Good job WWE.
4. Injuries - There were a lot of guys put on the side this year. Triple H, Undertaker, CM Punk, Bourne, and Christian to name and few. Undertaker being injured caused Mysterio to become World Champion. Triple H being injured made Sheamus lose the title two weeks before he was suppose to. CM Punk and Bourne being injured means there's really no one for Bryan to have an EXCELLENT feud with. Christian being injured means we might not see him in time for Mania, dashing everyone hopes of a Edge/Christian WM 27 main event. Or I forgot, Taker being injured means that we might not see him involved with Mania this year. Injuries always suck.
3. Smackdown not pushing young talent - Raw has done their part, why hasn't Smackdown? All of the new World Champions this year came from Raw, so what's up Smackdown? Congrats, you're pushing Del Rio, but that's it! Where is Rhodes and McIntrye's much needed pushes? Where's Kofi's? Why do you continue to push the same guys in the same title matches? The Kane/Taker feud was the reason why many didn't get pushed. I thought Smackdown was the land of opportunity, but they obviously lost it this year.
2. HBK retires - Once HBK put his career on the line against Taker, everyone knew HBK was done with. It sucks to see one of the top guys in the company leave, especially since he didn't feud with Morrison, Punk, or Sheamus in his career. RIP HBK's career.
1. Survivor Series 2010 - This was the worst event of the Big 4. It had so much potential too. First, they knock out Del Rio, aka the team captain in the Survivor Series match. Why would you do that when you're suppose to be making Del Rio look good? It doesn't help him one bit that he got knocked out in his 1st SS appearance and it really doesn't help that his team got dominated. Then, they have Edge and Kane wrestle to a draw. A draw? Really? What a cheap way to keep Kane's title streak alive. THEN, the main event was a let down. There was nothing shocking that happened. Cena didn't turn heel, Barrett didn't win the title. Cena called the match down the middle. And then Cena paraded around the arena and that was it. They had the ball in their court and they dropped it. This and Bragging Rights 2010 were just horrible events storyline wise.

Best Moments
5. Evan Bourne's semi push - Evan Bourne is one of the better superstars on in WWE period. So, when he actually beat Jericho at Fatal 4 Way, I was excited to see him start to get a push. Then, MITB rolls around and I thought he had a good chance of winning that, but he didn't and then kind of fell off of the face of the earth and got injured. Bourne is a great high flier and fun to watch in the ring so seeing him actually beat a main eventer was awesome.
4. Edge returns, wins Rumble - Many people didn't like the Cena return at the 2008 Rumble. I am one of those people. I did though love when they did it for Edge. Call me a hypocrite but I loved Edge making his shocking return to win the match. Unfortunately, he didn't win the World Title until TLC in December, but it was great seeing Cena lose in the Rumble. One of my favorite Edge returns.
3. Cena joining Nexus/Being Fired - When they announced the Barrett/Cena match at HIAC with the stipulation, I just knew Nexus were going to pack up and go to Smackdown or something. Boy was I wrong! To actually see Barrett pin Cena was great. Though it wasn't clean, it was great. Then, to see Barrett actually fire Cena was even better. Though he didn't win the championship, he demoralized the WWE for a couple of weeks by firing the top face in the company. Congrats Mr. Barrett.
2. Formation of Nexus - I remember watching that Raw live when the Nexus debuted. I didn't know what to think of it at the time. It was definitely ballsy and different but I really didn't know any of the guys that were in NXT. Over the next couple weeks though, I loved what WWE had done with those young 7 stars and to actually give them the main event at SummerSlam, that was amazing. The Nexus have solidified themselves in 2010.. When you think back to WWE in 2010, The Nexus will definitely come to mind.
1. Miz wins WWE Title - This was my mark out moment of the year. Sure, Edge won the Rumble and I went crazy and sure, Cena joined Nexus and I went crazy, but when Miz got that three count on Orton, I went ballistic. To see someone work so hard, someone who I've come to respect as a wrestler win the WWE Title, was an amazing site. When I see things like that happen in WWE, it gives me hope for everyone else. Miz came from a host on Smackdown, to a great tag team champion, to a goofy singles competitor to WWE Champion. Such a great moment in WWE history and my top of the year.

Breakout Star of the Year
3. Sheamus - Sheamus entered 2010 as WWE Champion. What else can I say? He won it at the last event of the year and actually main evented two PPVs at champion. He had a good WM match with his buddy Triple H and actually took him out of action. THEN, he won his 2nd WWE Title in June. Two WWE Title reigns in his first year in the company is definitely breakout worthy.
2. The Miz - Winning the US Title, the Unified Tag Titles, the MITB, winning your first WM match, and winning the WWE Title is really breakout worthy. Not to mention he's the best heel on Raw and he might be entering WM 27 as WWE Champion. The Miz also held the US Title for half of the year, but was not featured in matches on Summerslam and Survivor Series, which keeps him from the top spot.
1. Wade Barrett - This man was the single reason why Raw was interesting from June to November. This man came from nowhere and main evented 5 PPVs this year, something Miz can't say. He also beat Superman John Cena and made him join The Nexus. Unfortunately, Barrett never won the WWE Title this year, but that was because of John Cena, but when you main event 5 PPVS in your rookie year, you're definitely the breakout star of the year.

Superstar of the Year
10. Alberto Del Rio - This newcomer was only around for 5 months in 2010, but they were some pretty great months. Del Rio beat the former World Champion Rey Mysterio in his first match on Smackdown. He made the man TAP OUT! That's saying a lot. Then, he takes out Christian, he captains his own Survivor Series team, and he was inches away from winning the World Title. Not a bad 5 months for the rookie. He'll definitely be World Champ in 2011.
9. Undertaker - Taker wasn't around for much of the year, but he did have another fantastic match with HBK and the first two matches with Kane were pretty good. Injuries sidelined the Dead Man for most of the year so he's not too high on the list.
8. Dolph Ziggler - Ziggler had been chasing the IC Title since SummerSlam 2009 and he finally won it in July 2010. Not only will he enter 2011 as IC Champion, but he's put on some of the better matches this year with Kofi, John Cena, and MOTY candidate with Daniel Bryan. I expect some type of World Title push in 2010.
7. Edge - The Rated R Superstar started the year well, by winning the Rumble and having a great match with Jericho at Mania, but he kind of fell off after that. It wasn't until December where he won his 10th World Title. Not the best year for the Master Manipulator.
6. Randy Orton - Orton turned into a fan favorite for the 1st time since 2005 and it has worked great. He pushed the young guys at Mania and Extreme Rules, he put on some good matches with Sheamus, and he felled back the title hopes of one Wade Barrett. The Viper has had a pretty good year.
5. John Cena - Cena has another good year. He won the WWE Title twice this year and beat Batista a stunning THREE TIMES. Yeah that's right, 3. He was also involved in the Feud of the Year with Mr. Barrett and Nexus. While he was fired for three weeks, he came back with a huge victory over Barrett at TLC. Cena is a top name to win the Rumble in 2011.
4. Sheamus - Sheamus came into 2010 as WWE Champion and still wasn't a known name. He had an impressive performance at Mania against HHH and eventually won the WWE Title again 3 months later. Though he lost it in a 6 Pack Challenge he had a great match against Orton at HIAC and then went on to have 3 great matches with Morrison. Oh, he also won the King of the Ring tournament and became KING Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior never missed a beat this year and becoming one of the top young guys in the WWE.
3. Wade Barrett - Mr. Barrett had a great 2010. He main evented 5 of the 6 PPV events he was involved in with two of them being part of the Big 4 WWE PPVs. He feuded with Cena in the best feud of the year and actually made Cena look human by making him join Nexus. While Mr. Barrett was unsuccessful in winning the title in the 4 opportunities he had, it doesn't lessen the impact he had this year. Barrett is more of a household name than Sheamus is and I think that's great considering that Barrett doesn't have the 2 WWE Title reigns that Sheamus has. Barrett has to become WWE Champion in 2011. There's no way in hell he won't be.
2. Kane - Where the hell did this come from? Kane was the last person I thought would be on this list, but Kane has had the best year in his whole career. He wins MITB then wins the title in the same night. Then, he beats Taker in 3 STRAIGHT MATCHES. I don't think anyone has done that. That is scary awesome. He had the longest World Title reign in 5 years and he was the monster he used to be. The Big Red Monster had a fantastic 2010 and I'm really surprised.
1. The Miz - Are you surprised? Don't be. The Miz had the best year in 2010. Why? Let's see, he was a triple champion, he had the US Title for 6 months, he won his first Mania match, he won MITB, he pushed Daniel Bryan and he's becoming one of the better wrestlers on Raw, and he eventually won the WWE Championship. Don't forget he's one of the most hated wrestlers in the business and he's great on the mic. His title win was featured everywhere and he's becoming the next face of the WWE. Look out Cena, The Miz has come to play. He's here to stay, best get out of his way, he's come to play. HAHAHA! But seriously, The Miz had come from being a nothing, a nobody, to being one of the better superstars on the brand. When he finally won the WWE Title, it was a feeling of accomplishment, a feeling that he deserved it. Something that I didn't feel when Sheamus won it. Congrats Miz. Let's make 2011 another good year.

So there it is. Here's the year 2010 in WWE, the short version.
Out of the three MITB matches, only The Miz deserved to win.
Undertaker ruined this year period.
The youth movement is officially on in WWE.
Miz winning the title made this year for me.
WWE showed little improvement this year.

What does WWE need to do 2011? Let's see.
Barrett and Del Rio need to win World Titles.
We need a black world champion. Ezekiel Jackson PLEASE.
Edge and Christian need to feud for the World Title.
Kofi, Evan Bourne, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, and Drew McIntrye need title shots, preferably in the summer.
CENA NEEDS TO TURN HEEL!!!!!

That's WWE in 2010. Let's look forward into 2011. God Bless and have a Happy New Year!

The Straight Edge Nexus!

CM Punk has joined the Nexus! As the leader? Most likely. What will happen to Mr. Wade Barrett? Who knows right now. He still better be in the group because he's really bad ass to me. If Barrett is still in the group and Sheffield does come back to be in the group, it will the Nexus 8 all over again. This only confirmed even more that Punk/Cena will indeed have a match at the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania.

Stay tuned for my posts on December 30th and 31st for my view on 2010 in WWE and video games respectively. Who was the best superstar this year? What was the best feud? What was the best match? What was my favorite game of 2010? Spoilers, it's not Red Dead or Super Mario Galaxy 2! What was the best down-loadable game this year? What was the best overall system this year? Check out my two posts on the last two days of the year.

Early Wrestlemania 27 predictions

I was hearing rumors that CM Punk's future as a wrestler was undecided but it looks like that was just a rumor. CM Punk has attacked Cena twice now which probably means we'll be seeing a match between the two pretty soon. There is currently talk of the two facing off at Wrestlemania 27, but if it isn't for the WWE Title, that seems unlikely to me. Cena has been in a championship match at EVERY WRESTLEMANIA he's been at. That's 7 straight Manias in a title match with 6 being World Title matches and he's won 5 of the World Title matches.

I guess they could make the match for the WWE Title. The top 3 three feuds on Raw could be Punk/Cena/ Morrison/Miz, and Triple/Sheamus. The 6 of them clash in the Elimination Chamber where Miz drops the title to Cena or Punk, I prefer to see the face chase the heel for the championship, then Punk and Cena main event WrestleMania.

I still can't think of Smackdown's main event for WrestleMania. I would really like to see Edge/Christian with Edge being the heel, saying he carried Christian for all those years in the group and finally have Christian win the World Title. Then they need to have a Ladder Match at Extreme Rules. That doesn't seem too likely though as Christian isn't back on TV yet and it seems from Smackdown last night that the Kane/Edge program isn't done yet. As long as the SD main event doesn't involve Big Show or Mysterio, I'm good. Hell, maybe we'll see Del Rio involved in some fashion.

Who will face Taker at this year's Mania? If you go by storylines, Wade Barrett is the leading candidate to challenge the Dead Man at the historic PPV. He won't win of course, but it will push his career even further if it looks like he'll win. Sheamus is another one that could potentially face him. I think that would be the better match in the long run, but if he doesn't face him, Sheamus is still guaranteed a main event level match at Mania. So I'm going with Barrett/Taker at WM 27.

Daniel Bryan's US Title isn't ending anytime soon. Now with the Bella Twins, he's becoming a household name. Now that the CM Punk/Bryan feud probably isn't going to happen until Summer 2011, Daniel Bryan needs an opponent. PLEASE let that opponent be little Evan Bourne. A match between those two has show stealer written all over it. Plus, it's a good way to end the Bryan reign. Or make it a Triple Threat with DiBiase in it. So here's my WM 27 card so far"

CM Punk/Cena for the WWE Title
Edge/Christian for the World Title
Wade Barrett/Undertaker
Daniel Bryan/Evan Bourne for the US Title

Alright, I got 4 quality Wrestlemania encounters. Just need about 4 more. Will there be a MITB match on the card? If so, they could throw in about 8 mid carders in that match. What are Orton, Triple H, Sheamus, and Miz going to be doing at the card? I would like to see a Miz/Triple H feud eventually, but with Sheamus being King of the Ring and all and Triple being the King of Kings, it seems likely they'll be facing again. I really don't know. It's WAY too early to even think about Mania, but I just hope that the 4 matches I've came up with make it to the card.

Well, my next post is going to be the Best of WWE: 2010 Edition. With the WWE year pretty much over, I'll be listing things such as Superstar of the Year, Best Match, Worst Match, etc, etc. Kind of like the Slammys, but much more biased. See you then. Happy Holidays everyone

The TLC WASN'T the main event?

I was joking with my friend earlier in the day that Cena and Barrett would main event TLC. I can't believe that I was right. Why the hell did they get the main event? There was NO REASON in the WORLD to give Cena/Barrett the main event when there was a FATAL 4 WAY TLC match on the card for the WORLD TITLE. Let me side trace and say that the TLC match was great and so close Del Rio. Congrats to Edge for the 10th title reign. It only took a year and a half to get the title. Fantastic contest. The IC Title match was a let down, I blame Swagger, the Divas Tag match was okay, better than most the women's matches this year, who cares about the tag titles match, Morrison FINALLY gets a title shot in the 2nd best match of the night, The Miz and Orton had a respectable title match, it was great how Miz put Orton through the table. The TLC was great. Del Rio falling through the table was INSANE. That looked like it hurt BAD. At least Kane or Mysterio didn't win. Del Rio VS Edge at the Rumble. The Cena/Barrett match was alright, better than their match at HIAC. Shouldn't have been main event, but whatever. So what now? The Cena/Nexus feud, which was the best feud of the year, didn't even matter. Barrett fired Cena, Cena comes back three weeks later, than Cena takes out Nexus. What was accomplished in the feud? I could see if Barrett won the title from Orton then lost it to Cena at TLC, it would have made the feud a little more interesting. Oh well. RIP Cena/Nexus feud. Best feud of 2010. Well, overall, a very confusing PPV. Why didn't the first ladder match given time, why did they add a tag team match when they merged the Chair and TLC matches to make up for time constraints, why was the TLC not the main event, and why didn't Del Rio win the World Title? I need answers now. Well, Rumble in 6 weeks. Sheamus, Christian, or CM Punk for me.

WWE TLC just got a little more interesting...

For whatever reason, WWE has changed the already good main event into what could be an AMAZING main event. At the Smackdown taping, it was announced that Kane will now defend his World Title in a Fatal Four Way TLC MATCH against Edge, Rey Mysterio, and ALBERTO DEL RIO!!!! This is probably to shield Mysterio a bit since he's injured, but this is a GOLDEN opportunity for Alberto Del Rio. On December 14th 2008, Jeff Hardy won his FIRST ever WWE Championship. On December 13th, 2009, The Celtic King Sheamus won his FIRST ever WWE Championship. Will December 19th 2010 be the crowning moment in another young superstar's career? I sure hope so. Nothing bad can come out of this. Kane finally loses his title and Edge would then be GUARANTEED to become World Champ at the Rumble. It all makes sense. Let him win the title WWE. It worked for Sheamus, it will work for Del Rio. WOW, I'm SO pumped now. A Triple Threat Ladder match, a ladder match that could pit Morrison/Miz in a title match, Miz's first PPV title defense, and now a Fatal Four Way TLC. This week just got harder to get through.

TLC 2010 this Sunday

Oh great, an event full of rematches! The 2nd annual TLC event is this Sunday and there are currently 7 matches announced, with 4 being rematches from the past PPV events. The main event will be for the World Title with the 5 month reigning champion Kane will take on the challenger, Edge. Well, being Edge's match and the fact that he's had the title for half the year AND the fact that Edge hasn't held a World Title since Extreme Rules 2009, Edge is definitely going win. This will probably be the match of the night, with both Kane and Edge being ladder match veterans. Should be a lot of good spots in the match.

Cena is rehired and will be facing Wade Barrett in a Chairs match. Don't really see the point of this match. Cena probably wins, showing he hasn't missed a beat.

Del Rio VS Mysterio in a Chairs Match. Another match that doesn't have a point. They really should've had a Ladder Match for the #1 Contender spot for the World Title. Del Rio needs this victory.

The first ever Diva Tables match will be contested at TLC with Lay-Cool taking on Beth and Natalya. This should be very interesting. The face divas will win for sure.

A Triple Threat Ladder match will feature Swagger, Kofi, and Ziggler facing off for the IC Title. I'm REALLY looking forward to this match. Screw Swagger, ZIGGLER AND KOFI in a Ladder Match? Hell yeah man! I'm hoping for a Ziggler victory but it maybe smart for Ziggler to move to the main event, since Edge will be winning.

Sheamus/Morrison in a Ladder match. I like this feud. I got a feeling Morrison will win the rubber match but due to a returning Triple H, reigniting their feud. Morrison/Miz will face off in a WWE Title match at either the last Raw of 2010 or the Royal Rumble, which I HIGHLY doubt.

Miz and Randy Orton in a Tables match. The perfect match to protect Orton's credibility. Miz will be putting Orton through a table. Why? Because what would be the point of Miz winning the title in the first place? If they wanted to give someone a title that actually made more sense, they should've had Barret win on the Raw after SS.

I'm not really looking forward to this event because 1, I'm completely drained and 2, they really messed up with Survivor Series 2010. Nexus/Cena was the best storyline this year and the way it ended, with no screwjob and the fact it went RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE, really messed me up. And now that Cena is back in WWE, that match was pointless. Anyway, I'll have a reaction blog after the event, but I'm not really expecting much. Sheamus/Morrison, the IC Title match, and Kane/Edge should all be good. Other than that, I don't see the point of the other matches. Del Rio and Mysterio not having a Ladder Match is insane, Cena/Barrett facing off AGAIN and for no real reason, is pointless and unnecessary. They both need to get new feuds, right now. Triple H needs to come back so Barrett can feud with him and Cena needs to go feud with Miz. We all know Cena will be champion again, so it makes the most sense. God Bless!

The Celtic King

Well, Sheamus won the 2010 King of the Ring Tournament but for what reason? Isn't the King of the Ring for upcoming superstars? Sheamus is already that. He's a two time champ isn't he? The only reason I see him winning is because of Triple H returning. It will be the Celtic King VS The King of Kings. Makes sense. The whole tournament was kind of stupid to be honest. Why did they have McIntrye/Jackson end in a double countout? Jackson should have won and fought Sheamus, then he could've beaten Sheamus, continuing the storyline of up and comers beating him, then Del Rio could have beaten Jackson. I hope it's worth it WWE. Congrats to the Celtic Warrior for another amazing thing he can add to his career!

Still going crazy

It's been a little less than 12 hours since I've watched the epic Raw. I still can't believe Miz has finally did it. And just like I predicted, I was working when it happened. I knew I wouldn't be able to see the best moment in WWE this year live. I might take off next Monday for the KOTR. I would love to see that thing live. Anyway, I've watched the cash in about 100 times easily. It's crazy how far the Miz has come. I remember him being a nobody, who was just hosting things on Smackdown. Then, the best decision WWE has made in sometime, pairing up two young guns in Morrison and Miz and having them dominate the tag team division. After their break-up, I didn't know if Miz had what it took to make it to the big times. He was good on the mic, but he wasn't really getting a reaction from the crowd just yet, but WWE changed that when they let the kid feud with the top guy in the company. Yeah, he didn't beat him, but it certainly helped in molding his character. Eventually, he won a mid card title and actually held the damn belt for half a year. 6 MONTHS! After that, we all knew it was a matter of time before he would become the WWE Champion. With this victory, Miz has established himself as one of the top heels in the company, along with Barrett and Del Rio, Isn't it weird the people that everyone hates are all new guys? Well, the youth movement is definitely in full effect. For anyone that doesn't like how WWE is pushing young guys, go watch TNA and see some WWE reject reign supreme over there. It's about time up and comers are winning titles. Smackdown is suppose to be about new talent but all three young champions this year (Sheamus, Swagger, and Miz) won the title as part of the Raw brand. Sure, Swagger won Smackdown's title, but he was a Raw guy when he did it. And they still have Barrett to give it to when The Miz is done. At least Raw is giving new guys title matches. The last 5 title defenses Orton had were against Sheamus, Barrett, and Miz. Who would have thought that those three guys would be the top heels of Raw last year? And to make things EVEN BETTER, John Cena is still (kayfabe) fired from WWE. This is like when Edge, Christian, and Orton all won titles in the same night. This is like when Orton and Edge won the Rumble matches. This is like when Edge first cashed in MITB. What a feeling it is.

Barrett and Del Rio, you guys are next! BOOM!

Do I need to say it?

AAAAAAAWWWWWWWEEEEEEESSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEE! It has finally happened! The King of the Ring is back! Raw has Sheamus, Big Zeke, Daniel Bryan, and John Morrison representing the show. I'm rooting for Big Zeke to win. Let me stop. The REAL story is that The Miz has finally cashed Money in the Bank in and is now the NEW WWE Champion! After everything that happened with Orton, Cena, and Nexus, Miz picked his moment and won the title he worked hard to get. I thought Barrett winning the title would complete this year of the newcomer but it was actually The Miz. Congrats man! Out of everyone in WWE right now, you deserved it. The Miz is the man on Raw!

Let the era of Awesomeness BEGIN!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Before I get into my review, I would like to first state that WWE kind of dropped the ball at this event. There were a lot of storylines they could've taken off tonight, but WWE once again didn't capitalize on it. Both middle card title matches were good. Kind of mad both champs retained though. I'm glad Natalya finally won the Women's Title and it was good to see Beth Phoenix back finally. WWE Tag Title match was exactly what I expected; surprise surprise. Morrison beat Sheamus. THAT was probably the biggest surprise moment of the night, besides the main event of course. The elimination tag match was pretty good, not better than last year's Team Miz VS Team Morrison. What was the point of the damn match if Del Rio wasn't even involved in the final decision? Wasn't he the Team Captain? He didn't even get ELIMINATED!!! Jesus Christ. What a bad booking decision. Edge VS Kane ended in a shocker. Haven't seen that ending since HBK/HHH in 2002. Edge and Kane in a TLC match could be epic though. The main event. The match everyone was talking about, didn't end in some kind of screw job fashion. It didn't end with Barrett finally accomplishing his goal. He inadvertently accomplished a goal every male WWE fan has been wanting to see for a while. Cena counted the 1-2-3 for Orton on Sunday and he retained the championship. HOLY CRAP!!! Cena is gone from WWE! CENA IS GONE FROM WWE!!!!!! Well, for two months or so. He'll be back before Mania, hell before the Rumble, but the fact that WWE is finally proving that Cena is human is a shocker to me. So, Cena's gone from WWE. Now what? What's next for Orton? Will Miz finally cash in his contract sometime soon? Does Triple H finally come back? Do they finally push someone new? Barrett has had his chances. It's hard for me to say this, but it's time for him to move on. Barrett being WWE Champ is kind of hard for me to see right now. He's had three chances, it's time for someone new.

Who is going to be Orton's opponent at TLC? Some names I have are John Morrison, Sheamus, Big Zeke, Barrett, and Daniel Bryan. Morrison just upset a former two time WWE Champion in Sheamus. Sheamus and Orton have history, so another match between the two wouldn't be the worst thing, but it definitely would be the dumb thing. Ezekiel is has the WWE look so giving him a shot against the champ could be nice. Barrett may find another way at getting the WWE Championship, but he's the furthest from my list right now. Daniel Bryan is one of the best US champs in recent history, He's fighting all challengers and is putting on some amazing matches. A US Champ VS WWE Champ kind of thing could work so well. I'm guessing they won't announce a new #1 contender until the the 11/29 edition of Raw, which is suppose to be the King of the Ring tournament. Whatever happens, John Cena is gone from Raw. I don't know if he's getting a farewell kind of thing tomorrow night, but expect Barrett to try and get another shot at the WWE Title. Hell, it could even happen on Raw.

NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA HEY HEY HEY GOODBYE! Well, for at least 2 months!

Prediction time!

I think it's funny they announced 5 matches in one week. When they do that, it makes me believe they don't even care. Anyway, 8 matches on the card (isn't that a little too many for a 3 hour show) and 6 of them look pretty good. The match order should go like this:
WWE Tag Title Match
IC Title Match
Sheamus/Morrison
US Title Match
Divas Title Match
Elimination Match
World Title Match
WWE Title Match
This could be one of the best SS in recent history. Last year's was excellent for me. Both male elimination matches were good and so were both world title matches, especially the WWE Title match. Anyway, let the predictions commence!

Nexus VS Santino and Kozlov should be the opening contest. Knowing WWE, they'll open with the elimination match. Anyway, probably will be a quick match with Nexus retaining. While I like the team of Santino and Kozlov, I don't want them taking the titles off of Nexus when their leader is going to become champion later. Nexus wins cleanly.

Kaval VS Ziggler could be the best match of the night. Ziggler is easily one of the best guys on Smackdown and his matches show it. Ziggler/Bryan from Bragging Rights in one of the best matches of the year. Ziggler had the title for over 100 days now and Kaval being champion opens it up for feuds with McIntyre and Rhodes and allows Ziggler to be pushed to feud with Edge if they want to. Kaval wins in probably the best worked match of the night.

Sheamus/Morrison could be good. Sheamus actually pinned Morrison last year in that elimination match, so it actually worked out. Sheamus is just fighting Morrison because they don't have anything planned for him right now, so Sheamus will get the victory. He'll just keep patiently waiting for Triple H to come back. Maybe he'll win the King of the Ring tournament in a couple weeks, who knows.

DiBiase and Bryan is another potentially awesome match. Bryan has yet to have a bad PPV match so I have high expectations for this one. DiBiase is probably the most under used guy on Raw, so a US Title run would do him good, but with Bryan being on such a roll (he beat a former World champ in Swagger this past Raw) I could see him beating another opponent. I'm still waiting for the inevitable Bryan/Bourne and Bryan/Punk feuds, which would be fantastic. Either one would be a WrestleMania clash.

Divas Title match. I really don't care about the woman's division since Mickie has been out of it. Beth should be coming back soon so I'll start to care a little more then. Natalya will probably finally win the title.

I really want to see the classic Survivor Series elimination match. Like I keep saying, Team Miz made their careers from this match and there's no reason it can't happen again. It's no secret that WWE has big plans for Alberto Del Rio. Hell, he could be Edge's opponent at TLC. While that's highly unlikely, (Edge will probably face Kane in a TLC match) it's likely he'll be a surviving member of his team. Swagger has pretty much been established since he has been a World champion but the others could benefit from a victory. So I'm behind Team Del Rio.

Edge VS Kane. Not really looking forward to it. I want to see Edge win though. Like Ziggler, Kane has past the 100 day mark as champion, so it might be time for someone else to get it. Edge hasn't been champion since CM Punk last cashed in Money in the Bank, so it's time for another title run for the Rated R Superstar. And it would be #10 for the WWE veteran. He really needs it because he's currently tied for World Title victories with John Cena which is very alarming to me. Cena is going to be WWE Champion by WrestleMania so Edge needs to win so Cena won't past him.

The main event, the match everybody is talking about. Wade Barret VS Randy Orton with Cena as the guest referee. Barrett wins, Cena is gone from Nexus. Orton wins, Cena is gone from WWE. It's a win-win for me. Barrett wins, he finally gets the WWE Title and completes the Year of the Newcomer and would be the 3rd young guy this year to win a World Title, which would be amazing to me. Three complete nobodies would win the top titles in WWE. Anyway, if Orton wins, CENA IS GONE FROM WWE and Orton would still be WWE Champ. I still like Orton so it wouldn't be horrible if he was still champion. Now, it may seem obvious to everybody that Barrett will win the championship right? There is no way in hell that they would allow Cena to be fired from WWE right? Can you really imagine the WWE without John Cena right now? As much as it pains me to type this, he's kind of a big deal in WWE. I've heard rumors that he's suppose to be filming a new movie pretty soon so this could be a good way to get him off of TV, but the thing is, you know he's going to be back. There's no way in hell Cena will miss Wrestlemania. Even if he was injured, he's proved before he's Superman. So how does WWE do this? After giving Sheamus and Swagger titles this year and seeing the results, are they ballsy enough to give the WWE Title to Barrett? Once Sheamus won the title, he shot up and is now one of the top heels in the company. Swagger, didn't do so well. So they're 1-1 this year. I say give Barrett the title and it's not just because I'm a HUGE Nexus mark. It would work storyline wise. Barrett wins, holds the title til Royal Rumble. Loses because of Undertaker and then they set up the inevitable Barrett/Taker match at Mania, boosting his career even more. If they allow Orton to win, who would be next in line for a title match? Sheamus? Yeah, sorry, don't want to see another confrontation between them on PPV. Miz? He's Mr. Money in the Bank. He'll get the title on his own accord. The only logical outcome on Sunday is for Barrett to win. Barrett could feud with Orton one last time or hell, even face Big Zeke. Let HIM win the KOTT tournament on the 29th and face Barrett in a Tables Match. Kill two birds with one stone. Whatever the outcome on Sunday, it will change WWE forever. Either WWE will prove that the youth movement is on, or they will 'lose' one of their biggest stars. Also, don't forget that it IS Survivor Series, so expect a screwjob in at least one match, probably the match everybody wants to see. I'll see whoever reads this Sunday night after Barrett wins the title.

3 DAYS!

Oh thank God!

At least Smackdown is going to have a classic elimination match. This year, we got Team Mysterio VS Team Del Rio. Now I swear I called that in another post. Mysterio has Masters, MVP, Kingston, and Big Show on his team while Del Rio has Reks, Swagger, McIntrye, and Rhodes. Another year, another team full of young guys. Like I said before, all of Team Miz held title belts after winning that match and there's no reason why it can't happen again, especially with Captain Del Rio. Hell, Tito Santana introduced him and Chavo Classic drove him out to ring. You're definitely going to be World Champ if Tito Santana backs you up. Or at least an IC champ, Jesus. Anyway, that should be great and I hope Del Rio's team wins. We also get Santino and Kozlov facing Nexus for the tag titles and Sheamus facing Morrison. Where the hell is Ziggler and Bryan on this event? WHERE IS THE MIZ? I still think they could get another elimination match out. Team Ziggler VS Team Bryan. Team Ziggler can have Ziggler, Miz, DiBiase, Tyson Kidd, and Zack Ryder and have Team Bryan have Daniel Bryan, R-Truth, Goldust, DH Smith, and Ezekiel Jackson. That's really pushing it but they have Masters on Team Mysterio. Give the guys some screen time. They need to push Big Zeke anyway so let him show what he can do. Could be a good SS.

5 days til Barrett wins the title. This will be a great weekend if both Edge and Barrett can win gold. I'll have a post PPV blog right after Survivor Series!

EDIT: After watching all of Raw, DiBiase VS Bryan is more likely than a elimination match

Where is the classic SS matches?

Survivor Series 2010 is 10 days away and there's only three matches announced. What the hell? Where's the elimination matches? Where's Team Sheamus VS Team Santino? Where's Team Del Rio VS Team Mysterio? Why are they going to wait until the last week to announce matches? I know there have been two elimination style matches already but I love them. Last year's opening contest was only one of the best matches of the night, it jump started all those guys careers. Let me point out that all those guys (Ziggler, Swagger, The Miz, McIntyre, and Sheamus) won titles after that victory. and for Sheamus and Swagger, they were world titles. For Miz, he's a guaranteed World Champion. Anyway, I think they have enough feuds between both shows to get at least one out. Have Sheamus, Del Rio, DiBiase, The Miz, and Ziggler take on Santino, Mysterio, Goldust, Big Show, and Daniel Bryan. That looks most likely if they're going to do one. That could be a really good contest. Miz needs to win this one, he's on a pretty bad PPV losing streak. He gets dissed at SummerSlam, tapped out at NOC and HIAC, and then got beat at Bragging Rights. He must win whatever match he's in.

Anyway, 10 days until Barrett wins the WWE Title.

Light at the end of the tunnel

Well, after WWE made a horrible decision to end their PPV main event with a DQ, they announced the day Wade Barrett will finally win the WWE Title. Mark you calendars, November 21st, Barrett will face Orton again with the WWE Title up for grabs, but this time, his new pal John Cena will be the referee. Barrett promised Cena if that he doesn't win the title, Cena will be fired, but if he is the new champion, Cena will be free from Nexus. The plot thickens! As much as I want to see a new young guy win the title, will they really give him the title? The original plan was to have Barrett win at Bragging Rights so why would they wait another month to put it on him? I guess maybe they didn't want to completely demoralize the crowd. I mean, Kane just buried The Undertaker alive, which was the third time he beat him IN A ROW. Crazy scary no? It would be horrible for Cena, the top face in the company, to help Barrett win the title and have his plan be a success in the same night. It makes sense that way, but they did just that at HIAC. Barrett beat Cena in an ultimatum match then Bearer turned on Taker. I guess they learned their lesson this time. Well, over on Smackdown, Edge beat Del Rio and Mysterio and earned a chance to face Kane at Survivor Series. With both World Titles matches announced, it's no shock to me what will be the main event. Barrett/Orton main evented over a Buried Alive match 13 years in the making, so they better get the main event again. I can't see any other outcome beside Barrett winning the title. I mean, it's lose-lose for the fans. Even if Cena stays with WWE, that means he let Barrett win and he's back to chasing a title that's going to be impossible to get now. If Barrett loses, Cena will be gone from WWE. Not Raw, WWE PERIOD. There's no way in HELL that WWE will let that happen. So, like I said, mark you calendars. Once Barrett wins the title, he will cement what I have called The Year of the Newcomer.

BS

Kane did it again. Three times against Taker WOW. Congrats man, you have a new fan. Smackdown, not surprised. You're being treated like the A show so it's about time you guys started getting some credibility. AND DAMN! I definitely called it. Wade Barrett defeats Orton, but by DQ. I knew when Barrett said that if I don't win this match, not the title, the MATCH, you're fired. Great job WWE. Ending a f ing PPV with a DQ. Not much to say. We knew it was going to happen, it happened.

Who will have the Bragging Rights?

Well, this Sunday is Bragging Rights. 5 matches on the card and they all look alright. Women's title match, blah, who cares? Bryan VS Ziggler could be really good. Maybe a show stealer if they give it enough time. They really need to have a third inter-promotional match. If Ziggler wins then Team Raw wins or vice-versa, they who really has the Bragging Rights? Last year Smackdown won two so it made sense. But, anyway, I think Ziggler's going to win that one. Can't have Bryan dominating BOTH middle card divisions can we?

There's no tag title match on the card, which means Dashingtyre not being on Team Smackdown is even more stupid. Unless at the last minute they face somebody. I guess they could face The Hart Dynasty and then finally break up for good, but there are no other real tag teams available. Damn this tag team division.

I think the WWE Title match will be the third match of the night. Just like the match at HIAC, it will be the most talked about contest of the evening, even more than the Buried Alive match. Will Barrett win his first WWE Title? Will Cena do what Barrett tells him to? Will the Viper overcome the odds. Too many outcomes. Well, I'm firmly behind Barrett winning the title. Have been since Night of Champions. If they can give it to Swagger, they can give it to Barrett.

The 14 Man tag match is going to be crazy. It looks a lot better than the one from last year with mostly jobbers who will never do anything in their careers. Most of these guys have been either World champion, a middle card champion, or have a good looking future. Tyler Reks and Del Rio have HUGE potential to be top guys on Smackdown when the time is right. Ezekiel, whether he's heel or not, has the right look to be the next African American WWE Champion. Not going to lie, if Orton retains, I would like to see Orton and Jackson have a title match. A Sheamus/Ezekiel match could be great. Anyway, both teams look great. I've been hearing that they want SD to be the new A show, so I wouldn't be surprised if Smackdown won. More specifically, Del Rio getting the pin on either Miz or Sheamus so he could start getting his push towards to main event.

Kane/Taker. Really don't care. This is the billionth time they fought. At least this is the feud ender. Taker will finally win the title, Kane will be out for a couple of months and someone will get a shot. Del Rio, Mysterio, or Edge. Another Edge and Taker feud would be awesome. Another Taker/Edge TLC match? EVEN better. Well, right after Bragging Rights, Dexter, and me calming down after the Phillies win the NLCS, I'll post a follow up for Bragging Rights!

Nice day

I had a relaxing birthday. No work, just me and mt video games. If I had my VCR hooked up, I would've watched all my old WWE tapes as well. Yup, but now I'm 20. 1 more year and I'll be completely legal. Life sure goes by huh? Anyway, the WWE Title match at Bragging Rights is probably going to be the most talked about match of the night, regardless of the outcome. I, once again, have many different scenarios for how this match is going to end. OK, the ref getting knocked down is definitely going to happen regardless. If Barrett wins the match, he's not winning cleanly obviously. Barrett's going to order Cena to do something like give Orton an AA or hit him with a chair or something along those lines. He does it, Barrett hits Wasteland, new WWE Champ. It seems obvious but WWE has been doing that a lot with this feud. It looks like they want the bad guy to win for once. Another scenario has Barrett winning but when Cena actually turns heel in the process of the match. Then, Triple H finally returns to the WWE and appears as WWE's last hope against the Nexus. Triple H beats Barrett at Survivor Series and restarts his feud with Sheamus. If Orton wins, Cena will be the cause. He'll finally snap after weeks of Barrett's torment. They'll have some kind of final showdown at Survivor Series or something.

Of all the scenarios, I would love to see WWE put the title on Barrett. Let Barrett get a taste of what's to come in his career. He'll just be holding the title for either Triple H, Cena, or Miz anyway. At HIAC, Vince was upset with the Taker/Kane match because it didn't get too much of a fan reaction. Of course it didn't! The kids and everyone else were all shocked the Barrett really beat Cena. Look at the effect he had on the crowd. Could you imagine the looks he would get if he could dethrone Orton and demoralize the entire WWE? It would be so satisfying to finally see a heel get his way and THEN win the WWE Title, but I'll keep dreaming.

EDIT: Team Smackdown is complete! I was ALMOST right. Big Show will be the captain to Tyler Reks (random) Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Edge, Del Rio, and Mysterio. OK, Tyler Reks, who the heck are you? I've never seen him on Smackdown at all and he gets a spot? Fishy. Anyway, pretty good team. Dashingtyre better defend their titles at Bragging Rights as they both lost matches to get on the team. I wonder who's going to be #7 on Team Raw? Mark Henry isn't doing anything. Triple H could make his return like this instead of using Nexus. Cena could still be on the team if Barrett lets him. Hmmm, maybe a member of Nexus? They are apart of Raw. We'll see.

20 Years

Well, today is my 20th birthday. I got 75 bucks for my birthday so I'm about to head to GameStop. Anyway, Bragging Rights is finally shaping up. The Miz is going to lead Team Raw into victory! We actually have a really great team this time around. Miz, Sheamus, Santino, Morrison, R-Truth, and CM PUNK! Thank God, CM Punk is now back home on Raw where he belongs. With 3 former World champions on their team and with one more slot left, Raw got it this year. I have no idea who will be the 7th person but they can't mess this team up. I guess on Smackdown they'll have Big Show, Edge, Del Rio, Mysterio, Kofi, and Dashingtyre. That would be the only team that could rival Team Raw. It sure would be a lot better than last year's match.

I'm loving the Cena/Nexus storyline so much. It looks like they're getting two more members which they desperately need with Tarver gone and Skip injured. Husky and Michael are a welcome addition to the group.

Cena is finally put into place!

Wade Barrett continues to be my hero. After Cena tried to once again overcome the odds, the Raw GM made the rule where Cena has to do what Barrett tells him or Cena is fired. Then, there was a battle royal to see who Orton was going to face at Bragging Rights. It came down to Cena and Barrett and Cena had to let Barrett win! What an epic moment that was on Raw. Well, Barrett has another shot at making his career. I can't see him beating Orton to be honest, but Barrett's going to have Cena make Barrett win or he's fired. Cena's probably going to hit Barrett or something, and he's going to win by DQ. Something stupid. They refuse to put the title on Barrett. Oh well. I got to get some sleep so I can get Castlevania in the morning.

WADE BARRETT!

BOOOOOOM! Wade Barrett is my freaking hero. The impossible has happened! Wade F'ing Barrett defeated John Cena (with the help of two Season 2 NXT members) to finally have Cena be Nexus! Life is good! Oh, and what about Kane? He defeated Taker TWICE in a row now? When's the last time someone has done that? Seriously? What a shocker man. Orton and Sheamus had a fantastic match inside the HIAC. It was a back and forth match that was given a good amount of time. Unfortunately, Miz didn't cash in, but I guess because it would've been too obvious. They want Miz to cash in unexpectedly. Like when CM Punk did it both times. I'm convinced it's now going to happen on a Raw that I'm not going to see. Well, ladies and gentlemen, the story isn't that fact that Orton retained or the fact that Kane beat Taker again (even though it was shocking). Wade Barrett has achieved his goal. After 3 months of attacks and unsuccessful attempts to defeat Cena and take over WWE, Barrett has finally done it. I can't go on enough about this shocking news. This maybe the BEST THING WWE has done this year IMHO. Sheamus becoming champion was great, but Barrett pinning Cena and making him join Nexus, is too good to pass up. The only thing that can top this is Miz winning the WWE Title this year. Fatman out!

HIAC is this weekend

This two week between events isn't working for me. There's no real build-up, but whatever. So, what will be the last match on the card? Kane and Taker SHOULD be the last match if you think about it. The first time they met in WWE was in a HIAC and it has the most build-up out of all the other matches. Orton/Sheamus will ONLY main event if they want The Miz to cash in his contract. Barrett/Cena could main event, if they decide to have a HIAC last minute. Legacy/DX got the main event last year and Orton/Cena had more build-up then Legacy/DX so a Barrett/Cena main event isn't out of the question. And it would be cool to see Barrett main event his 3rd straight PPV event IMO. That would only be the main event if Cena would lose. Let the crowd go home thinking, wow, what's going to happen next on Raw? They would get the next show's ratings up for sure. It's really a toss up though. Does WWE want The Miz to be WWE Champion? If they do, let Orton/Sheamus get the main event. Does WWE want the crowd to go home happy by seeing Taker defeat his brother in a HIAC? If they do, let Kane/Taker main event. Or, does WWE want to take a step in the right direction, and let Wade Barrett get the biggest win of his career, and have Cena join Nexus, making the crowd want to see the next Raw EVEN MORE? Let Barrett/Cena main event with Barrett winning. Just my two cents. I'll have a post up immediately following the event on Sunday. Well, maybe not. Dexter is on at 11 after HIAC and I like to pay attention to that, so we'll see.

Hell in a Cell was way too predictable

Well, like everyone one else, I predicted each HIAC main event. The only problem I have is with the Barrett/Cena match. WHY THE HELL IS IT NOT A HIAC MATCH? It's the BIGGEST Raw feud this year. Didn't Nexus cost Cena the WWE Title like three times this year? Didn't Cena defeat The Nexus at SummerSlam? Didn't Barrett eliminate Cena from the Six Pack Challenge match? These two guys hate other. Sheamus/Orton is a alright feud, but it doesn't hold a candle to the intensity of the Barrett/Cena feud. They need a HIAC. If this is going to end their feud, then they need to have the HIAC match. Isn't it the FEUD ENDER? Come on man. Just give them the match they deserve.
Sheamus/Orton could be good. Three PPV these two are main eventing so it's good to see someone is finally going to win cleanly between the two. Once Orton wins, he better watch is back. The Miz is going to be hot off his 2nd loss to Bryan so he'll be finally wanting that WWE gold. Then Miz and Orton can finally feud. Or, if they don't feud, let Wade beat Cena and have him finally go heel. Orton is WAY OVER with the crowd now, so if they want to do it, the time is now. No pun was intended there. Cena being in Nexus could help take Raw to a new level.
GAMING HEAVEN starts Tuesday for me. Dead Rising 2 will finally be released. Then, on October 5th, Enslaved and CASTLEVANIA: Lords of Shadow both release. Ever since I read IGN's preview of it, I've been excited. Shadow of the Colossus and God of War in one game? I'm sold. Enslaved looks promising, I need a demo first though. Then two weeks later. Vanquish and FALLOUT NEW VEGAS release. If you want to know why I'm excited for Fallout, go and read March 2009's posts. Vanquish is from the Bayonetta team and I played the demo. Instantly fell in love with it. Then, on the last Tuesday in October, Smackdown VS Raw 2011 will release. I've been waiting for a mode like WWE Universe for a while now, so I can't wait for that. If I had to rank all the games coming out to the top three it would be this:
3. Dead Rising 2
2. Fallout New Vegas
1. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Something about it: I think it could be a GOTY candidate

The Viper reigns!

So, Wade Barrett didn't win the WWE Title after all. BUT, Randy Orton did. Yes, WWE's Apex Predator finally won his 7th World Title in the WWE. As long as Cena didn't win, I'm fine. WOW, was Barrett close or what? I really don't care that he didn't win, but in one month, he pinned Orton and Cena. If that doesn't prove he's ready for the main event, I don't know what will. Unfortunately, Jericho lost which means he's 'gone' from WWE. Boo, he had some of the best matches of 2009 with Mysterio. He will be missed. Sheamus loses his title for the 2nd time this year in an elimination match. How unfair is that? Let me get off the WWE Title match real quick. Daniel Bryan made Miz tap out, not shocking. McCool unifies the titles, boring. KANE defeated Taker CLEANLY, HUGE SHOCKER. I thought they were just going to fight until they both got tired or something, but WOW. Good job Kane. New tag champs in Drew and Cody = AWESOME. I'm liking those two together. Maybe this is WWE's way to reinvent the tag team division. Well, HIAC's main events are set. Barrett VS Cena is probably going to happen, Sheamus/Orton is looking likely, and of course Kane/Taker will main event.

Monday, September 13, 2010

Night of Champions on Sunday!

Well, the main event will be the Six Pack ELIMINATION Challenge. Well, no way Wade Barrett is winning that now. It's going to be either Sheamus or Orton. Orton is easily the hottest guy on the roster now and winning the championship will only help that. Then, Sheamus will use his rematch clause and face Orton at HIAC. It just makes more sense for Sheamus to use his rematch clause then to have Orton get ANOTHER shot at the championship. Then, Miz will cash in on Orton, setting up for their feud, then eventually a Cena/Miz, which will be ten times better this time around. A Miz/Cena WM27 match isn't out of the question just yet. Or even at Royal Rumble. Anyway, that match really could go anyway, but I think we can safely say that Edge or Jericho won't be winning. Rumors say that both we go back to Smackdown in the fall, and that's probably a smart move. When Triple H comes back, there will be WAY too main events on the brand. Could you imagine Triple H, Cena, Orton, Sheamus, Jericho, and Edge on one show? Too many egos on one show. Raw can survive without the two. Barrett is a sure fire main eventer and when Triple H comes back, he'll fill in the void. Add The Miz, and Raw can definitely do well without the two. As long as Cena doesn't win on Sunday, I'll be happy. I'm still openly rooting for Wade Barrett, but with the elimination rule, I'm not optimistic for you kid

SPOILER ALERT!

In a move that shocked NO ONE, Kane will indeed be defending his World Heavyweight Title against The Undertaker. WOW, that took long enough. Sorry for the huge spoilers everyone. Also, Kaval won the 2nd season of NXT. Nobody else deserved it more than him to be honest. I don't know what WWE was thinking with the new Nexus, but hopefully, they will go to Smackdown and start raising some hell over there.

That's the only time they would win

The Nexus finally defeated Team WWE...two weeks after SummerSlam in a rushed main event match, and they didn't even eliminate all five members. The biggest shock for me was when Justin Gabriel hit the 450 Splash on Cena and pinned him CLEANLY. CLEANLY! No Nexus help! Just hit the splash and pinned him. Of course, he was eliminated 5 seconds later, but it's an elimination no doubt. Then, Wade Barrett finally gets some credibility by pinning Orton, but why couldn't they have won at SummerSlam? I hate when WWE does that. The Nexus is there weakest right now, so it made Team WWE look even weaker by losing to them. Well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. I'm watching Raw was I type this and I just went crazy over Miz's new T-shirt. Hello, I'm Awesome! LMAO, I'm getting that for sure. Also, I was reading the the Raw results and the Nexus beat up THE UNDERTAKER? Are you kidding me? Without Shepfield? I really don't like their chances of survival without him. Anyway, Melina VS Lay-Cool was announced. I guess they're going to make Melina the first woman to hold both titles. It should be her in my opinion. I love how the Women's championship match has been announced BEFORE the f'ing World Title match! Are you kidding me? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The match that will have the MOST storyline in recent history hasn't even been announced yet. I don't see how that makes ANY sense. Well, maybe they're still holding off for that Six Pack Challenge for Smackdown. It would make sense. Undertaker/Kane/Mysterio/Del Rio/CM Punk/Big Show. Let Kane win, since we all know Sheamus is going to lose to SOMEBODY. I don't know who is going to beat him, probably Wade, but he's not walking out as champion. If he does, I'll be really shocked. Storyline wise, it doesn't make sense. Sheamus' biggest rival on Raw was taken out by him. If Triple H was healthy and made his return at SS, then yes, Sheamus could win the match. But, an Orton/Sheamus HIAC over a Wade Barrett/Cena HIAC? I go with the latter just for storyline purposes. That way, Kane/Taker EASILY get the main event they deserve. Like I said in previous posts, let Barrett hold the damn title for TWO WEEKS. Jesus Christ. Sheamus held the title for 70 days, 10 WEEKS, in his first reign. You guys can give Barrett the title for 14 measly days. At least then your top guy will be champion again...for a couple of minutes until THE MIZ comes out to finally win the title. Hey, I can dream right?
Oh crap, I forgot all about WWE's next big Smackdown star, Alberto Del Rio! I'm looking forward to seeing what WWE does with him. I mean, I can't remember the last time a rookie came out of nowhere and put a WWE great on the sideline. That's actually groundbreaking for WWE. TNA does that stuff all the time, but WWE? That's something new. I wouldn't be shocked if Del Rio was champion by the end of the year. The way Smackdown is right now, who knows?

900 Episodes of Raw

What will WWE have planned for tonight? We're three weeks away from Night of Champions and we only have one match announced. Daniel Bryan and The Miz should be announced either tonight or next week. I have a feeling it's going to be really about Raw's past tonight and not so much on the current storyline feuds. With Nexus now down to 5 members, what will they do? Will Darren Young be put back into the group? And with Skip Shepfields' injury coming from a match with the Hart Dynasty, will they be soon chasing after the tag titles? LayCool said they would be on Raw tonight, so a Women's Title Unification bout will be coming. Not really interested in the Women's division anymore. Maybe if Beth Phoenix, Maryse, and Mickie James were involved, yeah, but McCool to me is boring. Layla is drop dead sexy, but she's not really a wrestler. Melina is sexy and is actually pretty good in the ring. It's weird how much women's wrestling has changed in the past five years. Does anyone remember when Lita and Trish Stratus MAIN EVENTED Raw? That's when WWE's women wrestling was at its peak. I miss those days. Anyway, I hope to see some legends come back for tonight's show. Obviously, Flair and Hogan are out, but what about Stone Cold? It's always a pleasure to see him give someone a Stunner. Maybe The Rock can do a video thing like he did for Wrestlemania 23? Unfortunately, I won't be able to see Raw live due to work tonight, but hopefully, it will be a good one.

October is coming up and that means video game season in on! It really starts at the end of September. Dead Rising 2, sequel to one of my favorite 360 games, comes out on the 28th. I've been really looking forward to this, I just hope the addition of multiplayer doesn't ruin the overall single player experience. Then, on October 5th, two games I want to check out will be released. First, is Enslaved. It's made by Ninja Theory, who did the average Heavenly Sword. It looks like a pretty standard adventure game, but I'll give it a try. The other game that comes out is from a series that I hold dear to me, and that is the Castlevania series. If you've been reading the blog for a while, you should know that Symphony of the Night is probably my favorite game of all time. It's up there alright. So anytime something Castlevania related comes out, I'm excited. Now, the 3D CV's have been, how you say, not that great. The Nintendo 64 ones were good to me, but the PS2 ones, no. But, after reading some previews, I'm pretty excited for this game. A God of War Castlevania game that has some length to it? Yeah, I'm excited.

Skip to two weeks later, Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout 3 was my 2nd favorite game from 2008. I loved the ability to do anything I wanted and the fact that I could stay an ass for the whole game. This is probably my most anticipated for October. THEN, on the final week of October, this little wrestling business called the WWE will release SVR 2011. Yeah sure, it's going to be like most of the SVR games, but I'll finally get to play as Sheamus! SHEAMUS! I can finally kick Evan Bourne right in his face with the Sheamus Kick! That's going to be an exciting day. But all joking aside, I'm really looking forward to the latest edition to that game. I just hope I have the money for all these games!

6 Pack Challenge?

Alright, this will contain spoilers for next week's Raw so don't read if you want to be surprised!
Well, the main event of Night of Champions has been announced. Sheamus has the unfortunate task of defending his WWE Title against 5 hungry contenders in Edge, Jericho, Randy Orton, John Cena, and WADE BARRETT! The Nexus leader will be cashing in on his NXT contact title shot! Once again, I called this match. Well, basically. I said there would be a championship scramble match, but they one upped me this time. Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars. September 19th will be the day that Nexus will rule WWE Raw. I'm pretty sure the other members of Nexus will go against the Hart Dynasty, win the titles, and then defend them under the freebird rule ala The Spirit Squad and of course, Wade Barrett will win the WWE Title. I can feel it! It all makes sense. Look, Wade Barrett wins the WWE Title at NOC. Guess what event is two weeks later? Hell In A Cell. If Barrett wins the title, he can defend against Cena IN a HIAC match and Cena can win back the WWE Title. I think that's the best way to get the title back on Cena. Since Triple H won't be coming back any time soon, I think giving the title to Barrett for TWO WEEKS won't be too bad. Hell, Orton's first title reign was 28 days. Just try it WWE. But, let's not forget about the Miz. He'll probably face Daniel Bryan at NOC and drop the US Title to him, so he'll be looking for so championship gold and what better time then after a very tiring 6 pack challenge. Hmm, maybe Sheamus will retain, only to lose it to the Miz afterwards. Or maybe Orton? But, I can't see Miz winning the title then having to defend it in a HIAC. He doesn't have a big enough feud for it, you know? Barrett wins the title, Cena beats Barrett in HIAC, Miz cashes in on Cena and he loses the title after winning a brutal match for the 3rd time in his career. Miz and Cena have a fall feud, leading to matches at Bragging Rights, Team Miz VS Team Cena at SS, and the TLC main event at TLC. Maybe, possibly. But, NOC can go either way. Maybe Triple H is healthy enough and will compete at HIAC, but it's a longshot right? So here's what I think Raw's NOC card will be:
6 Pack Challenge for the WWE Title (confirmed)
Daniel Bryan VS The Miz for the US Title (all but confirmed)
The Nexus VS The Hart Dynasty for the WWE Tag Team Titles (longshot but the right choice)
Melina VS LayCool for both Women Titles (all but confirmed)
Alright, only two more titles left. Kane and Undertaker MIGHT happen, but I suggest they also do a 6 Pack Challenge. Kane VS Undertaker VS Big Show VS CM Punk VS Jack Swagger VS Rey Mysterio. Dolph Ziggler can face Kofi again or Christian, if he's not in the World Title match. For the World Title match, Kane wins, then the Hell In A Cell match that's been 12 years in the making happens, and Undertaker wins the World Title. I don't know where Smackdown goes from there. Another CM Punk feud? Will McIntyre step up to the plate? Smackdown's title picture is hard to predict because of The Undertaker. I can't see some rookie like McIntyre beating him. It's just not going to happen. Well, whatever happens, WWE has a nice fall coming up.

Sunday, August 15, 2010

Ah, once again WWE, you disappoint me.

I have A LOT to rant about what could have been the most monumental PPV in WWE history.
First off, I feel sorry for Matt Hardy, Christian, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston, and Dolph Ziggler. The first four guys weren't even on the card. OK, so I thought Kofi and Ziggler were going to get enough time to have a good match, but of course not. That would make sense. So what happens? The Nexus attacks both men and messes up the match. A shocker for me. I really think the six pack challenge was the way to go. Oh well.
Alicia Fox was just proving herself worthy of being the Divas' Champion. Then, Melina just comes back out of nowhere and wins back the belt. Bad booking in my opinion. THEN, LayCool comes out to beat up Melina. What the hell kind of decision was that? Maybe one of those Divas will be the first woman to hold both titles at the same time. Makes sense to me.
Straight Edge Society in the filler match. Of course, Big Show wins. It's a shame what they're doing to CM Punk. He had the BEST feud of last year and was in the main event of SummerSlam last year. Now, he's in a lower card feud with The Big Show? How did things get so bad.
Sheamus, Sheamus, Sheamus. Why can't you win a title match fair and square? Why won't they let you do it? It was a pretty good match overall. I hate endings like this at big PPVs. leave that for an Over the Limit or at TLC, not at SummerSlam. That's a bad decision right there. You want to know the part that really pissed me off? When Orton RKOed Sheamus and they kept the camera on him for a while, basically teasing Miz fans that he was going to cash in. Then, it went to a promo for something. I really hated that. JUST GIVE MIZ THE WWE TITLE ALREADY!
Well, who didn't see The Undertaker returning? Oh, and it was KANE who attacked him? Oh my God, I didn't see that coming. Now that sets up for the inevitable Kane/Taker Hell in A Cell match. At least WWE planned that way ahead. I'm really looking forward to that match though. I hope it doesn't bomb.
(heavy sigh) You guys tried. Tried hard, but failed. First of all, DANIEL BRYAN? What a twist that was! Great job by WWE to keep that under wraps. How dare Team Cena disrespect Miz like that! I didn't really like that. Overall, it was a FANTASTIC main event. Kudos to WWE for putting 7, well, actually 8 rookies in the main event at one of their big PPVs. And they did a great job. The ending though, really? Cena got a DDT on the 'concrete'. He then avoids the 450 splash, pins Gabriel, then locks in the STF on Wade Barret. Really? Really? Cena couldn't let the young guys go over just one time? The Rock lost to Brock Lesnar and that win made his career at SummerSlam. Overall, the event was good but missing many things. No real leader of Nexus was revealed, The Miz didn't cash in, and Cena buried The Nexus. Better luck next time WWE.

Tonight's the night

SummerSlam is tonight ladies and gentlemen. The biggest event of the summer. 6 match card, probably another one to be added and here are my predictions!
Dolph and Kofi should kick the show off. I really REALLY hope that somehow, someway, McIntyre, Christian, Hardy, and/or Cody Rhodes can get involved in this match. Make it a match of the night kind of thing. If that doesn't happen, Ziggler wins.
SES VS Big Show. Hopefully, SES will win, but it is Big Show.
Melina VS Alicia Fox. I think it's a little early to give her the title, so I'll go with Fox.
Kane and Mysterio. I'm sensing a Kane victory, with Undertaker making his return, setting up for the inevitable Kane/Taker feud, which will end when Taker beats Kane at HIAC. Yawn, Smackdown's so predictable.
Sheamus and Orton. Really could go either way. Sheamus really needs to beat someone other than Evan Bourne cleanly but with the stipulation if Orton loses, he can't get another title shot in place, I lean more towards Orton. I could see Sheamus winning then Orton RKOing him after the match. Here comes Miz, ready to cash in and this time, Orton does nothing, because he knows he can't get another title match against Sheamus. Makes sense right? Miz wins title and that sets up for the main event. So, I'm going with Sheamus with the CLEAN victory over Orton, but with Miz cashing in after the match.
The main event 7-on-7 match. OK, this is the hardest match I had to predict in a while. SO many possible endings. Could HHH be the 7th member and potential leader of the Nexus? Is WWE ballsy enough to let Cena be the real leader? Probably not. I think Miz will be hot off his WWE Title win and then reveal he is the leader of Nexus. The best young guy on Raw leading the most dominant group in the WWE? Sky's the limit. Miz and Cena will re ignite their feud and Miz loses the title at HIAC to Cena. Something along those lines, I maybe wrong, but The Miz will play a BIG part in one of the Raw main events. I'll do a reaction post RIGHT AFTER SummerSlam. Let's see if I know WWE as well as I think I do.

While I'm waiting for Scott Pilgrim VS The World: The Game

Well, SummerSlam is 5 days away. I always love the summer spectacle. We got some good matches, but I'm really looking forward to Nexus VS Team Cena. It's got a good storyline going with it and it's easily going to be the main event. Kudos to WWE for letting 7 rookies main event the 2nd biggest event in the WWE. I think the reason I'm really looking to the match is because of the many possible ways it could end. Will The Miz join Team Cena? Will the Real leader of Nexus be revealed? Can Team Cena keep their egos in check? I have a couple of scenarios for SummerSlam, but I've been wrong before. Alright, The Miz joins Team Cena and reveals himself as the real leader. Then of course, the Nexus jumps new champion Randy Orton to win the title on the next Raw or maybe even at SummerSlam. It's a stretch, but Miz being the leader would be even greater for his career. I'm just saying. Or maybe Triple H will come back and be the final member of Team Cena and turn on them in the end. Something big is going to happen at SummerSlam. Somehow, someway, The Nexus will win at SummerSlam. You're either Nexus us or against us.
EDIT: After waiting the whole day, I finally played Scott Pilgrim VS The World and I gotta say, it's one of the year's best downloadable titles. It's a challenge, it's chock full of video game references, and it's fantastic to play. It was worth the wait though.

So, no Edge or Jericho?

Really? REALLY? The two guys I really like are off the team. Not liking that decision. Who's going to replace them, The Hart Dynasty? Yeah, so much for the dream team. Only 3 former world champions on the team now. A total Nexus domination looks even more possible now. I just thought of something. What the hell are Edge and Jericho going to do at SummerSlam now? Two of Raw's biggest superstars are now not on the card at the 2nd biggest PPV of the year. Bad booking by WWE there. I still like the storyline with Team Cena imploding, but at the cost of losing the two of the best members of the team? Not so much. Maybe instead of The Hart Dynasty, DiBiase and Bourne will join the team, and Edge and Jericho will reunite and face The Hart Dynasty for the tag titles. Haha, I can dream right? This SummerSlam also has The Miz off the card. Sickening. I understand though. It's for a reason. He's going to try and cash in after the WWE Title match is over. WWE is teasing it pretty hard, but I just don't know. Yeah, I REALLY want to see The Miz cash in the contract and win the title, but it's maybe too soon. Could anybody see The Miz defending his title in a HIAC at HIAC? I think that's unrealistic. Sheamus VS Triple H should be the main event for that PPV, but with The Game injured, who knows when he'll come back? Whatever, after the way WWE pushed Sheamus and Swagger, I wouldn't be surprised if The Miz did win the title at SS. Once again, should be a surprising SummerSlam event. So, two world title matches, a 3-on-1 handicap match, and the Elimination Tag Team Main Event. Just need Melina VS Alicia Fox, Dolph Ziggler VS Kofi, and maybe The Miz VS Bourne, or Edge/Jericho VS The Hart Dynasty (whoever isn't in the elimination tag main event) and you got a fantastic SummerSlam card.

About time!

SPOILERS!!!!! After a year of facing Rey Mysterio and John Morrison in some epic encounters (the opening match from SS 2009 was amazing.) for the IC Title, Dolph Ziggler has FINALLY won the championship! Yup, on the August 6th edition of Smackdown, everyone will see Dolph Ziggler defeat Kofi Kingston for the title. I thought it would happen at this year's SS, but I guess we'll see a rematch at SS instead. Maybe a TT with Cody Rhodes? Even better. Also, we get to see The Straight Edge Society, CM Punk, Luke Gallows, and Joey Mercury face The Big Show in a handicap match. Another match I want to see. Really should be a good SummerSlam this year. It's going to be hard to top last year's, especially DX/Legacy, Ziggler/Mysterio, and Punk/Hardy, but I think Sheamus/Orton has a good chance of being a good main event, The 7-on-7 should be an interesting match, and even Kane/Mysterio could be alright. Oh well, time will tell.

Guess that's his gimmick

Another cash-in attempt, another wrestler thwarts it. I can see Miz trying to do this maybe once or twice a month from now on until he wins the title. I'm really liking Raw right now though. The tensions between Team Cena and themselves, The Miz and his cash-ins, Orton being over with the fans, and The Nexus themselves. Also, Sheamus and his talking always makes me laugh. SummerSlam is under three weeks away. And now that the 7-on-7 is Elimination style, I can see that being the main event. It's got the most storyline to it and no offense to Orton/Sheamus, that match has already happened. I guess that's the right way to end the event. I'm still waiting for the REAL leader of The Nexus to be revealed. Triple H? Maybe. He's on the side with an injury right now and it could the perfect way to re-introduce him to the fans. Jericho? That's the safe pick. Jericho has the mic skills and the persona to be the real leader. But, it's also the obvious pick. Now Cena? That's the risky pick. Cena is a top merchandise seller in the WWE and the top guy for the kids to look up to. If they turned Cena heel, they would have to look toward Orton as the top guy on Raw and I don't know if Orton is ready yet. Or if the fans are. A heel Cena could change WWE for the better though. It's too off the wall for WWE to try. Maybe one day, but Cena being a bad guy is just a pipe dream. Anyway, The Nexus dominated last night. Sure, it was against Evan Bourne and the jobbers but they showed they were a cohesive unit. I don't think they'll be the dominate at SummerSlam though. I could see Cena being the last person on his team and he's against like 3 or 4 of them. Then it comes down to Cena and Barrett and of course, Cena overcomes the odds and gets the victory. Or the leader will be revealed and cost Cena the match. There are a lot of ways that match could go. After typing about it, I really can't see any other match being the main event but this. This wait for SS is going to be hard.

New Avatar series, SD's MITB Title match, what I'm playing

I think I'm going to cover all my major interests in one blog entry. Let's do this.

So, I just heard that Avatar: The Last Airbender AKA my favorite animated series is getting a spin-off which follows the new Avatar, who is being trained by Avatar Aang's son. I'm already excited. Can't wait until 2011. Speaking of good TV shows, I can't wait until the fall season begins. All my regulars will be back, like The Office, Chuck, and my favorite, Dexter. I can't wait to see what turn Dexter takes after what happened to his wife. September can't come any sooner.

I've been playing Uncharted 2 lately and it's pretty amazing. It's not too much different than the first one, but it's more of the same great formula. I also love Nathan as a character. He's funny and optimistic, even though he's in life or death situations. I'm also loving the longevity of it. I'm 5 hours in and only half way through the game. When I was 5 hours in Uncharted 1, I was 80% in the game. Fantastic game. It's truly PS3 greatest exclusive series. Anyway, I bought Dragon Quest IX a couple weeks ago. I wonder why it wasn't made for PS3. I mean, it's great on the DS, but I prefer my big scale RPGs on console. So far, DQ9 is great. I'm not that far in, but I'm lovin' it. (Working atMcDonalds is having a negative effect on me)

First off, I heard Triple H is injured, which ruins the whole reason why Sheamus is the WWE Champion. Triple H was suppose to return for SummerSlam, and face Sheamus for the title then face him at Night of Champions, then end the feud in Hell in A Cell. Of well, The Miz will become champion for sure now. Well, as of the SD tapings, Kane will face Rey Mysterio for the World Title at SummerSlam. Damn. I got a feeling that it will turn into a Triple Threat with Swagger, which I think would be the better match. Kane wins, then enters a program with Undertaker, which concludes at Hell in A Cell. Now that's three matches. I'm thinking Evan Bourne VS Miz will be added, along with Kofi defending against either Ziggler, Hardy, Christian, McIntyre, or Rhodes. You see what Kane did to Smackdown? There was SO much opportunity in SD's MITB match. Why didn't a young guy win the title. Could you imagine a any of those guys facing Mysterio for the title at SummerSlam? A Christian/Mysterio feud would be great. Last year, Smackdown, actually, WWE, did it right with Punk and Hardy. Those two main evented back-to-back PPVs, including SummerSlam, which is the WrestleMania of the summer. Why won't they let two young guys do it again? (sigh) I can rant and rant, but it won't change a thing. If Taker doesn't come back, I'll actually be rooting for Mysterio. With him as champion, Smackdown will thrive. Trust me. If Mysterio wins at SS, he could face Kingston, McIntyre, Christian, and Rhodes in a Scramble match at Night of Champions. They could be their experiment. To see if the young guys are ready for the main event. Who knows? Maybe someone from WWE will read this, take the idea, and do it. Or maybe Kane, Mysterio, and Swagger will all get injured and they will be forced to put the title on Christian. But I digress. SummerSlam is looking better and better by the day.

OK Summerslam is looking alright so far

So, Sheamus' 2nd WWE Title reign is looking just like his first. He beats Cena than faces Orton at a big event. Sheamus/Orton should be much better this time since Sheamus is a more accomplished wrestler and now that Orton is WAY over with the fans. I'm looking forward to it. I'm more looking forward to what The Miz has in store for the winner. For some reason, I think Miz is going to cash in at SummerSlam. It could go either two ways. Orton doesn't see it coming, Miz wins, and they feud for the next couple of months or Orton wins and hits Miz with an RKO out of nowhere, which Orton is known for. Hmmm, I don't want the Miz to be the first one to lose with the MITB contract. Leave that to a jobber, not The Miz. I can't believe R-Truth came back and ruined The Miz's chances to become WWE Champion, but I guess it's a good thing that it's didn't happen, since I wasn't home to see it live.

The 7-on-7 match looks pretty good. Bret Hard was a shocker. I wish I saw Raw live though. Would of been much more surprising than reading the results then watching it. Cena's team better win, they have 5 world champions on their dang team. I'm actually surprised they didn't just have Cena VS Barrett at SummerSlam. Maybe they'll keep the feud going to October and have them face off in a Hell in A Cell. Makes more sense since that's the feud ender. Well, now that Raw has two main matches, it's Smackdown's turn. With Kane as World Champion, SD's World Title match probably won't be TOO exciting. Could we see a Taker/Kane match or are we doomed to Swagger/Kane? I don't like Mysterio as World Champion, but the thought of having Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio fight for the World Title at one of the year's biggest wrestling events gets me excited. Oh well. Maybe CM Punk will jump in since Kane cost him the title at F4W and fight Kane at SummerSlam. Of course, CM Punk wouldn't win, but it would give me something to look forward to. I don't understand WHY CM Punk doesn't have the title. He could feud with Mysterio, Christian, and Kingston. All which could've been FANTASTIC main events matches. Well, I can dream can't I? Hopefully, the SD main event will be announced at the tapings tomorrow. We'll see right? But so far, SummerSlam is looking pretty good.

So, where does WWE go from here?

So, Kane wins MITB and FINALLY wins another World Title. So, why the HELL did Mysterio win the World Title in the first place? That was like when Jericho beat Edge at WM, then lost to Swagger on Smackdown. (sigh) So, SD main event at SummerSlam went from something like Kingston/Mysterio to Swagger/Kane. Stupid Smackdown. So much potential for each winner BESIDES Kane and look what they did. At least Raw did it right. I thought for a couple seconds that Bourne was going to make his career, but of course, that will come later. Now, I have to wait until the day that Miz cashes in his contract and becomes the US and WWE Champion. At least that's back-to-back events where a favorite wrestler of mine has done something amazing. Sheamus wins his 2nd WWE Title and now Miz has a guaranteed title match for said title ANYTIME he wants. This is the 2nd time in MITB where one of my favorites has won. The other time was Edge. I've always liked CM Punk, but he wasn't my favorite until he cashed in on Hardy. My friend was saying that it's in Miz's character to flaunt the MITB briefcase around for ALL to see, so I can see Miz holding onto the case for a while. WWE, you gave Miz a golden opportunity. PLEASE don't mess it up.

Oh yeah, I got a PS3

Yup, on June 15th, I finally got a PS3. I actually forgot to type about it because of E3 and of course all the wrestling stuff going on, but, yup, I got one. I got White Knight Chronicles, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Demon's Souls (OMG What a great game, more on that later.) I also bought Valkyria Chronicles, God of War 3, InFamous, and Heavy Rain. I played Uncharted from GameFly and I'm getting Last Rebellion and Folklore sometime this week. All the games I have are FANTASTIC, especially InFamous, Heavy Rain, and Demon's Souls. 3D Dot Game Heroes is exactly like I thought it was going to be, a great homage to Zelda. It's Zelda in every way and that's not a bad thing. WKC is like FF12, a single player MMORPG. It's good, a lot better than I heard from reviewers. Valkyria Chronicles is a fantastic SRPG. What a little gem that turned out to be. I didn't play it that long, but I can tell it's going to be a great game. Uncharted is my favorite action game on PS3 right now, that is, until I play Uncharted 2. Great story, great gameplay, and challenging. Fantastic outing by Naughty Dog. God of War 3 is God of War. What else can I say? Great game. Now, for my favorite.

Heavy Rain is the biggest surprise. I knew what I was getting into when I bought the game, but it surprised me how well the gameplay was. It also keeps me on the edge of my seat. I also like how many ways a certain scene can change. I did the part of the game when you go into the store to ask the clerk questions, then the robber comes in. The first time it happened, the clerk was shot, but the second time I did it, I knocked the robber out. So many ways to do a scene. I played for three hours, and I can't wait to play more.

InFamous is also a huge surprise. I played the demo and I didn't like it too much. It's probably because I played it at a friend's house, but it's great. It's funny how Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog, and Insomniac made great adult video games for the same system. It's a great superhero open world game. I love karma systems in games, but I think InFamous takes the cake with decisions. I love how the one cut scene changed because I was a bad guy and how he zapped a bystander. Another great PS3 exclusive.

Demon's Souls, Demon's Souls, Demon's Souls. I said Heavy Rain was the biggest surprise, but I think I lied. Demon's Souls has become the game I love the most on PS3. Dare I say, the best game I played on PS3, actually it may be the best from 2009 along with AC2 and Batman AA. It's BRUTAL. I mean, it's BRUTAL. When you beat the first boss and you cheer, you know it's going to be a rough behind game. I beat four bosses so far and I've had trouble with three of them. I met another boss and I can't even beat him. Though it's hard, it's fun to play. It's fun to die and try something new the next time. Trial and error has never been so fun. Demon's Souls is one of those special action American sytle RPGs that I really get into. I have 13 hours in Demon's Souls so far and it doesn't look like that number is going to stop.

Overall, my two week PS3 experience has been FANTASTIC. I still want to play Uncharted 2 really bad and Trinity Universe, but other than that, I'm completely satisfied. The PS3 is ruling my life right now.

THE CELTIC WARRIOR!!

First off, damn Smackdown and their decision to take the World Title from Swagger and NOT put it on CM Punk. Damn them for putting it on that stupid Rey Mysterio. Damn Smackdown.
Raw, on the other hand, should get exalted!! They let Sheamus, who was a nobody last October. win his 2nd WWE Title! I didn't think they would do it but WWE definitely had the balls to do it. WOW. Sheamus is running Raw again and Miz is running the midcard. Lovin' Raw!

Monday, June 14, 2010

AAAWWWWEEEEESSSSOOOOOOMMMMMEEEE!

I Came To Play! Miz is the US Champion again. That's where he belongs until the WWE is ready to put the WWE Title on him. With that title win, you know it's not going to happen for a while. After what happened on Raw, I'm preparing myself for a Cena victory. It sucks, but Cena/Barrett is going to happen. Sucks but I'm ready for Cena's music to blare after the match. I still have hope for a CM Punk victory, which could lead to a feud with Christian during the summer, but with Kane going after his brother's attacker, I think Kane/Swagger is going to be SD's summer feud. (sigh) CM Punk could make another great feud for SD, but they aren't going to do it are they? If Sheamus wins, here's how it happens. Orton's going to for a RKO on Cena. He's about to hit, when Cena pushes him away into a spear by Edge. Edge then gets hit with an AA then out of nowhere Sheamus hits Cena with the Sheamus Kick. 1,2,3 Sheamus wins another WWE Title, which leads to Sheamus/Cena with everyone saying Cena has never beaten him, Sheamus wins again, Triple H comes back, beats up Sheamus, faces him at SS. Sheamus wins AGAIN, they face at Night of Champions, Sheamus wins, then finally loses at HIAC. A nice 4 month reign for Sheamus. Once again, my alternate WWE world.

WHAT THE F##K Microsoft? Kinect this, Kinect that, where were the hardcore games? Seriously? The games that were for hardcore gamers were the same old stuff. Kinect looks amazing, but where were the hardcore titles for it? Man, with rumors of the new Zelda being unveiled at Nintendo's press conference, Microsoft had to do something big, but of course, they dropped the ball. The new 360 announcement was a shocker though. I was hoping for a ME3 reveal at the conference but we didn't get it. All eyes on Nintendo now. Will the new Wii Zelda appear?

What the hell WWE?

Alright, so WWE Fatal 4 Way is, what, a week away right? How is there only two matches confirmed right now? Where is Truth and Kingston on this event? Is The Hart Dynasty facing The Usos? What the hell man? Whatever, F4W probably won't be a good day for my favorite wrestlers. With Cena getting attacked by those damn rookies and with Swagger being the underdog in his match, I expect both of them to walk out as champion. But, in my alternate WWE universe where HBK beat The Undertaker at WM25, I would love to see Sheamus and Punk win. We can all see that the Cena/Barrett feud is inevitable, but do they have to feud for the title? I'm all for another young superstar being pushed on the show, but where's The Miz's MUCH deserved main event push? He's been the best heel on Raw since Orton turned face. Come on now. If Sheamus doesn't win it, Orton should, so he could feud with Sheamus, Miz, and Edge, while Cena teaches Barrett some respect. Right now, unfortunately, it's probably better to keep Cena as champion in the long run though. Most of the top guys are heel so I can't really blame WWE if they do decide to let Cena keep the belt. There's WAY too many contenders on Raw.

CM Punk HAS to win the World Title if SD wants to survive. I used to like Swagger, when he was doing push-ups, acting crazy, and saying he's was the 2 time 2 time all American American Jack Swagger. Now, he's become a serious heel champion that isn't needed. If WWE wanted that, they should've kept Jericho as champ. Anyway, now that Punk is bald, they need to give him the title to make up for that. Also, he could feud Christian and that could be the SD summer feud, since Taker is injured. Punk/Hardy was one of the best feuds of last year, so why not give Punk another crack at the main event? This could also be a good way to propel Christian to the main event, then have him feud with McIntyre or Taker when he returns. Actually, SD needs some star power immediately. Send them back Jericho and Morrison. Raw could do without them. Christian/Jericho, Christian/Morrison, and Morrison/Punk would ALL be great for the TLC match in December. Time will tell though. This is what I want to see at SummerSlam: Sheamus VS Triple H for the WWE Title, Cena VS Barrett, and CM Punk VS Christian.

Enough about wrestling. I've been gaming less as of lately, with this move and all. I heard Arc Rise Fantasia got pushed back, what a drag. It works out for me though because I got less work actually and I don't think I would have had the money for it. July 20th is a payday for me and I can't wait to play that game. Anyway, any day now I'll be getting a PS3. I got 250 bucks saved up that I plan on using to finance it. I probably won't use the WHOLE 250, that's insane. Just 150 of it. I want Demon's Souls (it's 30 BUCKS for a little while) 3D Dot Heroes, White Knight Chronicles, Infamous, and Uncharted, but I have to narrow that list down. Demon's Souls is a definite. WKC, I've heard mixed things about, so I'm on the ropes, but I've wanted to play the game since they announced it. I also want to get some PSN points or whatever they're called to get some classics games and some other stuff. Well, I don't have the PS3 yet, so we'll see what happens.

ANOTHER HORRIBLE 3 HOUR RAW!!!

That's becoming the standard nowadays. I knew the viewer's choice Raw was too good to be true. I'm glad to see CM Punk face Cena, but there wasn't a clear winner because of the shocking but stupid ending to NXT. Let me say this first off, I like some of the NXT rookies. Wade, Justin, and David, that's it. Wade reeks of bad assness, but his finisher, a GOD DAMN JOKE. Justin could be a good mid carder and David is main event bound. When Wade came out, I was thinking Edge ala New Year's Revolution 2006. I was getting excited, seeing WWE pull off something innovative again, but then more rookies came out. I was getting anxious now, thinking, CM Punk recruited more for his SES. Then, they attacked the SES, Justin Roberts, The King, and Cena. Now, I'm confused. Why the hell would they do this two weeks before this Fatal 4 Way PPV? Cena's definitely going to win now. He's going to overcome the odds of a 8-on-1 beatdown and retain the title, then feud with Wade. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat him up again AFTER he wins the Fatal 4 Way and Wade wins the title from Cena there. Cena has a bad history with defending his title after big matches, but twice in one year would be overkill. Whatever they do, don't do a NXT invasion. First of all, they only have 8 guys. Cena, Orton, Edge, Sheamus, Morrison, Jericho, The Miz, and R-Truth. If those 8 banded together, the rookies wouldn't stand a chance. So, maybe this is all to push Wade because like I said before, only Wade, Justin, and David have a future in WWE. Ah, WWE. If you do one more HORRIBLE 3 hour special, I swear

What a sequel!

I just got done playing Mass Effect 2. Yeah, like 5 or 10 minutes ago. It was what a sequel should be. It had more gunplay than the first one, it was longer, and overall, just a better experience. Thankfully, me and my whole crew survived. To tell you the truth, I don't know how I did it, but I did. More than my team members, I was worried about my character. I heard a lot of things about your Shepard and how he could die at the end of ME2. I think BioWare did a fantastic job with that. Well, at least I'll get to carry my character over to ME3, whenever it comes out. Speaking of which, I hope there's an announcement or so kind of teaser trailer at E3. It's suppose to come out next year right, so an announcement at seems obvious. Hopefully, it'll be a summer release. Anyway, Mass Effect 2 is definitely one of the best games of 2010. It will probably be 360 game of the year, hell, even though with critically acclaimed games like God of War 3, FF13, Red Dead Redemption, and Super Mario Galaxy 2, I really believe ME2 has a chance to be GOTY. It's easily my favorite 360 series and favorite game on the console. Much better than Dragon Age.

With June coming, ME's clone Alpha Protocol releases the first day of the month. I got a reserve on it and I can't wait. I might take the day off, I haven't decided yet. It should be a good game. I haven't done too much research on it, but that's how I do with all of my games. After that, 3 weeks later, Arc Rise Fantasia finally releases, starting this JRPG overload coming to the Wii. I've seen some gameplay of the game, and it looks traditional, just with back voice acting. It's 39.99 so I'll definitely pick it up. After that, there's nothing really on the horizon, except CRACKDOWN 2! That's a first dayer for me. I absolutely LOVED the first one. And it releases a day after I get paid? Yeah, I'm getting it first day. Dead Rising 2 supposedly comes out the last day of August and that's a major gap. In the summer months, I'll be finally buying Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption. Maybe. Possibly. Oh, I forgot about Dragon Quest IX on July 11. They say the summer is usually a drought for video games. Not this summer. You start it off with Alpha Protocol, pinch hit with Crackdown 2, and hit a Grand Slam with Dead Rising 2. Should be a good summer!

My Marvel VS Capcom 3 Dream Roster

Well, as everyone in the world knows, Capcom announced MVC3, the long awaited sequel to one of the most popular fighting games of all time. So far, 10 characters have been announced. (two including Deadpool and DANTE!!!!) Here are some other Capcom and Marvel characters I would love to see in the game.
For Marvel, Spider-Man, (of course) Cyclops, Venom, Carnage, Daredevil, Thor, Gambit, Juggernaut, Magneto, She-Hulk, and Psylocke.
For Capcom, CHUN-LI, (why has Morrigan and Felicia been confirmed but not the first lady of fighting?) Samanosuke, (Soki was nice in TvC, but let's get the real star of the series) Ken, (come on) Mega Man Original or Mega Man X, (not Voluntt, not the gay computer one, X OR THE ORIGINAL) Ryu from BOF, (this could be a great way to revive the series) Frank West AND Chuck Greene, (Yes, we need both of these zombie experts) Jill Valentine, (she was in 2, mine as well be in 3 along with her man Chris) a Final Fight character (I don't know which one, but I'm more leaning towards Guy or Cody since they were in SSFIV) PHOENIX WRIGHT (NO OBJECTIONS to this character. I heard he was suppose to be in TvC, so now is the time to introduce him to a new audience. I wonder though, since MvC is being designed for the 360 and PS3, Wright would be allowed to be in the game right? There's no contract with Nintendo right? Whatever. Phoenix Wright for MvC3!) Regina from Dino Crisis (I love Regina. One of first survival horror games I ever played and one of the first characters I felt for. I would love to see a reboot of the series, which could start with an appearance in MvC3.) Gene from GodHand (He was awesome. MvC3 please!) and Arthur from Ghouls N Goblins, Maximo, and Viewtiful Joe. Of course, this is my dream roster. They said that only 30 characters would be in this game, but I hope they increase it to 45 to 50. We'll see what happens, since the game is a whole year away.
