Main Event for Night of Champions set

Raw was pretty good tonight. The first big announcement was that Kevin Nash will return to action and indeed face CM Punk at Night of Champions. We all saw it coming but I don't think it's going to be a pretty match-up at all. Anyway, good opening promo for Raw and at least Punk is still getting a lot of face time even though he isn't the WWE Champion.

Raw had like 6 matches tonight as it was a Super Raw. Triple H announced earlier that Smackdown superstars will now be appearing on Raw, which I'm guess will effectively end this brand split. RIP brand split. Anyway, thanks to that, we got a FANTASTIC match to kick off the show in Ziggler/Orton. The in ring chemistry between the two is crazy and I could watch Ziggler/Orton fight at 4 straight PPVs and LOVE every match. Orton gets the win with a botched RKO but darn it was a good performance from Dolph. A legitimate World Title reign is coming for him, bank on it.

Miz/Punk have a good match, despite the DQ finish, AirBoom is born and the tag division will soon be reborn, Sin Cara does a Swanton AND a Lionsault, we get a typical Divas match, unfortunately, and Sheamus and Cena team up for the first time! I'm pretty upset that Del Rio wasn't even MENTIONED on this super edition of Raw, seeing how he is dang WWE Champion and all, but I read he had to renew his work visa, so that comes first. Oh well, at least we'll see him on Smackdown.

Anyway, let me cut to the chase. After Cena and Sheamus get the win, Triple H announces that Punk's match with Nash is scrapped (THANK GOD) and that Punk will now face Triple H at Night of Champions! The match that I thought would headline Survivor Series will now happen in 3 weeks at Night of Champions. This is the REAL match I want to see and it's definitely going to be the main event of the show. No offense to Del Rio/Cena but this is the feud that's dominating Raw right now. Just like last year with Nexus/Cena and Sheamus/Orton. Those two feuds will go on and eventually combine into just one feud. Well, I can't wait to see it and I really think it's a dream match. Will Punk beat Triple H? Will Nash get involved? Will we see a new NWO form? Who knows? I just can't wait for this main event at Night of Champions.

Well, Super Smackdown is tomorrow night, unfortunately I won't have a post until Wednesday morning since I work late Tuesday night and probably watch it then go to sleep. I'm not even going to look the results up, I'm going to watch it like it's live. I hope everyone watches it tomorrow so they can do this weekly.

Triple Threat at NOC?

So on Smackdown this week. Sheamus is going to defeat Mark Henry by countout. Henry is the #1 contender for Orton's title so will they add Sheamus to the match? They mind as well. I really don't want to see Orton/Henry on PPV even though Henry/Sheamus had a good match at SummerSlam. Whatever they do, I just hope Orton loses. Henry deserves 1 title run before he leaves the company. For Christ sakes, he took out Big Show and Kane, what else does he have to do to get a title reign? I've been waiting for another Sheamus title reign since he came to Smackdown, so I don't have a problem with him winning.

We're getting Orton/Christian VI on the live Smackdown next week but this time in a steel cage. This will be their feud ender and I'm looking forward to seeing how this whole Christian/Orton saga ends. We're also getting Del Rio VS Sin Cara. They're doing that thing again where they keep shoving Del Rio down our throats by having him on both shows. I don't have a problem with it seeing how he is the WWE Champion and all, but I think they're rushing this Del Rio/Cara match. I mean, I know Del Rio is probably the guy who will bring out the best in Sin Cara but they could've made a lot of money on this match had they waited. Oh well, I'm really looking forward to this match next Tuesday.

I'm glad that they're still somewhat teasing an Orton/Rhodes feud. Orton faces DiBiase and of course beats him but afterward, Rhodes beats up DiBiase, which I guess stops their partnership. DiBiase/Rhodes is coming early huh? Can't wait for it. And after that, Rhodes/Orton. Bank on it. Rhodes is will become what The Miz is to Raw. Oh yeah, and it's good to see Smackdown's MITB winner lose AGAIN. He's lost 3 straight now. I guess they're trying to steer people away from the obvious. People will see him keep losing and think there is no possible way for him to become World Champion and WWE will then make him the champ. Anyway, looking forward to see the Christian/Bryan match on Friday.

Alright, Night of Champions is a little more than three weeks away. I think I'll start doing my predictions for matches now.

Del Rio/Cena - I wouldn't be surprised if they threw Punk in there though.

Orton/Henry/Sheamus

Rhodes/DiBiase - after this Friday's actions

Ziggler/Swagger or Riley? - Something with those three

Kelly Kelly/Beth Phoenix

Bourne/Kingston VS Miz/Truth - Let's go tag division!

Not a bad card. I hope I'm wrong for the US Title match though. I rather see Morrison/Ziggler, but that doesn't look likely right now. Everything else seems pretty good. Tag match has HUGE potential if they do it right, same with the World Title match. Del Rio has had good matches with Christian, Edge, and Mysterio so I know him and Cena will have a good match. If Punk's in it, it will be even better.

Well, that's it for my Smackdown post. Uh, the top 10 list post has been delayed until I beat El Shaddai. God I love that game! If something big happens in the wrestling world, I'll blog about it. Or video games. Or iCarly. See you soon.

Cena/Del Rio is coming!

I think I'm the only person in the world who is excited for the upcoming Del Rio/Cena feud. I was the same way for the Miz/Cena feud. After pushing back their SummerSlam confrontation, Cena defeated CM Punk (with a little help from Kevin Nash) to become the #1 contender for the WWE Title. So, as it stands, Alberto Del Rio will defend the WWE Championship against John Cena at Night of Champions on September 18th. Nice! I'm really looking forward to the match but maybe I'm just crazy? I don't know, is there anyone else looking forward to see if Del Rio can make Cena tap out? Anyway, what was up with Johnny Ace lying to Triple H about Nash? What the heck is WWE planning with that storyline?

That's not even the big news coming out of Monday Night Raw. In my opinion, the BIG story coming out of Raw is the fact that we have NEW WWE Tag Team Champions in Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne! Yes, Evan Bourne has FINALLY won some gold in the WWE. I mean, it's the lowest form of gold, but it's a championship regardless. Not only that, but Truth/Miz steal the show with a crazy awesome (see what I did there) promo. It was funny and truthful and I can't wait to see what happens next. Will they go after Triple H and the whole conspiracy with the WWE Championship? Or will they go straight for the tag titles? Either way, WWE has shown that they are serious with this whole rebuilding the tag division position and I'm liking where they're going with it. Why not rebuild the division with guys like Miz and Truth while Punk/Cena/Del Rio have the spotlight? It's a smart move. I'm all for it. Can't wait to see what other tag teams WWE will come up with. Will Christian be in one of them?

Overall, good Raw and I can't wait to see what happens with this tag team division. If the Kings of Wrestling are indeed coming to WWE, they better have some tag teams to face. Also, they still haven't said who sent the text to Nash to screw Punk, so the plot continues to thicken. Hope we get an answer at NOC.

So I recently bought El Shaddai and WOW, this has been the best gaming summer ever. Another great game. The combat is fun, the weapons are FANTASTIC. I'm in love with the Veil. I'm always a sucker for fist weapons or hand to hand combat. Anyway, and the game is GORGEOUS. If this game was a woman, it would be Jennette McCurdy. It's such a pleasure to look at this game. I don't think I've EVER said that about a video game. The story is pretty deep as well but it's pretty confusing as well. Everything about the game is fantastic and it's easily my 2nd favorite game of the summer. I'm glad I didn't do that list of top 10 games I played this year because I would've done a serious injustice by not including this gem. I'll do the list after I beat El Shaddai.

Well, that's it for my normal Monday night blog post. Thanks for reading and I'll see you late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning for the Smackdown talk. We're getting Sheamus/Henry this week. My guess, Sheamus beats Henry, and then we get a Triple Threat for Night of Champions. Could Sheamus finally win another World Title? He's gotta beat the World's Strongest Man first.

Orton/Henry coming?

On Smackdown this week. Mark Henry is going to win a #1 contender battle royal. It's about darn time. Now it makes sense why Christian lost. Even though I'm happy for Henry, I'm really happy for Rhodes. Apparently, there is going to be a Rhodes/Orton promo at the start of Smackdown. I'm more looking forward to that than Henry winning to be honest. Could we finally get a Rhodes/Orton feud? I don't think WWE is going to wait 5 weeks for the Orton/Henry showdown, so there's still hope for others on Smackdown. And we can't forget about Sheamus. He already said that his feud with Henry isn't over so we won't see Orton/Henry at Night of Champions. Maybe a Triple Threat? Or a Fatal Four Way with Christian? Who knows, it's way too far to predict right now. I'm just happy that Rhodes will finally be doing something with Orton. Could we see a Champion VS Champion match at Night of Champions? What a better match to have than a Champion VS Champion at a PPV all about champions? Make it happen WWE!

What do you guys think? Would you rather see Orton defend in a Fatal Four Way against Henry, Christian and Sheamus? Or would you rather see a Champion VS Champion match? Or do you have another title match in mind? Does Barrett deserve a title match since he defeated a future World Champion? You would get major points in my book if you said that one. Would you rather see Orton/Henry on PPV? Let me know in the comments. Well, that's it for right now. I'm off to work.

Just the start of things to come

Well, on Raw this past Monday, it looked like Del Rio's next challenger will be John Cena. Don't know how that would be possible since he lost at SummerSlam but whatever. After the whole CM Punk situation and how Del Rio took the backseat at SummerSlam, I knew that Del Rio/Cena was going to be Raw's fall feud. I'm looking forward to the series of matches that Del Rio/Cena will have. Definitely going to be an interesting feud. So someone sent Nash a text saying take out whoever the WWE Champion was after the main event. Who could that have been? Was it Del Rio or Ricardo? Would make sense to help Del Rio finally rise to the top of the mountain. Was it Triple H or Stephanie? Punk HAS said some really rash things about them. Was it Vince? CM Punk is the reason Vince doesn't run the day to day operations anymore. Was it the Anonymous Raw GM? He hasn't maid an appearance in some time. Raw didn't answer many questions, it just presented so many more. Does Triple H know something about what happened? Is Stephanie involved? Is Cena involved? What will Punk do? Will we get Orton/Christian VI? Or wait, that's another conversation topic. Well time will definitely tell. Can't wait for the Raws to come.

Man, Del Rio has really dominated WWE this year hasn't he. He won the 2011 Royal Rumble but that was a given after Punk was eliminated. He won MITB and eventually won the WWE Title! Great year right? Sure, but he did lose at WrestleMania in the FIRST match. How do you get the first match at WM and it's for the World Title? Shenanigans. Anyway, he lost at Extreme Rules and didn't have a PPV match until MITB. He certainly won at the big events this year, except WM where it really counted, but Del Rio is having a fantastic 2011. He might definitely be #1 on my list when I do Superstar of the Year in December. Really happy for the kid.

What could be Raw's main event for Night of Champions? I know the show is like a whole month away, but early bird gets the worm. They mind as well do the 6-Pack Challenge again. Del Rio defends against Punk, Cena, Mysterio, Miz, and somebody else. Or a Scramble. Just as long as Miz is featured in the match. The guy deserves to be in a top feud after beating Cena at Mania. Just saying. Well, I'm not making the prediction right now, but I think the Scramble or the 6-Pack Challenge is the way to go. No way Del Rio/Cena get the 1-on-1 match when Punk still hasn't gotten his rematch.

Orton is champion again and it's probably for the best. Will Christian beg for another shot or will Smackdown follow Raw and finally have a different contender for the title? Does Barrett get the shot he deserves? The man beat a future World Champion in Daniel Bryan in a fantastic match. Come on WWE, let Barrett get a shot! Guess we'll find out if Orton/Christian will continue this feud tomorrow night.

Two good WWE PPVs?

Another good WWE PPV. I'm shocked. I've gotten my money's worth TWO TIMES in a row? Can WWE do it a third time with Night of Champions? After tonight, I KNOW they can.

I DEFINITELY CALLED THIS MATCH! Go back into my blog posts and you will see! I knew Miz/Truth and Mysterio/Morrison were going to be in the match and I said it was either between Ziggler/Riley and Del Rio/Kingston so either way you look at it, I WAS RIGHT! This was a good match to open up the PPV. All the main mid card feuds in one match is a genius idea, hence why I called it. It was a standard tag match but it was definitely a smart idea on WWE's part. The faces get the win to get the crowd happy for the night ahead and to give Mysterio momentum for his title match in Raw, but it was a pretty solid show starter.

Sheamus/Henry actually had a good fight. I didn't think this match had much of a chance, but they proved me wrong. Back and forth action and neither guy was really hurt by the ending. The spot with the barricade was nice though and I loved seeing the security guard RUN for his life when he saw Henry/Sheamus coming at him. So Henry wins by count-out, continuing his path of destruction, but he doesn't beat Sheamus cleanly, so like I said, neither guy is hurt. Not a bad match!

Did I just see an OK Divas match? I think I did! Kelly Kelly and Beth put it down at SummerSlam! It wasn't the best Divas match, but it was much better than most of the crap they usually put on. Kelly beats Beth with a roll-up so I'm guessing we will be getting a rematch on Raw or something.

This is where the PPV started to spice up. Barrett/Bryan WENT IN on this match. A lot of nice sequences in the match and some nice looking moves. I loved the backbreaker Barrett did off the ropes. Bryan hit some rough moves on Barrett too, like his regular running knee off the apron and his dropkick. Great match and Barrett beats Bryan! Can the man get a World Title shot NOW? He basically defeated the future World Champion if you look at the MITB history right? Anyway, I knew that if they gave this match time, it would be amazing. Barrett/Bryan II with Bryan's briefcase on the line. Make it happen.

Well, the Orton/Christian V match was great and definitely match of the night. Nice amount of spots and there was actually some blood in it as well. Also, THE TABLE BROKE when Orton did the RKO on it! It had to be a good match. The power slam into the table was great as well. Anyway, Christian makes the same mistake he did in Orton/Christian I, but this time, he gets the RKO on the steel steps! Orton wins World Title #9 and guess what everyone? We'll probably gets Orton/Christian VI at Night of Champions! Well, if it's anything like their last match, I'm all for it, but that's highly unlikely. Maybe Henry or Barrett get title matches after their victories tonight. Especially Barrett.

Punk/Cena main event again, no surprise. Have another good match, no surprise. Have a lot of good reversal sequences, no surprise. The ending of the match? Surprise. Punk hits a botched GTS, pins Cena, Cena puts foot on rope, Triple H counts the 3, PUNK WINS AGAIN! And Triple H didn't reverse the decision! Thank God Mike Chioda didn't ref. Anyway, here's where I'm thinking Punk is about to get screwed by Triple H and then Del Rio will FINALLY win the WWE Title. Triple H raises Punk's hand and then leaves the arena. What? That's it? Nope! Here comes KEVIN NASH OUT OF NOWHERE! I already knew what comes next. Unfortunately, he didn't come out to the music, but he hits Punk with his kick and FINALLY WINS THE WWE TITLE! I've been waiting for a Del Rio World Title reign since freaking DECEMBER so even though I'm a huge Punk fan, I marked the heck out. Del Rio, while many may not believe it, deserved to walk out as champion. This storyline just got so much better. Why did Kevin Nash screw Punk? What's Stephanie's involvement in all this? Did Triple H know? Did Cena know? Do either one get a rematch? Will Del Rio get a new title belt? All these answers and more, in the coming weeks on Raw. Or not, they never explained why Barrett and Nexus attacked The Undertaker back at Survivor Series, but whatever.

So, another MITB winner cashes in and wins the title. Congrats to Alberto Del Rio for finally winning the big one. Here's pulling for Daniel Bryan! Great SummerSlam PPV, WWE improved from last year's card and they definitely opened it up for this whole Punk/Cena storyline. At least we won't get Punk/Cena III on PPV. Smackdown should REALLY take some notes.

Thanks for reading, thanks for following on Twitter, thanks for everything everybody. Come back Monday night for my Raw reaction post.

SummerSlam predictions

SummerSlam is tomorrow night ladies and gentlemen! Are you ready? Before I get into my predictions for the biggest party of the summer, I'm going to do a couple reviews of various things I've watched today. Oh yeah, SPOILERS!!!!!!!

Well, I went out to the movies today and saw two pretty darn good films. The first one I saw was Final Destination 5, which is the 5th entry in the Final Destination franchise. Was it better than the crappy 4th one? You better believe it. I love the entire FD series, with 2 being my favorite. I even love 4 for the pool death even though the movie as a whole sucked. What did Final Destination 5 do different than 4? Nothing really. It's still the same storyline. Person goes out, has premonition about crazy accident, saves people from accident, Death kills them off one by one, group cheats Death, and Death wins in the ends. It's not the storyline that makes the movie good, it's how it's handled. This film was much more serious than 4 and had some of the best deaths in the franchise's history. SPOILER ALERT: When Candice flipped off the bar and broke her spine, I cringed in my seat. It was AMAZING to see. I also liked the premonition death of Sam and of course the wrench going through Dennis' head. While the movie was good and the deaths were gruesome, it falls short compared to the ending. What a twist it was to see Sam and Molly get on the plane, only to see the Alex from the 1st Final Destination is getting off and to find out that the movie takes place BEFORE all the movies in the franchise. Fantastic ending. I think I may of found a new favorite. I can't wait to see what they do with 6 and 7.

The 2nd film I watched was 30 Minutes or Less. 30MOL was hilarious! Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari are a great comedy duo. Most of the laughs came from those two. I don't want to take anything away from Danny McBride and Nick Swardson because they were funny too, but I just thought the Jesse/Aziz partnership was funnier. My favorite part is when they are actually robbing the bank and Aziz's character proclaimed that he wasn't friends with the bank teller anymore because she wasn't honest with him. The way he delivers his lines always makes me laugh. I also liked the part right afterward when the cop has them trapped and then Eisenberg's character shows he has a bomb and the cop, a black man, screams and runs for the hills. It was freaking hilarious. I wasn't a big fan of the abrupt ending but the movie was a great mix of comedy and action and actually exceeded my expectations. Great movie thanks to the great cast. Very funny but just a very rushed ending.

iLost My Mind FINALLY aired tonight and it was amazing! There is SO MUCH more innuendo in these episodes and I LOVE it. It's like while the show is MADE for younger people, they put stuff in the show for other people to enjoy. Like when Gibby came out at the end of the show and Freddie told him they weren't ready yet, what did he say? He started to unloosen his belt and said, I'm going back to the men's room. What the heck is he going to do in said men's room? Makes you wonder. Anyway, so Freddie is interested in Sam. We got that out of the way. Now, does it last? Guess we'll have to wait until September to find out. Why is Carly so mad at Sam and Freddie? Gotta wait until iDate Sam and Freddie. Great episode and while it was a LONG and HARD wait, it was definitely worth it. Until September...

And now, SummerSlam predictions!

Opening match? I'll go with Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett. Here's a match with some HUGE potential if they just give it enough time. I like both guys and I want both to win, but I gotta go with Mr. Money in the Bank on this one. He's got a lot of momentum coming out of the MITB PPV, so he basically needs this victory. Heck, he might be the World Champion by the end of the night. :)

Kelly Kelly VS Beth. I'm cheering for Beth because she's the heel and because I like Heel Beth Phoenix. Phoenix with the victory.

Sheamus and Mark Henry are going to destroy each other. Sheamus needs this victory to help his recent face turn, Henry needs the victory to prove he's a dominant force on Smackdown. Who gets the victory? I'm going with my boy Sheamus to get the job done. I don't think it's going to be a show stealer, but hopefully something good.

Orton/Christian V. I've expressed my dislike with the feud time and time again. I think this is going to be a really good match though. Orton/Christian really need to go all out and make this a fantastic feud ender. How does it end? I'm not really sure. I think Christian beats Orton, but I think Daniel Bryan will come down and cash in. It's the obvious time to do it so that's probably why it won't happen right? Well, I'm going with Christian to defeat Randy Orton at SummerSlam. Somehow, some way.

And the match this PPV was made for. John Cena VS CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Title. First and foremost, can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a new WWE Championship belt? Once again, thanks Triple H. Anyway, this match SHOULD get the most time because it's the match this whole dang event is centered around. Will it be as good as the MITB match? Probably not, but it should still be a great match. How does the biggest match in recent WWE history go down though? With Triple H as the ref, there are many possible endings. One sees Punk beating Cena, only to have Triple H screw him over and have Del Rio win the WWE Championship. Another sees Triple H screwing Cena and starting a Punk/HHH partnership. Or the one EVERYONE wants to really see. Triple H and Cena screw over CM Punk and we finally get a heel Cena! Which scenario do I see happening? I see them all really happening, but I want to see Heel Cena the most. I'm going to pick Punk winning and then Triple H screwing him for safety, but let it be known that I predicted heel Cena if it does happen.

Well, that was my mega post for the week. Hope I covered all my bases. Oh wait! El Shaddai is comes out Tuesday! There we go. Come on back late Sunday night for my SummerSlam reaction post! Oh, and I realized that iCarly and WWE right now are really alike. Just like this whole Sam/Freddie storyline, the Punk/Cena storyline is eventually going to end and then things will go back to normal. Sure, both are getting critical acclaim but that's all they're focusing on. They're putting all the hard work into fleshing out these storylines. Anyway, iOMG is to MITB as iLost My Mind is to SummerSlam. What do I mean by that? Even I don't know, but it makes sense. After Survivor Series and after iLove You, things will go back to normal for both. Just a thought before I head to sleep.

Still only 4 matches...

Well, there was no SummerSlam matches announced this week on Smackdown. Not announced to the live audience anyway. So we still only have 4 matches and they wasted three potential SummerSlam matches on their shows this week in Truth/Morrison, Riley/Ziggler, and Jackson/Rhodes. Speaking of Rhodes, Cody Rhodes defeated Ezekiel Jackson to become the NEW IC Champion! Now that's some exciting news! Rhodes can now make the division greater. Can you imagine the potential of a Rhodes/Gabriel feud and the inevitable DiBiase/Rhodes feud? That will definitely help Smackdown. What's next Jackson? Maybe he'll feud with Mark Henry next? Or turn heel and feud with Sheamus? Who knows, I'm just happy that my boy Rhodes FINALLY won a singles championship. The rest of Smackdown is nothing compared to that news IMO. Orton VS Khali? Yawn. Sheamus VS Christian with Christian not even wrestling? Stupid. Bryan VS Del Rio? Yes please. Should of been a SummerSlam match. Anyway, I have two reasons to watch Smackdown this week.

So, what other matches are they going to use for SummerSlam? Like I said, 3 of the potential matches on the card have already been done so what's left. Bryan/Barrett is all but confirmed. I hope the two get a lot of time as I heard that WWE is going to have less matches on the card but give each match more time. So now we're at 5, what's left? They should do a tag match between Miz/Truth VS Mysterio/Morrison to protect Mysterio and give all the top names on Raw some time. Or maybe a 6 Man or 8 Man Tag with Ziggler/Del Rio and Riley/Kingston. If they add those two matches, it would be a complete card. Time will tell. Once again, congrats to Young Master Rhodes on winning his first singles title in WWE. Big things are in his future.

Come back here Saturday night for SummerSlam predictions and my review of not only iLost My Mind, but it will be The Modern Marvel's first review of movies! I'm going to see Final Destination 5 and 30 Minutes or Less on Saturday so I'll review them as well. Unless something happens, see you people on Saturday.

Is Punk/Cena hurting Raw?

Last year around this time, WWE was doing something different. These 7 young guys were beating all the WWE employees to prove that they were a dominant force in WWE and to basically take over. While that feud got a lot of exposure, it didn't hurt Raw. WWE at least focused on Orton/Sheamus AND the Nexus/WWE feuds. This year on the other hand, is a COMPLETELY different story.

Punk/Cena/WWE is owning Raw. There's nothing else besides that feud. Yeah, they have a couple potential ones with Riley/Ziggler and Truth/Morrison but both matches were on Raw this week. What was stopping them from doing a tag team match and then announcing both single matches for the PPV? Instead, if they do happen at SummerSlam, they're rematches and we ALREADY have two title rematches. Come on, WWE! If this is the Triple H era, than I'm not really like it. Sure, Punk is finally getting the main event exposure he deserves, but guys like Miz, Mysterio, Truth, Morrison, and Ziggler are getting treated like crap. How do we only have 4 matches announced for the PPV when it's ON SUNDAY! Can someone please explain that to me?

Now that I'm done ranting about that, let's talk about Raw. Cena beat Swagger, Punk beat Del Rio, Kofi and Miz had a great match, and the whole last segment was amazing. Triple H has now appointed himself the ref in the Punk/Cena match which means a screwjob in about to happen, but who is the person who gets screwed?

Does WWE FINALLY turn Cena heel? Punk's new t-shirt is an instant hit and is flying off the racks, just like I predicted. The fans are pretty much behind him and it would certainly start a new era in WWE. Or does CM Punk gets screwed? Maybe Triple H counts the 1-2-3 for Punk in his match against Cena so that Cena doesn't look like the heel. Then, Triple hits Punk with a Pedigree, calls out Del Rio, and Del Rio FINALLY wins the WWE Championship? Which one would you rather see? Well, if Cena comes out with a new shirt at SummerSlam, he's not turning heel, but time will tell I guess.

SummerSlam is 6 days away and we only have 4 matches. They mind as well make a tag match between Truth/Miz VS Mysterio/Morrison. Mysterio's hurting right, so what better way to protect him then a tag match? Whatever they announce, they better do it quick. I know Punk/Cena and Orton/Christian are good feuds but they aren't going to sell the PPV for most people. MITB was alright for having 4 big matches, since most of the superstars were featured in the MITB matches, but they won't get away with it at SummerSlam. That's how I KNOW something big is going to happen in the main event. They're putting this much time into it so if there is no big payoff, fans are going to feel ripped off. Like last year, the Team WWE/Nexus match was good enough to forgive the fact that there was no big twist in the match. Well, I loved the match but I loved the Team Miz VS Team Morrison match from Survivor Series so I don''t know if you'll think my opinion matters. Anyway, SummerSlam this Sunday! Can't wait, even though they're killing me with the Punk/Cena overkill.

So to answer my own question, no, Punk/Cena isn't hurting Raw but it's not entirely helping it. Hurt and heal kind of thing.

iLost My Mind is this Saturday and I know I shouldn't be THIS excited. I've been waiting ALL summer for this darn episode so I'm going to enjoy it. Will I blog about it after it's over? Most likely. Can't WAIT to see what happens. Hopefully, we won't have to wait 4 more months for the next iCarly episode.

Now that I beat Catherine, I'm just playing through the story again, trying to get Catherine's true ending and playing Rapunzel to completion. I'm also challenging the Babel tower which is freaking impossible. I gave myself a headache playing that earlier. I got to 140 steps on the Altar and ended up falling off. The Altar has 150 steps FYI so imagine my anger when I fell down to my death. That game will easily provide me with entertainment until some big release in September. Solatorobo: Red the Hunter comes out at the end of September so I'll definitely be getting that. Money's kind of tight right now so I don't know if I'll be getting El Shaddai on release date. If I do, I'll have to trade in Shadows of the Damned, which was awesome, but I don't see myself playing through it again. I really want to get El Shaddai so that's probably the route I'll take.

Well, that's about it for me. SummerSlam predictions will probably come Saturday after iLost My Mind since that's when all the matches will be announced anyway. Of course, come on back last tomorrow night for my take on what happens on Smackdown this week. Here's hoping they announce some matches!

Catherine review

Well here it is. Let's go.

Catherine is unlike any game that has been released to date. And that's a very good thing. Catherine is a strong first HD experience from the people who brought us Persona and in my opinion, the best game to be released this year so far. Sorry, there will be spoilers.

Catherine's story centers around 32 year old Vincent, who has been dating his current girlfriend, Katherine with a K, for five years now. She's throwing out hints that it's time to settle down and Vincent isn't too thrilled about it. To make matters worse, Vincent goes to a bar for his regular night of drinking with his friends and ends up meeting the bewitching Catherine with a C, who he ends up taking back to his house. I won't say too much more, but the story is very satisfying. There are a couple twists and turns and a couple cutscenes that made me cringe just thinking what could happen next. Catherine's story is its strongest point.

The gameplay is fast and addicting. The game is split up into two different styles of play. During the evening, you'll be in the bar where you can talk to fellow bar patrons who all have their own problems, drink, answer text messages, replay previous levels, listen to music from Catherine and other Atlus games and play Rapunzel. Rapunzel is Catherine in arcade form but there isn't any time limit but you do have a limited number of moves. To be honest, it could've been its own XBLA or PSN game. There's a little story and if you play it right there's over 100 stages! You only get 3 tries every night but after you beat the main game, you get unlimited tries. That pretty much sums up the evening portions.

After Vincent falls asleep, he'll be put into a nightmare, where Catherine's main gameplay is displayed. Catherine is best described as a puzzle game. Basically, every night, Vincent has to climb a tower to his freedom. The beginning stages have 3 stages a night but as you get further into the game, that number becomes larger. As I said, you climb a tower to your freedom. You have to push and pull blocks to climb all while the tower is slowly falling apart. On some stages, you'll have something chasing you. It could be Katherine's hands, a baby, and a couple others. Overall though, the gameplay is pretty fun. It's fast and even on normal, the game isn't as hard as it's put out to be. On Easy and Normal difficulties, you're allowed to undo your last 9 moves and if you exploit the move correctly, it can make the game SO much easier. Hard difficulty doesn't have that. The game also ranks you on how quickly you move up the tower which adds more replay value to the perfectionists out there.

The game will last you 10-15 hours. It also has 8 different endings and a couple different gameplay modes. Colosseum Mode has you and a friend challenge the stages from the main storyline and Babel has you challenging four different towers that are randomized each time you play it. There's also no undo function in those so good luck. The requirements to unlock the Babel stages are a little deep though. To completely unlock the mode, you have to get Gold Awards on EVERY level in this game AKA you basically have to be perfect on all stages. I think that's a little demanding but it kind of makes sense. It's impossible to get EVERY ending in one playthrough so they make you go back and master the stages while getting new endings and preparing for the horror that is the Babel.

Overall, Catherine is the best game to be released this year. It's edgy, addictive, and different. The story mode is fantastic and the gameplay is just as good. Don't let this gem pass you by. Give Catherine a chance and I guarantee it will change how you think about video games and maybe even your life. It did for me.

Smackdown this week

Well, Sheamus/Henry has been announced for SummerSlam. No surprise here, let's just see if this Sheamus face turn is for the best. I could care less about this feud, but I can't wait until the Barrett/Sheamus match-up when it happens. They continue to tease a Bryan/Barrett match, which I hope they do. They have history and the SummerSlam card could certainly use a match like this. They also continue to tease a Rhodes/Zeke feud and they even give Ryder a shot at the title. Will Rhodes be IC Champion after SummerSlam? Let's hope so. I'm tired of Big Zeke right now and that's only because he doesn't do well as a face. Since Sheamus is now a face, why not turn Zeke back into a heel? Like I said before, make Jackson heel and he instantly becomes important on Smackdown again. Sheamus/Zeke anyone? Oh and kudos for Natalya turning heel. A Natalya/Phoenix partnership would DESTROY the women's division. Where's Kharma when you need her?

Is WWE tesing a new faction that will go against Triple H? Truth is on Smackdown for the 2nd time in two weeks and this time he's talking to Christian about the conspiricies behind Triple H's rise to power. Could we potentially see Truth/Miz/Christian all together trying to take down Triple H? Time will only tell. Christian gets the victory over Orton in the tag match, which makes it hard for me to believe that he is going to beat Orton at SummerSlam. I'm all for a Christian title reign, but I don't know if he'll be able to beat Orton AND stay champion if Bryan comes out. We'll see though.

So the SummerSlam card is becoming more fleshed out now. Here's our four announced matches:
Punk/Cena
Orton/Christian
Kelly/Phoenix
Sheamus/Henry
They still haven't announced the following matches, but here's hoping!
Truth/Morrison
Bryan/Barrett
Rhodes/Jackson
Ziggler/Riley
Del Rio, Miz, and Mysterio are all off this card right now. Miz/Mysterio should still happen with the winner becoming #1 contender for the title. Del Rio is Raw's hottest superstar but I don't see any possible match for him, except against Kingston, but didn't we already see that at Elimination Chamber this year?

Even without Del Rio, Miz, and Mysterio, if they do the other 4 unannounced matches, it's a pretty good SummerSlam card. The undercard is pretty solid, Orton/Christian should go all out for their final match against each other, and Punk/Cena will usher in a new era for the WWE. Mark my words, something will happen in that match that will shock us ALL. It has to. A new era begins August 14th.

Here we go again...

After tonight's Raw, we have some more SummerSlam matches, of course! First, Beth Phoenix won the Battle Royal and also went back to being heel by attacking Kelly Kelly. I guess this is WWE's way of appeasing Punk, giving his girlfriend a title match on the 2nd biggest show of the year. Here's hoping for a Beth Phoenix title reign. We all obviously know Truth/Morrison are going to have a match but they also planted the seeds for a Ziggler/Riley feud. I believe I called this match a while ago when I made my first initial SummerSlam card. It should be a good match and I guess that will be Riley's big break out if he wins. I don't know if I'm ready for a Riley reign, but if he does win, they would make two guys that Miz mentored that became US Champion, just saying. I'd be alright with a Riley victory if it meant Ziggler would feud with the WWE Champion right afterward. We'll see though. Del Rio will probably get into a match with Kingston or Bourne. Whatever, he'll be WWE Champion soon enough. Miz? I'm still hoping for the match with Triple H but it's more likely they'll do a rematch between Mysterio and Miz. Either match would be good. Also, I LOVE the Miz/Truth partnership.

Now, the main event. Unfortunately, no triple threat or fatal four way here. John Cena will face CM Punk again to see who is the undisputed WWE Champion. Am I excited for the match? Sure, because of the potential. This match could potentially usher in the next era in the WWE not to mention it should be another solid main event. Will it live up to the MITB match? Probably not because it won't be given that much time again. I'm more looking at the outcome of the match rather than match itself. Why? Because just like last year, WWE has a chance to turn John Cena as heel.

Remember SummerSlam last year? The 7 on 7 main event. Team Cena took on The Nexus and Cena needed a 7th member and that everyone thought that the real leader of the Nexus was going to be revealed? I really thought last year was going to be the year Cena turned heel but it never happened. We have the same situation again. WWE has a golden opportunity to turn Cena heel. It's time. Even Hogan had to turn heel eventually. I noticed during tonight's Raw that there was no clear heel or face between Cena/Punk. It can't be Punk. I understand he's messing with the boss, but he's just an anti-hero AKA what Austin did basically his whole career. It's not Cena because he's Mr. Goody Two Shoes. The fans are ready for a change and Cena turning heel is exactly that change we want. Most of the fans are already behind Punk and I'm willingly to bet that his new shirt is going to sell like hot cakes so it makes sense. Will it happen? Probably not, but that's just my opinion. Turn Cena heel and we'll definitely have a new era in WWE. The more and more I think of a Cena heel turn, the more I think HOW it can happen. It's going to have to involve Triple H and that would mess up the whole Truth/Miz conspiracy storyline. Who knows, but I rather see a Cena heel turn more than a Truth and Miz VS Triple H feud. What do you guys think? Does ushering in a new era revolve around Cena turning heel?

So at SummerSlam, the 2nd biggest event of the year, we're getting two World Title rematches! Does that make people want to buy the PPV more? I'm buying the event regardless because it's SummerSlam and Punk is in the main event, but what about to others who actually have cares for their money? Are you guys going to buy SummerSlam or wait for the potentially awesome and inevitable Punk/HHH match? Well, SummerSlam is 13 days and we only have 3 announced matches. Here's my revised card after tonight's Raw.
Cena/Punk
Orton/Christian V
Kelly/Phoenix
Truth/Morrison
Sheamus/Henry
Ziggler/Riley

Not a bad card but missing HUGE stars such as Miz, Mysterio, Del Rio, and Rhodes. Where are they going to fit in on this big event? Guess we'll have to wait until next week for the Raw guys. Please let us get Miz/HHH!

Oh and I beat Catherine on Saturday night so my review will be coming up. Spoiler alert, it's my game of the year and I've played LA Noire, Mortal Kombat, and a couple other GOTY candidates that I can't think of. Should be up Tuesday night, not sure yet. I got three endings, Good Lover, Bad Cheater, and Good Freedom. So, I got a couple more playthroughs to do. Oh, and I loved Victorious Locked Up! Very funny. iLost My Mind is SO close to airing and I know I shouldn't be this excited for it, but I don't care! Can't wait until the 2nd weekend of August!
