I see a Survivor Series team!

On Raw tonight, I saw what will probably be the opposing team to face The Rock and John Cena at this year's huge Survivor Series event. First off, Raw had a lot of potential with Cena VS Christian on the show, but of course, we get a DQ finish. Ryder gets a championship match, but he loses thanks to Vickie and Swagger. Zig-Swag is born! Then, we get a six man tag match featuring Air Boom and Ryder taking on Zig-Swag and the returning Mason Ryan. Ryan in the end though turns on Zig-Swag, randomly becoming face in the process. Is this a sign of things to come for the young powerhouse? Here's hoping. Anyway, Ryder pins Ziggler AGAIN, so I'm guessing we get another match between the two on Sunday. Will Ryder get his first REAL singles title in the WWE? Maybe we'll see this Sunday. Mark Henry beat up Great Khali. I was hoping for another table spot but did we? No. Stupid WWE. Rhodes was on Raw and successfully defended his IC Title against 9 other men. Christian may have helped, but a win is a win. Expect Rhodes to be featured in the World Title picture very soon.

In the main event, we got the two former WWE Champions in Del Rio and Punk. Del Rio lost not to a GTS, but to some kicks. Then, for whatever reason, the HIAC comes down and Punk and Cena beat up Ricardo. Punk tries to get the upper hand on Cena but then Del Rio just cleans house with a steel chair. Del Rio has the momentum for this Sunday's PPV, but will he walk out as champion? Well, with the way they're bouncing the title around, I wouldn't be surprised. If they do change the title around' he's hoping it will be for Punk.

Anyway, Raw was alright, I hate having a PPV only two weeks away from a previous one. We didn't get too much development in the HHH/Miz/Truth drama. HHH only said they got fired for attacking the referee, but I know there's something more to it. That brings me to my big point tonight. I saw what is an amazing heel Survivor Series team for Rock/Cena to take on. The co-captains would be Miz and Truth and they're partners would be Rhodes, Christian, and Ziggler. What a team that is! And it's good exposure for Rhodes and Ziggler. Competing against Rock and Cena at one of the biggest PPVs of the year? Now, who would be on Rock and Cena's team? I think Sheamus is a must for this team. He's really over with the crowd right now. I think if Orton's not involved in a title match, he should compete in this match and I think the COO himself needs to be on this team. Don't put any World Champions on this team as you'll screw yourself of a World Title main event. WWE Title match could be Del Rio VS Punk and the World Title match could be Henry VS Big Show or Kane or a Triple Threat of some sorts. Just, not World Champions on either show. Whatever happens, I think WWE is planting the seeds for Survivor Series. That Miz/Truth/Zig/Rhodes/Christian team just seems like a great team and it doesn't feature Del Rio, meaning he could be involved in the WWE Title picture with the Best in the World CM Punk. Rock/Cena/Sheamus are the only ones who I can really see being on this team. If Orton and HHH are on it, it's really just overkill. The heels wouldn't stand a chance. We'll see what happens though. SS is still a month away and we still have 2 PPVs to get through until then. By that time, I would have already played Zelda and Saints Row 3. Yay! Anyway, we get Orton/Christian XVII this week on Smackdown, don't miss that. Come on back this weekend for my Hell in A Cell predictions. Didn't I just do some predictions recently. Well, whatever, thanks for reading, continue to read, and God bless!

Miz and Truth FIRED?!?!

What a Monday Night Raw. Two of my favorite superstars were 'fired'. The reason, no one knows. Let's break down Raw.

The opening segment saw Hunter announce a first ever Triple Threat HIAC for the WWE Title between WWE Champion John Cena, Alberto Del Rio, and CM Punk. Sounds like the main event for sure. Punk then says that he believes there is someone out there who has something against him and Hunter and of course John Laurinaitis comes out and tries to fire Punk. That backfires and Triple H promises someone will be fired. The promo was alright and it set up a nice main event for HIAC, but we didn't get ANY answers to why Awesome Truth attacked BOTH men or anything. Anyway, good way to start off the show.

8 Man Tag match between Air Boom, Gabriel, and Sheamus facing Otunga, McGillicutty, Barrett, and Christian. Alright opening contest and in the end, Sheamus completely destroys Otunga to get the win for his team. You mind as well book Sheamus VS Christian at HIAC. Winner should get a title match at Vengeance.

Del Rio gets buried at NOC so he buries Morrison on Raw. What could've been a very competitive contest turned into an absolute squash. Remember when everyone billed Morrison as the next Shawn Michaels? That was a LONG time ago and now, it doesn't seem like he'll be a top star anytime soon. Guess you can thank good ole Melina for that.

Hugh Jackman challenges Ziggler to a match, kind of. He says he was going to find the biggest underdog backstage and have him defeat Ziggler. The crowd IMMEDIATELY started chanting for Ryder and Jackman even got a Ryder sign from the crowd. Jackman definitely had more charisma than other guest host in the past.

Hooray, we're treated with an appearance from the future World Champion, the current IC Champion, Cody Rhodes! His opponent Sin Cara. Just as the match was about to start, the other Sin Cara came down and they had a mini showdown. Book that match at HIAC as well.

JR interviews Henry and it's announced Orton will get his rematch at HIAC. In the end, Henry bullies JR which causes King to come to his aid. King gets beat up and put through the announce table by Henry. Sorry, it doesn't make you dominant by putting an announcer through a table. And where the hell were backstage help?

Divas match, Eve and Kelly defeat The Divas of Doom. They just can't seem to defeat the Barbie dolls.

In the biggest win of his career, Zack Ryder defeated Dolph Ziggler. With a pinfall over the the US Champion, he's definitely next in line for a title shot, just saying. Make it so WWE.

In a good tag team main event, CM Punk and John Cena defeated The Awesome Truth. Pretty good tag action. Anyway, afterwards, Triple H FIRES both Miz and Truth for unknown reasons. They had already apologized earlier in the night and fined BIG TIME, so why did he fire two of his best superstars? Guess we'll have to wait until next week to find out why. Good storyline development here though. I'm very interested to see what happens next in this whole Triple H saga.

Average Raw. They are definitely getting better with the cliffhanger endings. It makes me look forward to Raw each week. Anyway, I can't wait until next week to see why the two were fired. I expect some type of Awesome Truth VS Triple H and someone else match somewhere down the line. Come back Wednesday morning for the Smackdown post.

3 good WWE PPVs in a row?

WOW, WWE delivers with another PPV. What a great night of action. The main events delivered and the undercard was pretty solid. Let's break it down.

The tag title match opened the show up and was exactly what I expected, GOOD tag team wrestling. Both teams put on a great show and it was very entertaining to watch. In the end though, Air Boom retains thanks to bad officiating. I'm expecting Miz and Truth to complain on Raw tomorrow for a rematch and probably win then. Ending wasn't that bad to be honest and it made sense storyline wise. I can tell the WWE has big plans for these two guys.

Rhodes and DiBiase, not bad kids. Not as good as a Barrett/Bryan match but still pretty solid. They have good in ring chemistry and I hope these two have another match. End saw DiBiase take off Rhodes mask and Rhodes took advantage and gets the roll-up victory. The #1 contender for the World Title beats his former protégé in a solid contest.

Fatal 4 Way match was unpredictable, just as I wanted it. Not the best F4W but still a good match. For a second there, I thought Alex Riley was going to be the champion after he hit that DDT on Swagger, but it wasn't to be. Ending sees Swagger hit his powerbomb on Morrision, only for Ziggler to push him out the way and retain the title. Nice! The hardest working champion in WWE retains again! Three good matches in a row, good job WWE!

It has FINALLY FINALLY happened! Mark Henry, MARK HENRY defeated the World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton to win his first MAJOR World Title. What a shocker at Night of Champions! I boldly predicted this on Saturday and it came true! No RKO for Henry, but it did take two World's Strongest Slams to defeat The Viper. Wow, WWE ACTUALLY gave Henry the belt? How long will he hold it? My guess is Hell in a Cell when Orton gets his rematch. He's gonna give him a punt to win the title back, mark my words. Good performance by both men and congrats to Mark Henry for reaching the top of the mountain.

They screwed Beth here, plain and simple. Another roll-up victory for Kelly Kelly? That crowd was not happy with that decision though. An OK match, not better than their SS match though.

(SIIIIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHHHH) WOW, are you serious? Are you really serious? Just as I thought WWE was smart by giving Henry the title, they let John Cena defeat Alberto Del Rio at Night of Champions for his 10th WWE Title and 12th overall. Are you serious bro? It was a good match though and it's always good to see that Cena legdrop off the top. I guess Del Rio will be getting his title rematch at HIAC but I can't imagine why he would do that. I mean, he was afraid to even be in the ring with the guy, so why would he want to be locked in a cage with him? I guess Del Rio lost because the Raw rating was so low this past week. It sucks to say it but Cena = ratings. Oh well, Cena being champions actually helps Raw since there are more heels on the show anyway.

What the hell happened in this main event? First, as expected, The Awesome Truth come out to interfere, but they beat up BOTH guys. Johnny Ace comes out while both guys beat up Awesome Truth, Triple H hits the 1st Pedigree but Ace doesn't let the ref come in because the guys are hurt on the outside. Hunter comes goes out to see what's happening, goes back in, GTS. Ace sends the ref in, 1, 2, Truth pulls Punk out. Why the HELL would he do that if he wants Triple H not as COO anymore? Hunter hits his 2nd Pedigree, Nash comes out, gets hit by a Slegdgehammer, and Triple H eventually gets the pinfall when he hits the 3rd Pedigree. Fantastic main event, before all the craziness happened and it made the match EVEN BETTER after all the craziness. What happens tomorrow night? Who the hell knows and that's what makes good WWE television. All eyes are on tomorrow night and that's how WWE likes it. I bet that Raw rating will be great tomorrow night.

Another good WWE PPV. What happens tomorrow night? I think Miz/Truth will get a rematch for the tag titles, win, then defend them against Punk and HHH in a HIAC. Crazy prediction, but it could happen? See you tomorrow night.

Night of Champions predictions

Here we go, my Night of Champions predictions post. Let's do it.

The opening contest will set the mood for the whole PPV and there are so many ways to start this great PPV. I'm going with the Fatal 4 Way US Title match to start the show off. I'm really looking forward to this match. All the great midcarders in one match. Who wins the match? I'm going with Dolph Ziggler to win this one. I don't see anyone else in the WWE Title picture but Del Rio and Cena and I think Ziggler is doing a fine job at representing the US Title so I gotta go with him on this one. If I had to pick another person to win, it would be Alex Riley. You don't let him beat The Miz in June and not give the kid a title. So Riley is my back-up but my first pick is definitely Ziggler.

Rhodes and DiBiase just got thrown together at the last minute for an IC Title match. This definitely has potential to be a real show stealer but I worry that the crowd won't even care about this match one bit. I mean, this past week on Raw, Rhodes BARELY even got a reaction and he's the IC Champion and he beat the World Champion for crying out loud. How is this man not getting over? I don't think Rhodes will lose to DiBiase just yet. I know DiBiase will win the title eventually, just not this Sunday. Rhodes for the win.

Kelly or Phoenix? Well, Beth will be in her hometown of Buffalo, which probably means she won't win, but I'm going to pick her anyway. Hopefully, we'll get a Phoenix/Natalya match sometime in the future.

I don't know the last time that I was this hype for a tag team title match. Air Boom VS The Awesome Truth could really be something special. Miz and Kingston already have good chemistry and don't forget that Miz is the one who beat Kingston for his first singles title in the WWE. I'm pretty sure that's not important for this match though. Anyway, this is another potential show stealer and it really could go either way. Air Boom needs this victory to prove they are here to stay and to help rebuild this tag division. The Awesome Truth really don't need the tag titles, but it would be nice to see them with some gold. As much as I want to see The Awesome Truth win, I think Air Boom needs the victory so much more so I'm going with the high fliers on this one.

Will Mark Henry FINALLY win his 1st major World Title? Will WWE FINALLY realize that he deserves a World Title? I really hope so. This man took out Big Show and Kane AND put Sheamus through a barricade. How doesn't he get a World Title? Unfortunately for Henry, he's going against Randal Orton who is our new Superman in WWE. Chances are Henry won't be beating Orton this Sunday for the World Title but I'm staying optimistic! I am boldly picking Mark Henry to defeat Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday at Night of Champions. If he doesn't win, it will be because of a returning Big Show or Kane.

Alberto's first big WWE Title defense on a PPV and it's against Raw's Superman John Cena. I've been wanting to see this feud since Del Rio got drafted to Raw. This is a big time match for Del Rio, who has been overlooked since winning the WWE Title. With Hell in a Cell in two weeks, there is no way in hell Del Rio is losing, right? We'll see. Del Rio won't be winning with armbar I'll tell you that. Roll-up or DQ finish is most likely. Well, it should be a good match either way.

And the main event. In what could be the match of the year, CM Punk will face Triple H in a No DQ match. No DQ means that there won't be a clear winner. Will we see Kevin Nash comeback? I don't think so. Everyone is EXPECTING Nash to come back. Like at SummerSlam, everyone thought Hunter was going to turn heel but in the end, we got Kevin Nash and a new WWE Champion. WWE is going to do that again with this match. Whatever we expect to happen, isn't. Vince and the creative team aren't stupid. So what do I think will happen? I'm hoping somebody will turn fully heel first off. I don't care if it's Punk OR Triple H, just somebody turn heel. Second of all, IF Punk's the one to turn heel, he needs The Awesome Truth to help him. They keep saying Triple H has conspiracies against them, so why not cost the guy the match AND his job? It just makes sense wrestling wise. So that's my prediction. CM Punk will defeat Triple H at Night of Champions due to the interference from The Awesome Truth. Straight Edge Society Part 2?

Anyway, there it is, my NOC predictions. So, Rock and Cena will be teaming up at Survivor Series this year? That's some big news. I guess it will be Rock and Cena's team VS Miz and Truth's team? I think that would be the best option. Anyway, come on back Sunday night for my reaction post.

Rhodes beat Orton!

That's the big story coming out of Monday's Raw, but I'll get to it in a minute. Let me break the show down, segment by segment.

As much as I like Bret Hart, I don't care to see him on television. I know the crowd absolutely eats it up, but it seems like a waste of time to me. Anyway, Cena basically guarantees victory over Del Rio this Sunday at Night of Champions, which is impossible because they haven't gone to Mexico yet. They set up a tag team match between Del Rio and Ricardo facing Cena and Hart. Lame.

Tag team action is next between Riley/Morrison VS Ziggler/Swagger. In the end, Riley FINALLY uses his real finisher, the TKO, to get the victory for his team. Ziggler could've helped Swagger but decides not to. I really don't give two darns about a Ziggler/Swagger feud, just put Ziggler in my main events. Anyway, it's announced that Ziggler will defend his US Title against Morrison, Swagger, and Riley at NOC. Yes, a Fatal Four Way! Will this be Ziggler last night as champion and will he finally be propelled to the main event? We'll see.

The Awesome Truth have such good chemistry together and now not only did they use each other's catchphrases, they have their own awesome handshake! Anyway, Miz faces Kingston in a pretty good TV match. Miz gets the easy victory and the momentum for Sunday's tag battle. I want to see Miz and Truth as champions, but Air Boom just got the titles. Let them have a 3 month reign at least.

ANOTHER tag match with Otunga and McGillicutty taking on Lawler and his surprise partner. Who is it? SHEAMUS! The faces get the win and I really hope Sheamus somehow gets back into the World Title picture because this whole happy face Great White thing isn't working for me.

Cena and Hart beat Ricardo and Del Rio after Del Rio abandons Ricardo. YAWN, I just want to see the match already.

Kelly Kelly beats Vickie. Beth tries to attack Kelly after the match, but fails. YAWN, I just want to see the match. Wait, did I say that already? I really do want to see the match though. Their SummerSlam match wasn't that bad to be honest.

Here's the big story! In Raw's main event, the IC Champion Cody Rhodes defeated the World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton in a rematch from Smackdown! It wasn't as good a match as their match on Smackdown, mainly because Henry was on the outside trying to distract Orton. In the end, it works, as Rhodes used his protective mask to hit Orton then hit the Cross Rhodes to get the 3 count. Rhodes STILL doesn't have a match for NOC, but I'm betting he'll defend against DiBiase. Good job Rhodes, you did good kid.

The last segment was between the two men who will main event NOC, Punk and HHH. Good promo, both guys had some good points. In the end of Raw, Punk gets real and puts both man's real names out there and just like his initial shoot promo, the microphone cuts off. HHH gets another mic, it goes off. HHH gets another one, Punk thinks about talking and then hits Hunter with it. He gives him a little DX crotch chop and leaves the ring. Great way to end the show and I really can't wait to see this match. If they don't get the main event, I will snap.

Overall, another average Raw. They call these Raws Supershows, but we barely saw Smackdown Superstars tonight. We got Sheamus, Henry, the IC Champ, and the World Champ. That's it? No Barrett or Bryan? Come on Raw. Anyway, good build for both the Raw NOC main events. Depending on the matches on Smackdown, come back on either late Tuesday night or early Saturday morning for my Smackdown reaction post. That will be the same post as my NOC prediction post so be on the look out. Who do I think will win the No DQ main event? Find out this weekend. Oh, and I love iDate Sam and Freddie. Those two acting all lovely dovey warms my frozen heart. Anyway, a nice little cliffhanger ending but at least we don't have to wait 5 months to see the next episode as iCant Take It airs Saturday. I could get used to this weekly episode stuff. And only 3 weeks until Dark Souls is released. Better be prepared to die. And congrats to Novak Djokovic for winning the US Open, his 4th Grand Slam overall and his 3rd of the year. He really is the CM Punk of tennis. He's changing the game. Good job man.

Good main event...

So I waited until Smackdown aired to see the Orton/Rhodes match and it was a great contest. They have some great chemistry in the ring and I really hope the WWE has that feud in the back of their minds for later. That has some serious potential. Another feud that I want to see from Smackdown, which I've said over and over again, is Sheamus/Barrett. I'm telling you, Smackdown, do those two feuds and you'll be set for the fall/winter seasons.

Well, Henry destroys Orton again to end this week's Smackdown. Will WWE give Henry the title FINALLY? I mean, should they really? Who would Henry feud with for the title? Orton and Sheamus, that's it right? If Orton's champ, he can feud with Henry, Sheamus, Christian, Rhodes, or Barrett. Smackdown's World Title picture needs some help right now. The show can't survive with a heel champion because the same people will keep getting shots. If Henry does beat Orton at NOC, he'll just lose it again at HIAC TWO weeks later. I mean, seriously. Speaking of HIAC, why does it have to be two weeks from NOC? That's wrestling overload if you ask me. Whatever the World Title matches at NOC are going to happen again at HIAC, just INSIDE the HIAC. We'll get Punk/HHH, Cena/Del Rio/ and Orton/Henry AGAIN and we'll have to pay 45 bucks to see it live. Are you serious bro? What they should do is with Smackdown, do a Triple Threat HIAC. Henry/Orton/Sheamus would be a much better match and would just make sense overall. Or a Fatal Four Way with , Andy Murray, Andy Roddick, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, iCarly, iDate Sam and Freddie, John Cena, Christian involved. WHY won't they do a Fatal Four Way on PPV? They had a PPV specifically for F4W matches, but then they cancel it. Am I the only one who enjoys the dynamic of a F4W match? You don't know who's going to win. And they're always interesting to watch. Call me crazy but a Fatal Four Way between the top 4 guys on Smackdown for the World Title sounds like an awesome main event to me. Either do it at HIAC OR Vengeance. Survivor Series should be Rhodes' shot then. What about Daniel Bryan? Do you think we'll see a cash in at HIAC? I know it's not going to happen at NOC, since HIAC is two weeks later and there's no WAY Bryan will be in the HIAC yet. Who knows, but a F4W between Orton/Christian/Henry/Sheamus SHOULD be the Smackdown main event at a PPV coming soon.

As for Raw, they don't have anything to worry about. I'm sure Del Rio will retain at NOC in some kind of controversial matter, setting up for the HIAC match, where Del Rio will win again, since they're going to Mexico in October. He'll probably lose it at Vengeance so Cena can walk into Survivor Series as champion and maybe get screwed by The Rock AGAIN. I don't know where Punk, Miz, Truth, and the other main eventers sit on Raw, but I can see Del Rio/Cena having at least 2-3 PPV matches. Will Ziggler finally get the push he deserves? You know what I want to see at Survivor Series? Ziggler/Cena and Rhodes/Orton. At Royal Rumble this year, they had Miz/Orton and Ziggler/Edge and they were both GREAT title matches and both got a lot of time. Why can't they do that again? A Ziggler/Cena match would be epic and we already saw how good Orton/Rhodes can be. They should just book those matches now. The other superstars left can be in Classic Survivor Series matches. Miz, Truth, Del Rio, Henry, and Barrett VS Bourne, Kingston, Punk, Sheamus, and Bryan. Boom, just made the Survivor Series card. Hahaha, well, it's way too soon for that but I really do hope Rhodes or Ziggler are featured in the World Title matches at SOME PPV in the near future. Or at least get an opportunity to be in the one. Now that I think about it, didn't Cena and Ziggler have back to back matches on Raw and Smackdown and they were both REALLY good? Yup, book the matches RIGHT NOW!

iDate Sam and Freddie comes on later today. Can't believe another month of my life has gone by. Life is just going by. Next thing you know, it'll be WrestleMania 28 and I'll be typing how I'm on Team Cena and what not. Anyway, can't wait for the episode and I'm already pretty excited after seeing a couple of sneak peeks.

The finals for the US Open are this weekend. The women's tournament is pretty much already decided. There's no way Wozniacki is beating Serena and I don't think either Kerber or Stosur will beat her either so I guess she's winning it all. I still have hope. Until Serena dominates Wozniacki that is. As for the men, the top 4 have all gotten through again. Will we get ANOTHER Djokovic/Nadal final or will Murray somehow break through and defeat Nadal? Murray beat Nadal at the 2008 Open so will history repeat itself? If Federer beats Djokovic and Murray beats Nadal, Federer will probably win the title. If we get a Djokovic-Murray final, I think Murray will finally win his 1st Grand Slam. He's the only other guy to beat Djokovic this year, remember that. Or will we get Nadal/Federer AGAIN? I've always liked seeing those two go at it and to be honest, Federer hasn't won a Grand Slam title since the beginning of 2010, so if those two met, I would be rooting for Federer. Any way you slice it, you got a good last two days of tennis left. Here's hoping for a Murray-Djokovic final.

October 4th begins my gaming nirvana part 2 with Dark Souls. I'm literally playing no games lately to get myself ready for all the gaming I'm about to go through. Dark Souls, Dead Rising 2, The Cursed Crusade, Batman, Silent Hill Downpour, Saints Row 3, Zelda, and WWE 12. 8 huge games. What am I looking forward to play most? If I had to put it in a top 3 order it would be:
3. Silent Hill: Downpour
2. Zelda
1. Saints Row 3
I can't believe I have SR3 over Zelda, but it's simply because SR3 will probably just be pure unadulterated FUN. And that's what I'm really want in video games. Which of these games won't I beat? Last year, it was Fallout: New Vegas. I STILL haven't beaten that. If I had to pick one, it's probably going to be Dark Souls. I never beat Demon's Souls and if it's as hard as they say it is, I'll probably just say forget it and go to playing The Cursed Crusade or Dead Rising. What game do I think will surprise me? Probably Silent Hill. SH: Homecoming was the biggest surprise of 2010 when I played it. I didn't think I would like it THAT much. Hell, I played the game A WHOLE DAY. Like, from the time I woke up, to the time I went to sleep. I got all the achievements in it within a week. I really enjoyed that game. Anyway, if Downpour is anything like Homecoming, I'll probably fall in love with it. I'm not worried about money for the games if anybody is concerned. DR2 and TCC come out a day before my birthday AND their both 40 bucks, so it's basically like getting two games for the price of one. As for the others, I've already saved enough money to get them all, I just have to wait now. (sigh) Only 3 weeks until this all begins. See you guys on Monday night.

NOC is shaping up

Another average Raw. Once again, Punk/Nash/HHH have an amazing promo. We finally found out who send Nash the text message and it was..... Kevin Nash. Yes, Nash sent the text to himself. His excuse? He was trying to make 'this' fun again. I can't blame the man and I don't know if he made it fun again, but he definitely made Raw relevant in the last couple weeks. Well, in the end, Triple H couldn't take all the lies from Nash anymore, so he punched him and fired the man. Later in the night, after Punk defeated R-Truth, Triple H came out again and announced that their main event match at NOC will now be No DQ AKA it's not going to end cleanly. Punk comes right back saying that if Punk beats Triple H, he has to resign as COO of the WWE and Triple H agrees. So, Punk's losing right? Can't wait to see this match.

Beth is getting her rematch at NOC and The Awesome Truth will make their debut as a team at NOC when they face Air Boom for the Tag Titles. That's our opening match right there. That's another match I'm really looking forward to because of its potential. Not only does it have the potential to be a great match, it also proves that WWE is serious about reviving the tag division. Did you see all the guys talking backstage together last night? Could you imagine Reks and Hawkings or McIntyre and Christian teaming up? It's the exposure all those guys need. Or maybe they just wanted to show heels talking to other heels backstage, who knows? Anyway, can't wait to see Air Boom VS Awesome Truth. I don't really care who wins the match, but I don't think it would be smart to take the titles right off of Air Boom, just saying. Oh, and while Punk/HHH may be having the best dramatic promos, Truth is stealing the show with his comedy. Pairing him with The Miz was pure genius.

It was nice to see a Zack Ryder promo package. I like the guy so I'm all for WWE using him on the show. Is this the start of a push for the man? Here's hoping. Orton absolutely destroys Heath Slater. He did to Slater what Cena did to Barrett. And the main event was a nice 8 Man Elimination Match and it was actually pretty good. Faces get the victory and for the first time in a while, the show's ending doesn't involve CM Punk. Punk/HHH is still getting the main event regardless. Anyway, like I said, pretty average Raw. Punk/Truth and the main event were the only good matches and the opening and the Awesome Truth promos were both entertaining in their own ways. Also, how is Del Rio not wrestling after missing BOTH shows last week?

Well, we got 5 matches for Night of Champions 2011 and I'm not going to lie, I like the matches. We're just waiting for the IC and US Title matches, which are probably going to be Rhodes/DiBiase and Ziggler/Morrison (please GOD) respectively and if they announce those two matches, the PPV is a must buy for me. So, here's my card adding the two middle title matches.
Punk/HHH
Del Rio/Cena
Orton/Henry
Ziggler/Morrison
Rhodes/DiBiase
Air Boom/Awesome Truth
Kelly/Phoenix

What do you think? Are you liking the NOC card or does it seem like a dud? Anyway, that's the weekly Raw post for the week. I'm trying to watch some tennis before work but these darn stupid rain delays are killing me. If this keeps up, everything is going to be moved to tomorrow which will push everything to Monday like when Del Potro beat Federer. I don't know if that's better for me or not right now. Whatever, have a safe day and I'll see you early tomorrow morning for the Smackdown talk.

Forgot ALL about Smackdown...

I'm extra late but here's my thoughts about the live Super Smackdown this past Tuesday.

Wade Barrett and Cena start off the show and Barrett didn't stand a dang chance. It was complete and utter domination. It was really sickening to look at to be honest. The man who beat Cena, who made Cena look human, got his behind whooped in like 4 minutes. Really disgusting match-up.

I guess they're setting up the original Sin Cara VS The New Sin Cara after his heel turn on Tuesday. It definitely could be an interesting feud. Del Rio couldn't make it AGAIN so no Del Rio/Cara match which I think is good. That's a big potential match-up so I think it would be stupid to waste it on a live Smackdown event.

Punk/HHH steal the show with another good promo. Their match is definitely going to be the main event and it probably won't end cleanly. I hope it does but with Mr. Kevin Nash, I don't think we'll see a fair ending. Whoever wins though is alright with me, just as long as they steal the show and put on a fantastic match.

In the main event, Orton beats his nemesis Christian in a good cage match with a Super Duper RKO off the top rope. With that win, Christian is officially out of the World Title picture for a good while. I'm glad he was able to have the title twice, even if they were relatively short reigns. Now, I hope he goes on to either have a feud with Gabriel or Bryan. After the match, The Best That Ever Did It, Mark Henry came out and destroyed Orton. Now, I'm a huge fan of Randy Orton, have been since 2003, but I'm really pulling for Henry to finally win the World Title. I don't see it happening but I'll stay optimistic. Here's pulling for Henry to finally win the title. One reign won't kill WWE and it just wouldn't make sense for Orton to beat him. He dominates Show, Kane, and Sheamus, but loses to Orton? Nah buddy, not buying it. That could also lead into a Sheamus World Title reign which could then lead into a fantastic Barrett/Sheamus showdown. Just saying. Unless Rhodes is planned to be facing Orton soon, I want Henry to win the title at NOC.

Speaking of Rhodes, were the hell was he? The IC Champion wasn't even featured on either show which is a crime. Anyway, interesting Smackdown this week. Henry/Orton is all but confirmed and Del Rio no shows both events. With both World Title matches confirmed, Punk/HHH will definitely get the main event. Also, HHH is returning to action this Monday. Can't wait to see him bury Zack Ryder.

Anyway, enough about wrestling. I'm a huge tennis fan and I'm trying to follow the US Open as closely as I can. Favorite male players are Roddick, Murray, and Tsonga. Favorite female players are Wozniacki, Li Na, and Lisicki. I've been waiting for a while to see Murray and Wozniacki to win majors so those are my picks to win. Back ups are Lisicki (gorgeous) and Federer. Federer hasn't won a Grand Slam in a while so it would be nice to see him back on top. To be honest, the men's tennis scene is a lot like WWE top male stars. In male tennis, you have Federer, the best of his generation, Nadal, the 2nd best of his generation, and Djokovic, the up and comer. Federer would obviously be Cena, Nadal is Orton, and Djokovic could be Miz or Punk. Oh, and Murray would be Barrett. That's just how I see it.

And again, sorry for the late post. Had some other things on my mind, specifically my beautiful girlfriend. Ah, I won't get into it. But hey, iCarly is going to be on a weekly basis starting next week. Get pumped! That means every Saturday I come home, iCarly will be on. Finally, all my dreams are coming true. So, iCarly returns next Saturday, Punk/HHH and Del Rio/Cena on September 18th, The Office comes back September 22nd and then October 4th starts gaming nirvana part 2 with the Demon's Souls spiritual successor, Dark Souls. That's followed by Dead Rising 2: Off The Record and The Cursed Crusade on the 11th AKA a day before my birthday. That's followed by Batman on the 18th. THAT'S followed by Silent Hill Downpour on the 25th. I finally get a 3 week break to beat all of those and then on November 15th, Saints Row 3 finally releases. THEN, not only is Survivor Series on the 20th, but Skyward Sword FINALLY releases THEN two days later, WWE 12 releases. That's the last big release and then I can save to buy things for Christmas, but fall is going to be a great time for games. That's 8 GAMES to play. 8! Last year, it was Dead Rising 2, Castlevania, Fallout, and SVR11. That's DOUBLE the amount from last year and I couldn't be happier.

OH, and how I could I forget to talk about ALL the Persona news this week. We're getting a Persona 4 re release for the PS Vita AND a Persona fighter! A fighting game from the people who did BlazBlue. BLAZBLUE! Come on! And then, they announced the team that worked on 3 and 4 are coming back to make 5. Oh, and then Square Enix announces they have something to announce about Dragon Quest X on the 5th. Man, just when I thought JRPGs were dead. Alright that's it. Good night and see you Monday after Raw!
