With E3 almost over, many games were given solid releases dates in the fall and winter months. Add that to the games remaining in the summer months and my wallet is not happy. Let me map out the remaining games I want in 2019.
July 19 - Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
July 26 - Wolfenstein: Youngblood, maybe Fire Emblem: Three House
August 27 - Control
August 30 - Astral Chain and Dark Picture: Man of Medan
September 3 - Catherine: Full Body (probably will rent)
September 10 - Gears 5 (definitely playing with Xbox Game Pass)
September 17 - AI: The Somnium Files
September 20 - Link's Awakening and Ni No Kuni Remaster
September 27 - Code Vein
October 25 - The Outer Worlds
November 8 - Death Stranding
November 13 - XIII (where is gameplay for it?)
November 19 - Shenmue III
November 22 - Doom Eternal
Definitely I'm most excited for MUA3, Control, AI, Code Vein, Shenmue III and Doom Eternal. MUA3 is the Marvel game I need in my life. I'm at the apex of my superhero fandom so I'm pumped for a game in this universe. Control is the next game from Remedy, who made Alan Wake and Quantum Break. AW is one of the most innovative action adventure games of its generation and QB was a fun time bending action shooter. Control looks to mix more of that mind bending fun together. AI is the next game from the twisted mind behind my favorite visual novel series Zero Escape. I don't think I need to say much more about why I'm excited for that. Code Vein is anime Dark Souls. While I've had my share of challenge with Sekiro this year, I'm hoping this lives up to the hype and is worth the year delay it had. Shenmue III is a game I've literally been waiting for for nearly two decades. Doom Eternal is the sequel to the best FPS of this generation. The E3 run of the game looked like it's going to be more gory and visceral than the original. I just want to blast some demons from Hell all over again.
Anyway, this doesn't include any indie title that gets released or any other 2019 that has been announced with no release date, like Luigi's Mansion 3, Indivisible (the biggest title I want with no release date), etc.
2019 has been a good gaming year so far. It will end with a bang if these all meet their release dates.
