There will be a battle royal to determine the new Intercontinental Champion. Bad news for Barrett but someone has a golden opportunity to hold the much sought after IC Title. While there at least 20 guys in the match, obviously, there are a couple guys who can really walk out with the gold. Everyone is banking on Cesaro as he's the only one of the new three without direction. The new three consist of Reigns, Wyatt and Cesaro. I'm coining the term right now. It makes sense but what happened to Cesaro/Lesnar? The IC Title seems like a downgrade from a mega match up like that. I guess they can build him up while holding the title. Sheamus is a leading candidate. He's already the holder of the US Title and they've been talking about for years about unifying both titles, so why not give it to Sheamus? RVD since returning has been without direction. It's a little sad, seeing how big a fanbase RVD has. Giving him the IC Title and then have him feuding with some youth for the belt would be nice. Miz has just come back and he looks good in the ring. He's had some good matches with Sheamus lately so maybe they won't give him the IC Title and instead have him feud with for the US Title. While all these guys are great, I'm picking someone out of left field. I'm picking Bo Dallas. The inspirational one. He's one of my favorites on TV right now. I just love his gimmick. I think I really started to like him when he interrupted Daniel Bryan at MITB. You go toe to toe with the former WWE Heavyweight Champion? That's something special there. And why not make him champion? He can start to feud with either Kingston, RVD or reignite his feud with Big E from NXT. The sky's the limit. While I KNOW Cesaro will get the strap, I'm still picking Bo Dallas. You gotta Bolieve!
Swagger/Rusev? Yes please! I really like Rusev's style. After his two short, but hard hitting clashes with Big E, I became a fan. He's got some good stuff. He has the potential to be a monster heel and I can really see him and Reigns main eventing some PPVs down the line. This could be a really good but short match. Unfortunately, due to this match, Rusev won't get his chance at the IC Title. Maybe he'll go after the US Title after beating Swagger here? Sheamus/Rusev at SummerSlam would be awesome. Anyway, Rusev with the quick victory here.
Usos VS Rowan and Harper in a 2/3 Falls match? Just take my money WWE! So genius! These guys stole the show at MITB and again when they wrestled on Raw a couple weeks ago. These teams just have amazing chemistry which obviously make for amazing matches. And they get to wrestle AT LEAST 2 falls? I haven't looked forward to a tag match like this in awhile. I expect them to have another match at SummerSlam and the only way to have that is to have the Usos cash in their rematch clause. Harper and Rowan will finally win the gold. It's been a year in the making!
If the tag match doesn't steal the show, Ambrose and Rollings surely will. Two of the internet darlings will clash for the first time on WWE TV. Easily, it's my most anticipated one on one match this year. I've been an Ambrose fan since I first saw him at the Raw I attended live. I became a fan of Rollings once I saw his crazy bumps and amazing in ring ability. You combine that with Ambrose's weird and death defying style and you have a match of the year. Maybe. If they get enough time. Honestly though, it should be an amazing match, filled with high flying antics and crazy selling spots. This is another match that I see happening again at SummerSlam, maybe even with a stipulation, possibly for Rollings contract? Anyway, I think the bad guy will get the win. Rollings win.
AJ/PAIGE! ON PPV!?!? YES! This will be the best women's match on WWE television since Lita/Trish. Ok, maybe not that far. How about Mickie James/Beth Phoenix? No, I'm going with Lita/Trish! Anyway, it's the two best Divas in WWE, squaring off for the 3rd time. Sorry Charlotte, but these are the top two. Anyway, I can't wait for this match. I will be watching completely as a fan when this comes on. Once again, this is another match at will happen again at the biggest party of the summer, but at SummerSlam, they won't be friends. This should be a friendly contest but following Paige's defeat, I fully believe that we'll finally get a heel turn from the young Diva. It's only right. They're not going to turn Mrs. Punk heel again just yet. AJ gets the win here but Paige will turn heel here or either the following Raw.
Bray Wyatt will face ANOTHER top star at a PPV this year! He's fought Bryan and Cena, and now, he's getting Chris Jericho. I love Jericho. He comes back just to feud with the new talent. That's some class for you! Anyway, here's another great match for a B PPV. You have Jericho's great wrestling skills VS Wyatt's unorthodox style. Should be good. Wyatt's been on a roll in his position. Reigns is obviously next in line, but Wyatt is using his time well, establishing a strong fanbase and following and he'll definitely get more fans after feuding with Jericho. This is ANOTHER match that will probably happen again at SummerSlam. Jericho always puts over the young talent. He even let Fandango go over him at Wrestlemania! Bray Wyatt will get the hard fought win, not without interference from his family. Maybe they'll do a huge 6 man tag at Summerslam?
Cena wins. There's no doubt. There's no reason to go any further. Reigns will go onto face Orton or HHH at SummerSlam while Cena will win and they'll reveal the backup plan, Brock Lesnar. We'll get Lesnar/Cena III at SummerSlam, hopefully giving Lesnar his 4th WWE Title. Done.
It's ashame, such a great card has such a predictable main event. Battleground airs Sunday! Should be a good show!
Farewell CM Punk! It looks like Punk's contract expired this past week, even after WWE mentioning his name more and more on television. It's a sad day but not totally unexpected. Punk had been very outspoken that he wouldn't be wrestling for long and that once his contract expired, he probably wouldn't resign. It sucks as a Punk fan but his leaving opened the way for Daniel Bryan. Had Punk stayed, the plans WERE to have Bryan face Sheamus at Mania. He would've never gotten his big break in the first place. WWE had to scramble to make stars with Punk's departure and they are slowly starting to build some guys up. I'm sad to see him go but he had a fantastic career. I don't care what anyone says, he left dirty, but you can't take away his two MITB victories, his countless wins over golden boy John Cena and his impressive 434 day title reign. You can say he did nothing during that reign but he did do one thing. WIN. So long Punk, enjoy retirement. And AJ :)

BattleSlam or SummerGround...sorry, Battleground! Sunday! Watch!
Bye Punk!
