SPOILER ALERT!
In a move that shocked NO ONE, Kane will indeed be defending his World Heavyweight Title against The Undertaker. WOW, that took long enough. Sorry for the huge spoilers everyone. Also, Kaval won the 2nd season of NXT. Nobody else deserved it more than him to be honest. I don't know what WWE was thinking with the new Nexus, but hopefully, they will go to Smackdown and start raising some hell over there.

That's the only time they would win
The Nexus finally defeated Team WWE...two weeks after SummerSlam in a rushed main event match, and they didn't even eliminate all five members. The biggest shock for me was when Justin Gabriel hit the 450 Splash on Cena and pinned him CLEANLY. CLEANLY! No Nexus help! Just hit the splash and pinned him. Of course, he was eliminated 5 seconds later, but it's an elimination no doubt. Then, Wade Barrett finally gets some credibility by pinning Orton, but why couldn't they have won at SummerSlam? I hate when WWE does that. The Nexus is there weakest right now, so it made Team WWE look even weaker by losing to them. Well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. I'm watching Raw was I type this and I just went crazy over Miz's new T-shirt. Hello, I'm Awesome! LMAO, I'm getting that for sure. Also, I was reading the the Raw results and the Nexus beat up THE UNDERTAKER? Are you kidding me? Without Shepfield? I really don't like their chances of survival without him. Anyway, Melina VS Lay-Cool was announced. I guess they're going to make Melina the first woman to hold both titles. It should be her in my opinion. I love how the Women's championship match has been announced BEFORE the f'ing World Title match! Are you kidding me? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The match that will have the MOST storyline in recent history hasn't even been announced yet. I don't see how that makes ANY sense. Well, maybe they're still holding off for that Six Pack Challenge for Smackdown. It would make sense. Undertaker/Kane/Mysterio/Del Rio/CM Punk/Big Show. Let Kane win, since we all know Sheamus is going to lose to SOMEBODY. I don't know who is going to beat him, probably Wade, but he's not walking out as champion. If he does, I'll be really shocked. Storyline wise, it doesn't make sense. Sheamus' biggest rival on Raw was taken out by him. If Triple H was healthy and made his return at SS, then yes, Sheamus could win the match. But, an Orton/Sheamus HIAC over a Wade Barrett/Cena HIAC? I go with the latter just for storyline purposes. That way, Kane/Taker EASILY get the main event they deserve. Like I said in previous posts, let Barrett hold the damn title for TWO WEEKS. Jesus Christ. Sheamus held the title for 70 days, 10 WEEKS, in his first reign. You guys can give Barrett the title for 14 measly days. At least then your top guy will be champion again...for a couple of minutes until THE MIZ comes out to finally win the title. Hey, I can dream right?
Oh crap, I forgot all about WWE's next big Smackdown star, Alberto Del Rio! I'm looking forward to seeing what WWE does with him. I mean, I can't remember the last time a rookie came out of nowhere and put a WWE great on the sideline. That's actually groundbreaking for WWE. TNA does that stuff all the time, but WWE? That's something new. I wouldn't be shocked if Del Rio was champion by the end of the year. The way Smackdown is right now, who knows?

900 Episodes of Raw
What will WWE have planned for tonight? We're three weeks away from Night of Champions and we only have one match announced. Daniel Bryan and The Miz should be announced either tonight or next week. I have a feeling it's going to be really about Raw's past tonight and not so much on the current storyline feuds. With Nexus now down to 5 members, what will they do? Will Darren Young be put back into the group? And with Skip Shepfields' injury coming from a match with the Hart Dynasty, will they be soon chasing after the tag titles? LayCool said they would be on Raw tonight, so a Women's Title Unification bout will be coming. Not really interested in the Women's division anymore. Maybe if Beth Phoenix, Maryse, and Mickie James were involved, yeah, but McCool to me is boring. Layla is drop dead sexy, but she's not really a wrestler. Melina is sexy and is actually pretty good in the ring. It's weird how much women's wrestling has changed in the past five years. Does anyone remember when Lita and Trish Stratus MAIN EVENTED Raw? That's when WWE's women wrestling was at its peak. I miss those days. Anyway, I hope to see some legends come back for tonight's show. Obviously, Flair and Hogan are out, but what about Stone Cold? It's always a pleasure to see him give someone a Stunner. Maybe The Rock can do a video thing like he did for Wrestlemania 23? Unfortunately, I won't be able to see Raw live due to work tonight, but hopefully, it will be a good one.
October is coming up and that means video game season in on! It really starts at the end of September. Dead Rising 2, sequel to one of my favorite 360 games, comes out on the 28th. I've been really looking forward to this, I just hope the addition of multiplayer doesn't ruin the overall single player experience. Then, on October 5th, two games I want to check out will be released. First, is Enslaved. It's made by Ninja Theory, who did the average Heavenly Sword. It looks like a pretty standard adventure game, but I'll give it a try. The other game that comes out is from a series that I hold dear to me, and that is the Castlevania series. If you've been reading the blog for a while, you should know that Symphony of the Night is probably my favorite game of all time. It's up there alright. So anytime something Castlevania related comes out, I'm excited. Now, the 3D CV's have been, how you say, not that great. The Nintendo 64 ones were good to me, but the PS2 ones, no. But, after reading some previews, I'm pretty excited for this game. A God of War Castlevania game that has some length to it? Yeah, I'm excited.
Skip to two weeks later, Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout 3 was my 2nd favorite game from 2008. I loved the ability to do anything I wanted and the fact that I could stay an ass for the whole game. This is probably my most anticipated for October. THEN, on the final week of October, this little wrestling business called the WWE will release SVR 2011. Yeah sure, it's going to be like most of the SVR games, but I'll finally get to play as Sheamus! SHEAMUS! I can finally kick Evan Bourne right in his face with the Sheamus Kick! That's going to be an exciting day. But all joking aside, I'm really looking forward to the latest edition to that game. I just hope I have the money for all these games!

6 Pack Challenge?
Alright, this will contain spoilers for next week's Raw so don't read if you want to be surprised!
Well, the main event of Night of Champions has been announced. Sheamus has the unfortunate task of defending his WWE Title against 5 hungry contenders in Edge, Jericho, Randy Orton, John Cena, and WADE BARRETT! The Nexus leader will be cashing in on his NXT contact title shot! Once again, I called this match. Well, basically. I said there would be a championship scramble match, but they one upped me this time. Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars. September 19th will be the day that Nexus will rule WWE Raw. I'm pretty sure the other members of Nexus will go against the Hart Dynasty, win the titles, and then defend them under the freebird rule ala The Spirit Squad and of course, Wade Barrett will win the WWE Title. I can feel it! It all makes sense. Look, Wade Barrett wins the WWE Title at NOC. Guess what event is two weeks later? Hell In A Cell. If Barrett wins the title, he can defend against Cena IN a HIAC match and Cena can win back the WWE Title. I think that's the best way to get the title back on Cena. Since Triple H won't be coming back any time soon, I think giving the title to Barrett for TWO WEEKS won't be too bad. Hell, Orton's first title reign was 28 days. Just try it WWE. But, let's not forget about the Miz. He'll probably face Daniel Bryan at NOC and drop the US Title to him, so he'll be looking for so championship gold and what better time then after a very tiring 6 pack challenge. Hmm, maybe Sheamus will retain, only to lose it to the Miz afterwards. Or maybe Orton? But, I can't see Miz winning the title then having to defend it in a HIAC. He doesn't have a big enough feud for it, you know? Barrett wins the title, Cena beats Barrett in HIAC, Miz cashes in on Cena and he loses the title after winning a brutal match for the 3rd time in his career. Miz and Cena have a fall feud, leading to matches at Bragging Rights, Team Miz VS Team Cena at SS, and the TLC main event at TLC. Maybe, possibly. But, NOC can go either way. Maybe Triple H is healthy enough and will compete at HIAC, but it's a longshot right? So here's what I think Raw's NOC card will be:
6 Pack Challenge for the WWE Title (confirmed)
Daniel Bryan VS The Miz for the US Title (all but confirmed)
The Nexus VS The Hart Dynasty for the WWE Tag Team Titles (longshot but the right choice)
Melina VS LayCool for both Women Titles (all but confirmed)
Alright, only two more titles left. Kane and Undertaker MIGHT happen, but I suggest they also do a 6 Pack Challenge. Kane VS Undertaker VS Big Show VS CM Punk VS Jack Swagger VS Rey Mysterio. Dolph Ziggler can face Kofi again or Christian, if he's not in the World Title match. For the World Title match, Kane wins, then the Hell In A Cell match that's been 12 years in the making happens, and Undertaker wins the World Title. I don't know where Smackdown goes from there. Another CM Punk feud? Will McIntyre step up to the plate? Smackdown's title picture is hard to predict because of The Undertaker. I can't see some rookie like McIntyre beating him. It's just not going to happen. Well, whatever happens, WWE has a nice fall coming up.

Ah, once again WWE, you disappoint me.
I have A LOT to rant about what could have been the most monumental PPV in WWE history.
First off, I feel sorry for Matt Hardy, Christian, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston, and Dolph Ziggler. The first four guys weren't even on the card. OK, so I thought Kofi and Ziggler were going to get enough time to have a good match, but of course not. That would make sense. So what happens? The Nexus attacks both men and messes up the match. A shocker for me. I really think the six pack challenge was the way to go. Oh well.
Alicia Fox was just proving herself worthy of being the Divas' Champion. Then, Melina just comes back out of nowhere and wins back the belt. Bad booking in my opinion. THEN, LayCool comes out to beat up Melina. What the hell kind of decision was that? Maybe one of those Divas will be the first woman to hold both titles at the same time. Makes sense to me.
Straight Edge Society in the filler match. Of course, Big Show wins. It's a shame what they're doing to CM Punk. He had the BEST feud of last year and was in the main event of SummerSlam last year. Now, he's in a lower card feud with The Big Show? How did things get so bad.
Sheamus, Sheamus, Sheamus. Why can't you win a title match fair and square? Why won't they let you do it? It was a pretty good match overall. I hate endings like this at big PPVs. leave that for an Over the Limit or at TLC, not at SummerSlam. That's a bad decision right there. You want to know the part that really pissed me off? When Orton RKOed Sheamus and they kept the camera on him for a while, basically teasing Miz fans that he was going to cash in. Then, it went to a promo for something. I really hated that. JUST GIVE MIZ THE WWE TITLE ALREADY!
Well, who didn't see The Undertaker returning? Oh, and it was KANE who attacked him? Oh my God, I didn't see that coming. Now that sets up for the inevitable Kane/Taker Hell in A Cell match. At least WWE planned that way ahead. I'm really looking forward to that match though. I hope it doesn't bomb.
(heavy sigh) You guys tried. Tried hard, but failed. First of all, DANIEL BRYAN? What a twist that was! Great job by WWE to keep that under wraps. How dare Team Cena disrespect Miz like that! I didn't really like that. Overall, it was a FANTASTIC main event. Kudos to WWE for putting 7, well, actually 8 rookies in the main event at one of their big PPVs. And they did a great job. The ending though, really? Cena got a DDT on the 'concrete'. He then avoids the 450 splash, pins Gabriel, then locks in the STF on Wade Barret. Really? Really? Cena couldn't let the young guys go over just one time? The Rock lost to Brock Lesnar and that win made his career at SummerSlam. Overall, the event was good but missing many things. No real leader of Nexus was revealed, The Miz didn't cash in, and Cena buried The Nexus. Better luck next time WWE.

Tonight's the night
SummerSlam is tonight ladies and gentlemen. The biggest event of the summer. 6 match card, probably another one to be added and here are my predictions!
Dolph and Kofi should kick the show off. I really REALLY hope that somehow, someway, McIntyre, Christian, Hardy, and/or Cody Rhodes can get involved in this match. Make it a match of the night kind of thing. If that doesn't happen, Ziggler wins.
SES VS Big Show. Hopefully, SES will win, but it is Big Show.
Melina VS Alicia Fox. I think it's a little early to give her the title, so I'll go with Fox.
Kane and Mysterio. I'm sensing a Kane victory, with Undertaker making his return, setting up for the inevitable Kane/Taker feud, which will end when Taker beats Kane at HIAC. Yawn, Smackdown's so predictable.
Sheamus and Orton. Really could go either way. Sheamus really needs to beat someone other than Evan Bourne cleanly but with the stipulation if Orton loses, he can't get another title shot in place, I lean more towards Orton. I could see Sheamus winning then Orton RKOing him after the match. Here comes Miz, ready to cash in and this time, Orton does nothing, because he knows he can't get another title match against Sheamus. Makes sense right? Miz wins title and that sets up for the main event. So, I'm going with Sheamus with the CLEAN victory over Orton, but with Miz cashing in after the match.
The main event 7-on-7 match. OK, this is the hardest match I had to predict in a while. SO many possible endings. Could HHH be the 7th member and potential leader of the Nexus? Is WWE ballsy enough to let Cena be the real leader? Probably not. I think Miz will be hot off his WWE Title win and then reveal he is the leader of Nexus. The best young guy on Raw leading the most dominant group in the WWE? Sky's the limit. Miz and Cena will re ignite their feud and Miz loses the title at HIAC to Cena. Something along those lines, I maybe wrong, but The Miz will play a BIG part in one of the Raw main events. I'll do a reaction post RIGHT AFTER SummerSlam. Let's see if I know WWE as well as I think I do.

While I'm waiting for Scott Pilgrim VS The World: The Game
Well, SummerSlam is 5 days away. I always love the summer spectacle. We got some good matches, but I'm really looking forward to Nexus VS Team Cena. It's got a good storyline going with it and it's easily going to be the main event. Kudos to WWE for letting 7 rookies main event the 2nd biggest event in the WWE. I think the reason I'm really looking to the match is because of the many possible ways it could end. Will The Miz join Team Cena? Will the Real leader of Nexus be revealed? Can Team Cena keep their egos in check? I have a couple of scenarios for SummerSlam, but I've been wrong before. Alright, The Miz joins Team Cena and reveals himself as the real leader. Then of course, the Nexus jumps new champion Randy Orton to win the title on the next Raw or maybe even at SummerSlam. It's a stretch, but Miz being the leader would be even greater for his career. I'm just saying. Or maybe Triple H will come back and be the final member of Team Cena and turn on them in the end. Something big is going to happen at SummerSlam. Somehow, someway, The Nexus will win at SummerSlam. You're either Nexus us or against us.
EDIT: After waiting the whole day, I finally played Scott Pilgrim VS The World and I gotta say, it's one of the year's best downloadable titles. It's a challenge, it's chock full of video game references, and it's fantastic to play. It was worth the wait though.

So, no Edge or Jericho?
Really? REALLY? The two guys I really like are off the team. Not liking that decision. Who's going to replace them, The Hart Dynasty? Yeah, so much for the dream team. Only 3 former world champions on the team now. A total Nexus domination looks even more possible now. I just thought of something. What the hell are Edge and Jericho going to do at SummerSlam now? Two of Raw's biggest superstars are now not on the card at the 2nd biggest PPV of the year. Bad booking by WWE there. I still like the storyline with Team Cena imploding, but at the cost of losing the two of the best members of the team? Not so much. Maybe instead of The Hart Dynasty, DiBiase and Bourne will join the team, and Edge and Jericho will reunite and face The Hart Dynasty for the tag titles. Haha, I can dream right? This SummerSlam also has The Miz off the card. Sickening. I understand though. It's for a reason. He's going to try and cash in after the WWE Title match is over. WWE is teasing it pretty hard, but I just don't know. Yeah, I REALLY want to see The Miz cash in the contract and win the title, but it's maybe too soon. Could anybody see The Miz defending his title in a HIAC at HIAC? I think that's unrealistic. Sheamus VS Triple H should be the main event for that PPV, but with The Game injured, who knows when he'll come back? Whatever, after the way WWE pushed Sheamus and Swagger, I wouldn't be surprised if The Miz did win the title at SS. Once again, should be a surprising SummerSlam event. So, two world title matches, a 3-on-1 handicap match, and the Elimination Tag Team Main Event. Just need Melina VS Alicia Fox, Dolph Ziggler VS Kofi, and maybe The Miz VS Bourne, or Edge/Jericho VS The Hart Dynasty (whoever isn't in the elimination tag main event) and you got a fantastic SummerSlam card.
