Road to Survivor Series

Hell in the Cell was one of the finer filler PPVs WWE ever put on. Seriously, I enjoyed mostly every match. I knew WWE had something special when the Bellas of ALL people had an entertaining match. It was something to behold. Of course, Ziggler/Cesaro had a great match but the shocker of the night, match wise, Cena and Orton wasn't that bad. We even got to see the AA into a RKO. It was also cool seeing the Cena shoulder tackle into a RKO as well. Pretty good match between the two. It's up there with their frist meeting and their Iron Man match for me personally. The real twist came during the main event.

First off, it was exciting to see Ambrose and Rollings receive main event billing. It was the biggest feud and the HIAC was made for it. The start was absolutely stunning, with those guys actually starting the match from the top of the Cell and of course, falling from the mid way point into the tables. That spot, in this era, was shocking to see, especially seeing how the match hadn't started yet. The match itself, didn't disappoint. All the spots were great, especially the powerbomb throw into the table. Great match and an even better ending, with Bray Wyatt making his return to attack Dean Ambrose. That will only lead to good things. I haven't seen Wyatt's Raw promo yet, but I can assume that it's good. I'm really looking forward to what's next for both Rollings and Ambrose. Rollings will most likely start a feud with Orton, which is great for his career.

Survivor Series is next up and they already announced the main event. Cena will captain a team against Team Authority. Team Cena looks to have himself and Ziggler on it right now while The Authority will have Rollings and Kane right now. There are plenty of possibilities for this main event. Randy Orton is a huge variable in this match as this could be the focal point of his face turn. The budding rivalry of Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt could come to play in this. We could get the Super Athlete Rusev involved. There's really no limit to the guys in this match.

I think Team Cena should be Cena, Ziggler, Ambrose, Orton and either Sheamus, Big Show or Ryback, whoever is going to feud with Rusev basically. I wouldn't use any tag teams because I think they can squeeze one more SS match on the card with the tag division, something like Dust Brothers, Slater Gator and Tyson Kidd VS Usos, Los Matadores and either Swagger or some mid card face or NXT guy. Anyway, Team Authority would be Rollings, Kane, Wyatt, Rusev and Mark Henry. Wyatt and Henry are variables due to Wyatt's general craziness and Henry due to his dominant that's what I do/don't take crap from anyone persona. It could just as easily be Cesaro and Miz instead of those two. That way, Henry/Show can have a singles match unfortunately. Maybe we'll get a surprise entrant, like Reigns. He's been out for almost his due 6 weeks right? What better way to reintroduce him, especially seeing how his breakout performance started at Survivor Series LAST year. It just writes itself! It could come down to Reigns VS Kane, Cesaro, and Rollings with Reigns doing what he does best, which would set up for a Reigns/Rollings main event at TLC. This elimination match could really set up Cena and Rusev as well. I don't know if I want to see it at Mania but I definitely do want to see the collision. If Cena/Lesnar III is happening at the Royal Rumble, then why not have the match between Cena/Rusev at TLC? That way, they build Cena has unstoppable again? Just a thought.

Obviously, the match will flesh itself out in the coming weeks but I'm very excited. We haven't had a main event traditional Survivor Series match since 2005. It's good to see the match getting it's spot on the PPV.

Hell In The Cell 2014 Predictions

The 2nd filler PPV until Survivor Series is on Sunday! Without the champion being defended, there are two big time HIAC matches on the card, one featuring the best rivalry going in WWE right now and the other features the two faces of the company, reigniting their feud that has been going on since they first came into the WWE. Oh, and there are two feud matches along with 4 title bouts. Let's go!

Randy Orton VS John Cena XXVII. Remember when this two came up and everyone was expecting this feud to be THE feud of the PG Era? Ah, good times. I really enjoyed the first match they had at SummerSlam 2007 and their Iron Man Match in 2009. Other than that, the feud has been pretty boring. I believe this is the first time two superstars will have a rematch inside HIAC, as these two guys already entered Hell once in 2009, with Orton being the victor. Though I'm speaking about this match first, I'm sure this will be the main event of the show unfortunately instead of the SHOULD BE main event between Rollings/Ambrose. Anyway, I think the fact that these guys are wrestling AGAIN in the SAME EXACT MATCH TYPE 5 years later shows the Cell doesn't have the same effect that it used to have. You think Taker/Mankind would have a rematch inside HIAC? Of course not, it was a brutal way to end their feud. Orton/Cena, not so much. These guys aren't really even fighting to end their feud. They're fighting for a shot at the Beast and his championship, which will probably take place at the Rumble. Since I think WWE is stupid and want Cena to face Lesnar AGAIN for some reason, I think Cena will beat Orton to challenge Lesnar at a later date. It's dumb, especially seeing how an Orton face turn is definitely imminent and Lesnar/Orton would basically sell itself. Imagine, the first ever meeting between the two youngest World Champions of ALL TIME. It SELLS itself! And it would definitely be more interesting than Lesnar/Cena III. I'm going with the wild card pick Randy Orton because...well, it's my blog and I want to see Lesnar/Orton.

Paige VS AJ III on PPV. I enjoyed both their single matches at both Battleground and SummerSlam so I'm looking forward to their match here. With the rumored rule of no one from Total Divas allowed to win the title and Paige will be staring on TD in January, I think AJ will retain. When the heck will Charlotte be getting her call up? I'm hopeful that after her match with Sasha at the next NXT event, she'll get the call up. Her and Neville but time will tell.

It's amazing how quickly WWE has made me uninterested in the tag team division again. They were on fire with The Usos/Wyatt Family feud. It was a feud built on the hatred between Cena/Wyatt and it was amazing. The Battleground match remains one of the top matches of this year for me, along with the NXT Fatal Four Way, Wyatt/Bryan from the Rumble and of course, the absolute war that was The Wyatts VS The Shield. Anyway, with Gold and Stardust as champions, I'm just uninterested in the feud. Sorry, but it's the truth. Why haven't the Rhodes brothers broke up yet? What the hell are they waiting for? I need Cody to break away and get his much deserved singles main event run. I mean, he fits right in with the rest of the current WWE mold. Anyway, I really don't care who wins this match. I would like to see Slater Gator get a shot at the belts one day but I think that's more of a pipe dream right now. I'm going with The Dust Brothers to win. Who's next? The future of the tag division isn't as clear...

Miz challenges for ANOTHER mid card singles title at a PPV. This time, he's challenging Sheamus for the US Title. I've been wanting to see a proper Miz/Sheamus feud for a while. They were two of the top stars of the old cream of the crop back in 2009. Remember when Miz/Sheamus/McIntyre all stood victorious at Survivor Series in 09?

Anyway, it should be a pretty good match to say the least, especially with Damien Mizdaow at ringside. Easily one of the BEST gimmicks I've seen in this era. How is he more over than The Miz? While I like Miz and his stunt double, I'm sure if you're an avid reader of my blog, you'll know my answer for this match. Sheamus wins and then will eventually go on to feud with Rusev, who will defeat Big Show. Saving myself some time. A Sheamus/Rusev US Title match at Survivor Series would be hard hitting and ugly. I want to see it.

Nikki beats Brie. That's it. It's not inside HIAC so who cares?

The match of the night should be the 2/3 Falls match between Ziggler and Cesaro. Both guys are work horses of WWE and can put on amazing matches with just about anybody they face. They've already put on some great matches before but now, it's on the big stage. Hopefully, the match gets close to 20 minutes but who am I kidding? The first two falls will be done in the first 5 minutes and the last ten minutes will be the actual match. I'm pulling for a Ziggler win, only because deep down, I want to see someone else hold the IC Title. That someone else, is Tyson Kidd. FACT. Book Kidd VS Ziggler in a Ladder Match at TLC and just wait for the awesomeness that the match will be. Ziggler wins.

The main event should be the match between best friends turned bitter enemies, Dean Ambrose VS Seth Rollings. These guys had a chaotic Lumberjack match back at SummerSlam and now, they're faced with Hell. If any two guys can have an amazing HIAC without the brutality of the old HIACs, it's these guys. This is easily one of the biggest matches of the year, storyline wise of course. I'm hoping they get a lot of time and that it's as crazy as their LJ match. Rollings beat Ambrose at SS and I don't think Rollings really needs the win here so I'm going with Dean F'n Ambrose for the win here. Hopefully, we'll get an Orton face turn and then a winter Rollings/Orton feud. That would be nice.

Hell In A Cell, while a filler PPV, plays a big part in setting up the last of the big PPVs Survivor Series. Hopefully, we'll get a big 5-on-5 match as the main event. It's the only thing they can do without the champion being present. And with Neville/Zayn already set for the December 11th NXT special, I thought we see a NXT Title match but hopefully, those guys get some exposure as well, because they definitely deserve it.

Change

(sigh) I've been working nonstop 6 day weeks at my job, which means I barely have time to do anything at all. The last weekday I had off was over a month ago. It's all due to people being in school, people moving on finding better jobs and the inability of my management team to find anyone to work here. And like I said, it's having a serious effect on my whole life. The only positive thing is that I obviously have more money than I ever had before and that's because my checks every other week have my regular 80 hours and then anywhere from 10-16 hours of overtime. Yeah, it's crazy. And I'm not really trying to complain because I just got a Xbox One and I really need to finance it with Lords of the Fallen, Sunset Overdrive, WWE2K15 and Far Cry 4 ALL coming out within the next couple of weeks, not to mention I want to buy Shadow of Mordor used as well. That's about $300 right there, and I didn't even include other games like Persona Q and Tales of Hearts R. I'll be buying games every Tuesday except Nov 4th. So Far Cry 4 and WWE come out on Nov 18th, Smash Bros on the 21st and Persona Q on the 25. So, the overtime is coming in handy. That's what's paying for those games. That's the only good thing coming from it. Everything else though, is a mess.

The only day I get off is Sunday and that's only because I'm busy with church. Lord knows if that wasn't in place if I would even get a day off. It's infuriating because I have no time for my personal life. I don't have time to spend with my wife as she works two jobs and obviously our schedules don't always match up to see each other. Fridays are the best example of this. She works in the morning while I work at night and then when I'm getting off, she's right back out to work again so I don't end up seeing her until Saturday morning and that's only for a short while because I'm back getting ready for work. It's a hassle. I don't have time to effectively ready a bible study lesson. I teach certain bible studies on Tuesdays at 6 and working 6 days takes away from that. I would usually use a day off to dedicate to the lesson but now, I have to do it in spurts or just wing it. I don't like that I'm giving God part time work but I'm giving my earthly job overtime. It doesn't feel right to me. Even with all those games coming out, the only games I can really give time to are the portable ones as I play them coming and leaving work. I've played more Smash Bros than anything else right now and like I said, I just got a Xbox One and The Evil Within, which I've only put in 4 hours in so far. It came out about a week ago!

Sorry, ANYWAY, my management team can see the toll this is taking on me. I guess I show it in my face, actions or speech. I don't mean to, I'm just burnt out. Looking at my past timesheets, I've worked 50+ hours for 3 weeks straight. This will be week #4. I don't care if I have to work 50+ hours but I need another day of that isn't Sunday. It's take a heavy toll on not only my body but my relationships and time spent with games, wrestling and even my blog. While the latter isn't as important as my relationship with God, my wife and my family, I'd still like to have time to do those things. I guess this is how CM Punk felt once he got his big break. Punk went from mid card guy to super stardom and was making appearances everywhere, starting wrestling more and more and got less and less interested in the thing he loved. That's sad. I've always wanted to make more money but not like this. Not if I have to kill myself to get it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? Mark 8:36 says this.

I'm exhausted. I'm frustrated. I have no relief from anyone. It's hard being the Hyatt Place John Cena. I respect people who can put their whole team on their back and not have any worries but right now, at this current point, I don't like doing it. Maybe it will grow on me but not having time for God, my wife and my interests is not something I generally like. If there is some kind of common ground, I'm all for it but my work life is like a typical John Cena match right, one dominating the other. Lesnar/Cena from SummerSlam represents my work life in a nutshell. Work representing Lesnar and me and my personal life Cena, being thrown around dozens of time without much resistance from me. Is it my fault that this has happened? Is it my fault that I'm just a good worker who's being used too much? Maybe I should speak up but it's unfair of me to think I'm the only one struggling right now. My AGM is forced to work audit now every night because the auditor we had quit. And he doesn't get a day off. Isn't he going through the same pain I am? It's even worse for him because he's salary, so anything past 40 doesn't mean crap. What right do I have to complain when I don't have it as bad?

I'll survive. There are worse things to suffer from in life. Ebola, poverty, an STD, etc. My major complaint in life is that I'm working too much and in turn, making a pretty penny. I'm sure someone somewhere is telling me to shut the (blank) up but hey, I just felt like ranting a bit.

You know my favorite part about all of this? Is when I work Monday night and then Tuesday morning. The reactions from the guests are classic. Did you go home? Do you have a cot here? You're always here aren't you? They don't let you leave huh? Haha, little do they know....

Gaming and wrestling posts will resume shortly, just let me get situated with all this. Rollings/Ambrose Hell in a Cell on Sunday! The rest of the PPV is severely lacking. Two rematches from past PPVs, along with another match to make Rusev look good and a pointless Bella match make for a disappointing PPV on paper. Also, we get Orton/Cena XXVII so that's awesome. And it will probably be the main event! SUPER. At least Orton is going to be turning face soon. Really looking forward to the Orton/Rollings feud to come. I think that could be something special. A feud that will ignite the Viper again. WWE has become SO boring without their two future stars Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt but I give props to Rollings and Ambrose for keeping it interesting. Survivor Series is next month, hopefully we get a respectable Classic SS match at the main event. It only makes sense if the champion can't compete. More on my thoughts on that to come in another post...
