They have announced both MITB matches for this year's big PPV and I'm generally impressed by both matches. I don't think I've ever been THIS excited for both ladder matches at the event and to be honest, this year there is also a little mystery with who's going to win each match. Well, not the WWE Title one if you are to believe the dirt sheets. Let's talk about them!
The WWE Title MITB SHOULD main event this PPV as it is the All-Star Game of WWE. All former World Champions in this one ala the WWE MITB last year but this one has more superstars and has the potential to be match of the night. You have CM Punk, the longest reigning WWE Champion in 25 years, Kane, a ladder match veteran, Daniel Bryan, the man trying to prove he's not the weak link, Randy Orton, one of the most vicious WWE competitors in WWE, Sheamus, the hard hitting Irishman, Christian, another ladder match expert returning from injury, and the wild card, Rob Van Dam, making his return to WWE. It's really what the WWE Title MITB should be if they're going to do it like this. If you're only going to put former champions in it, than this is how you do it. There are going to be some epic spots in this match and all this guys are going to do something special. I'm really looking forward to seeing Bryan and RVD mix it up and hopefully it will be a precursor for things to come. If the rumors are true, then we can expect Daniel Bryan to win and cash in at SummerSlam, setting up the match of the year potential of Bryan/Cena. It makes sense and it obviously the money match. RVD won't win in his first match back. Punk is too busy setting up his match with Lesnar. The rest, I could make an argument for, but I think it's just best if Bryan, with all these huge main eventers in the match, to overcome the odds and show that he's not the weak link. I'm really looking forward to this match and I hope that it lives up to its full potential.
Now the World Title MITB doesn't feature main event superstars but it does feature the future of WWE. Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Antonio Cesaro, Jack Swagger, Wade Barrett, Fandango, and Dean Ambrose. Basically, it's like my dream match come true. The only thing about dream matches is that only one of your favorites can win. I've been waiting for Barrett to break out for years now. You guys know how big a fan I am of his. I'm always pulling for Barrett but I wouldn't be surprised if Ambrose is the one to win this one but to be honest, I would be happy with anyone winning BUT Swagger and I don't think it's likely he'll win due to his recent trouble with the law. I called Fandango being apart of this match back in May. Could he actually be the one to win this match? And that's the reason I'll watch this match. While it has potential to be a show stealer as well, I'm more looking forward to the future. If Cesaro, Barrett, Rhodes, Sandow, Fandango or Ambrose win, one of the guys is going to be the future World Heavyweight Champion. It's basically a guarantee! I've never experienced a MITB with all my favorites in one match so I'm really torn but I'll definitely be watching intently to see who wins. I'm seriously good with ANYONE except Swagger. He already has his.
Ziggler/Del Rio, Jericho/Ryback, and Cena/Henry are all good additions to this card as well. I expect Axel/Miz and maybe Shield/Usos to be announced for the PPV as well but right now, they could just do those 5 matches and call it a night. This could be the most monumental MITB since 2011. Could you imagine if Ambrose wins and cashes in that night? He would hold the US Title AND the World Title, something that hasn't been done yet. And when is the last time you've seen a double singles champion? It's been awhile? What if Wade Barrett, after being SO CLOSE so many times before FINALLY retrieves the briefcase and becomes England's first World Champion? I think you can tell what two guys I really want to win.
Bray Wyatt for World Title MITB winner in 2014!

Interesting night...
WWE Payback had some interesting stories. Well first, Curtis Axel, who wasn't suppose to even be in the match, ends up making the most of this opportunity by pinning Barrett and just like his father, wins the IC Title. That was suppose to be Fandango....It's funny though, it worked out in the end. Axel wins the title his father won ON Father's Day. How planned was that? Is Fandango even really concussed? It works out SO well for Axel that I'm thinking that this was all planned to begin with. Or maybe there was some kind of divine intervention?
Regardless, congrats Axel. There's a bright future ahead for that young man.
AJ wins her first title but her boyfriend LOSES the World Title in a very interesting situation. Del Rio kept attacking Ziggler in the head, doing everything and anything to win the title while Ziggler was getting all the sympathy from the crowd. Did WWE do a double turn here? And so, WHY? I think Ziggler as a heel just works. Same with AJ. AJ played with Kaitlyn's emotions which ended up costing her the title. Are they REALLY going to turn AJ face? Ziggler can't be face with a heel girlfriend. Wrestling doesn't work like that. Anyway, I'm upset that Ziggler loses so quickly but that is the curse of the MITB. Now, if he IS a face, it looks like my previous post was irrelevant. Remember I complained that there was no big face making his way up the ranks in WWE? Maybe Ziggler will be that one? Hopefully, Ziggler recaptures the title before the end of the summer but I'll be keeping my eye on this storyline now.
I'm not a big fan of the decision to take the title off of Ziggler. I've been looking forward to his cash in since July and to have it all vanish so quickly, makes me disgusted, but it happens to ALL the winners and Edge and Punk made the best of it so maybe Ziggler will too. Right now though, I'm hating the decision.
Bryan and Orton lost last night in a good tag match. Are the rumors going to be true? Will Bryan get into a program with Cena starting tonight? It would be match of the year for sure. I don't care HOW they do it, I just want them TO do it. And it looks like Punk will be a face for this run. And it also look like a Punk/Lesnar match is in the works as well. They're teasing some tension between the two which will only result in a client VS client match, probably first with Axel then with Lesnar. I'm more interested in the Axel/Punk match than a match with Lesnar to be honest. What better way to put Axel over than to successfully defend his title against the longest reigning WWE Champion in the last 25 years?
WWE MITB is next month! Let's see if they announce any participants tonight! If they are to keep the current stipulations on each MITB, then here's who I think will be in each MITB match. Well, for the WWE Title one, I'd put Punk/Jericho/Miz/Kane/Orton/RVD/Sheamus in that one. That's a main event MITB right there! With the return of RVD and veteran ladder match combatants like Jericho, Kane, and Punk, you have an awesome match set. Will Punk win his 3rd straight MITB or will Jericho finally win a big one? As for the World Title one, I'm not sure the participants. Most likely, Axel/Fandango/Rhodes and more up-and-comers should be competing. I've been behind a Wade Barrett MITB win FOREVER so I'm obviously behind this win. It's wide open this so I'll wait until all participants are announced for a final prediction.
Mark Henry has a big announcement tonight. Is it retirement or something else entirely? Will the Wyatt Family finally debut? Will someone make the most of his announcement and make an example out of him? It's going to be interesting to see to say the least. Stay classy Internet!

Shield loses, SummerSlam draws near, Payback predictions
Interesting day today. First off, The Shield lost on Smackdown. It's about time but I was hoping that it would take a real big super team or that they would at least wait until SummerSlam for The Undertaker to take revenge and defeat The Shield with his brother Kane. It just makes more sense to do it that way. The Shield losing is one of the biggest stories of this year for me. I think this will be the beginning of the end for The Shield.
I know, I'm probably overreacting but this summer will probably feature more of The Wyatt Family trio more than The Shield. What more can they do as a trio though? Maybe it's best that after SummerSlam they all go their separate ways and let Ambrose work his way up to the main event. It's going to be interesting to see how they handle these three going forward. Will the loss spell the end for the most dominant faction of the PG Era or will it only make them stronger? Time will tell.
WWE Payback is coming up this Sunday! June PPVs has been all over the place. Fatal Four Way, Capitol Punishment, No Way Out and now Payback. This is the start of the summer PPVs and maybe even the start of the big summer angle. The dirtsheets haven't reported it now but if the last three years are any indication, something big is going to happen. Maybe the angle is the Wyatt Family? Anyway, 7 matches on the card with ALL titles up for grabs. Who's going to walk out the big winners?
Ambrose defends his title against Kane. These two know each other well as they've been battling for close to a year now. This should be an interesting hard hitting contest. Ambrose has such a style when he wrestles. It probably won't be a long match but I see Ambrose getting up the victory with some kind of Shield interference. Ambrose retains.
AJ and Kaityln, believe it or not, is my most anticipated divas contest in recent history. Yeah I said or excuse me, typed it. Ever since AJ became #1 contender, I've been waiting to see this match. Here are two Divas that could help revive the dead division. It should be a fairly OK women's match. Since her BF Ziggler is World Champion, I think it would be cool to see her and him both holding belts. AJ finally wins the Divas Title.
Ziggler will face Del Rio in his return match and just like Ziggler's name implies, he's going to show off. It's his first match back since his concussion and 1st PPV title defense. That's kind of hard to believe but it's a fact. This should be one of the better matches of the night. Ziggler always goes over and beyond in his matches and this one will be no different. Del Rio is a good wrestler in his own right so I'm really looking forward to it. Ziggler's reign won't end just yet so he'll retain in one of the most entertaining matches of the night. Ziggler wins, showing off in the process.
Well Fandango's title reign might go to a different superstar. Fandango's loss might be Curtis Axel's gain as he is now the 3rd man in the Barrett/Miz IC Title match. I always thought Fandango would be the one to win the IC Title as to go with Austin's Twitter prediction for him. It looks like that will have to wait. I don't know if Axel is going to win the title just because of this concussion. Axel has been facing main eventers why would he get the IC Title? He should be facing Cena if they continue with that route. That being said, Barrett should retain and face Fandango down the line. Wade Barrett retains in an interesting match.
Reigns and Rollings defend their titles against the unlikely team of Orton and Bryan. This should be a fantastic tag match. This could be the upcoming turn of one of these main eventers. That will be the reason The Shield will retain but will it be Orton or Bryan? Orton has been jonsing for a heel turn for awhile now. It doesn't make sense to me to have all these heels but I digress. If Orton was to turn heel, then I would like to see a Sheamus/Orton feud down the line. Bryan turning heel is more likely as it has been hinted toward this whole storyline. Plus, it will go along with Bryan getting a push this summer against Cena. Whoever goes heel or if NO ONE turns heel, The Shield will retain. I still think The Brothers of Destruction will be the ones to end their reign. Shield wins in impressive fashion again.
The match I'm looking forward to most on this card. Punk's return match is against an opponent he knows well and has a good record against. This two have good chemistry and they will absolutely steal the show in Punk's hometown. Punk is rumored to have new entrance music coming in Sunday. He's going to be SO OVER on Sunday. I wonder if it will turn him face in the process? Anyway, Jericho NEEDS to win this match as he hasn't beaten Punk on PPV since his big return last January, but it just doesn't make sense to make Punk lose in his return match IN his hometown. Come on, who is the last person to lose their first match back on PPV? CM Punk wins in the best match of the night.
Cena and Ryback end their feud in a Three Stages of Hell match. It bores me to be honest and I want them to go their separate ways. I'm not saying they won't have a good match, I just don't like Ryback's generic big man heel. Cena will win and retain.
The big event of the summer is only two months away now and it's time to start thinking of the card. If reports are to be believed, Daniel Bryan and John Cena will be main eventing. WOW, that would be killer. I want to see the feud. Bryan deserves it and a short run with the belt would be awesome. In my opinion, I would LOVE to see Bryan/Cena at MITB and then Bryan/Punk/Cena at SummerSlam. Dream triple threat right there. Reports also suggest that Ambrose could be facing Mysterio and Reigns/Rollings could be facing Taker/Kane. This is a fantastic card right now if to be believed anyway but how many times have they reported a supposed match only for it to never happen. Always. Anyway, I would love to see that. Ziggler's opponent? Who knows? I'd like to see a rematch from last year's SummerSlam with Jericho. Just these matches alone make SummerSlam a must see. Let's see if they follow through.
Why are there no up and coming faces in WWE? When I say faces, I mean good guys. Where's the next John Cena? Why isn't there a young guy running through the top heels like Axel is doing the faces? There are WAY TOO MANY heels in WWE right now for them all to succeed. Just my opinion. I think that's something WWE is missing right now.
Alright that's it! Enjoy Payback everyone! And how about Final Fantasy XV, Dead Rising 3, Kingdom Hearts 3 and SUPER SMASH BROS WITH MEGA MAN! PLEASE GOD let the rumor be true that Pac Man is in the game and that Sonic is still in it. The ultimate Fatal Four Way, Mario, Mega Man, Pac Man and Sonic. So awesome. Anyway, stay classy!

My brain hurts....
SPOILERS!!!!! I DON'T GO TOO MUCH INTO DETAIL ABOUT EITHER 999 OR VLR BUT JUST IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED EITHER AND WANT TO, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
Ah God! I just got done playing through Virtue's Last Reward (beat it in 32 hours in one week mind you) and that flipping ending was killer! I thought 999's crazy 'happening at the same time' kind of ending was insane, but this whole time traveling thing took it to the next level. It was really over the top to be honest. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but it was a little hard to follow at some points. Maybe I'm just stupid. Anyway, I loved the whole feel of the game. The atmosphere never felt like 999 at all and all the references to 999 were nice. I was looking for Junpei throughout the whole game but when it was finally revealed who he really was, it was a huge surprise. It was also kind of depressing. Junpei was so optimstic in 999 and to see what kind of bitter old man he has become, it was sad. The endings were pretty cool as well. I liked Clover's ending as well as the main ending and the additional ones after that. The extra end was by the far the craziest. Was the player the one who was in Kyle's body at the very end? How is that even possible though? What kind of mind blowing ending will Zero Escape 3 have? I hope we get to see or hear what happened to the rest of the characters in 999, especially Lotus and Santa. Regardless, I can't wait for the 3rd one. I know it's going to be fantastic and will confuse me all over again and I'll love it. Wait, who will be the main character of 3?
So, WWE has started to promote the next big thing in pro wrestling; the Wyatt Family. I'm nervous and excited. Excited because I somewhat liked Husky Harris while he was in Nexus and I like his big man image. The other two guys I don't know but if WWE has paired them with Wyatt, they must click. I'm nervous because they're going to be heels obviously. There are in NXT and the promo that was aired obviously pointed they will go into the same direction so my obvious worry is that will there be enough room for two heel 3 man factions? I'm sorry, 2 up and coming 3 man factions? Will The Shield disband when the Wyatt Family debuts? That obviously doesn't make sense as they are at their peak right now. Will the two factions face off against each other? It would be awesome but heel vs heel feuds usually aren't done in WWE? Will the two factions come together and form one super team to dominate WWE? I would be more psyched to see this scenario more but it would obviously just be another Nexus and I think both factions could do much better. Whatever WWE does with these two, I'll be glued to the screen.
WWE Money in the Bank is coming up! Who cares about the silly little PPV in between now and then. MITB is important because it can determine the next two World Champions. If history repeats itself, we'll see the WWE Title contract competed with former WWE Champions while the World Title one will be up for grabs. Now, it's time for me to predict my winners. If the WWE Title MITB match stays the same, then my pick is either The Miz or CM Punk. Miz has been mostly irrelevant since losing the belt two years ago and a MITB victory would put him right back into the limelight. CM Punk could use the victory to catapult himself right back into the main event picture. Maybe it will be open to former World Champions as well but time will tell.
Now, the World Title MITB is wide open. At one time, I thought Cesaro would be poised to be the next MITB holder but after losing the US Title, he has fallen off the face of the earth. Here are some picks. Curtis Axel has just burst onto the scene out of nowhere and with two heavy names in the back behind him and Heyman managing, the kid is destined to be a champion someday. What better way to start that by having him win the MITB? How about Fandango? Will WWE use his popularity to make him a future World Champion? Not yet at least. A MITB victory for him would be intriguing though. What if The Shield wins it collectively? I've had the idea of The Shield winning the WWE Title and each member defending it ala The Freebird Rule but now that they all have belts, it's kind of pointless. Still, it would be awesome to see them carrying around the briefcase. Maybe a left field choice like Bray Wyatt? It would definitely be a huge debut if he won the MITB match within his first month in the company. Not likely, but I would like to see it. Anyway, Ziggler or Rhodes were the two clear cut choices for the match last year and once we get the participants, I'll have a much more clear prediction ready.
Well, that's all. Punk/Jericho at Payback should be good while Fandango will be IC Champion very soon. I could care less about Cena/Ryback. I think it's time for another Punk/Cena feud. Hell, I want Jericho/Cena or Bryan/Cena as well!
EDIT - 06/06/13 - So the dirtsheets are saying Bryan is in line for a big push this summer. A big push would obviously mean that he will be competing for either of the World Titles and MAN either one would be fantastic! Obviously, Bryan has so much chemistry with Ziggler, but I mean, who doesn't? A feud for the World Title just makes sense. Plus, the matches would all be show stealers. If Bryan was to feud with Cena, that's something new. Yes, Bryan and Cena had a fantastic match on Raw, but that was it. I think deep down WWE knew that would draw once they were finally ready to pull the trigger. I think a Cena/Bryan feud would be amazing and easily could be a match of the year candidate if done correctly. And how poetic would it be for them to clash at Money in the Bank 2013?
