So the main event is set for SummerSlam! It's going to be whatever Raw puts on because we're unfortunately getting Orton/Christian V! Why is WWE shoving this feud down our throats. It's like Raw and Smackdown are two of my children. One is doing well and trying to make a name for itself while the other one is doing drugs and/or in jail. How is it possible that Raw is doing so awesome while Smackdown is doing so horribly? And not only are we getting Christian/Orton V, they're turning Sheamus face! Why him of all people? I'm hoping it works but I'm not looking forward to this Sheamus/Henry feud, give the man a dang title, that will turn him face! On the bright side though, we might be getting a Bryan/Barrett match at SummerSlam! The match, in my opinion, has been 12 months in the making, ever since they kicked Bryan out of Nexus, so Smackdown gets props for starting that feud, but loses props for putting Rhodes up against Jackson. Really? Jackson? (sigh)
Let me get back on Orton/Christian. Yes, I understand the match is No Holds Barred, but that should of happened at Capitol Punishment! They should of least had an Ironman match. That would have been a better feud ender. Am I the only person who is upset about this? Does everybody really like this feud anymore? I mean seriously? How long is this going to go on? Picture this, Christian beats Orton and Orton's just going to get another shot because HE'S RANDY ORTON! If Christian loses, HE'S GOING TO GET ANOTHER SHOT! It's the song that never ends. It just goes on and on my friends! The main event picture needs a change. What kind of change? SOMETHING! ANYTHING! I know Daniel Bryan isn't ready to hold the World Title and run Smackdown yet, but kid, it's time to cash in at SummerSlam. The two are going to have a brutal 'feud ender' and they're both going to be hurt. He's gotta cash in. If Bryan wins the title at SummerSlam, then all will be forgiven and Smackdown will be relevant again. And could you imagine how crazy the Internet would become if Bryan AND Punk were both World Champion at the end of SummerSlam? I know I will go crazy. Anyway, Daniel Bryan is our only hope to stop this crazy Orton/Christian cycle. If he doesn't step in, we'll have Orton/Christian all the way to Survivor Series. SAVE US DANIEL BRYAN!!! SAVE US! And imagine the great Smackdown PPV matches we'll have to look forward to. Bryan/Christian, Bryan/Orton, and maybe FINALLY ON PPV, Bryan/Rhodes.
But seriously, I'm SICK of Orton/Christian. How do you have 4 straight PPV title matches with 3 of them being NORMAL MATCHES? Come on Smackdown! SummerSlam is one of the biggest events of the year but one of the main events is a match we've seen 4 times already! How is that convincing people to buy the PPV? It's dumb. It's not a smart business move. And then Raw might have a rematch from MITB so that might be TWO rematches on one of the biggest cards of the year. I'm going to buy SummerSlam regardless because I'm an idiot but to other people who aren't, it might be hard to ante up the 45 bucks for matches that already happened. Well, I said my piece. Daniel Bryan is the only person who can save Smackdown from mediocrity. Who would have thought it would have came down to young master Bryan?
Here's my revised SummerSlam card following the Smackdown taping.
Cena/Punk/Mysterio
Miz/HHH
Christian/Orton V!
Truth/Morrison
Sheamus/Henry
Bryan/Barrett
Not a bad card if they get Miz/HHH, but no Rhodes or Del Rio yet which means it's going to be a bad PPV. Give me some feedback! Are you REALLY enjoying this whole Orton/Christian feud? Is Daniel Bryan Smackdown's only hope or am I overreacting? What's your dream SummerSlam card? Leave me feedback on here or on my Twitter.
Oh yeah, expect a couple different posts coming soon, like who I think are the Top 10 pro wrestlers of all time, my review of the phenomenal Catherine, my 10 favorite game moments, and some iCarly related list lol. All coming soon, I'll probably do one every Sunday or Monday, since those are my two days off.

Smackdown isn't all that bad. Actually over the past couple months ever since the draft, SD has been putting out a better product than Raw. The only argument you can make for Raw is the re-emergence of CM PUNK. The thing that frustrates me when im watching SD is that they can be a little repetitive with matches. Also under utilizing solid talents like Cody, Tyson Kidd, and also Ted (yea i said ted lol) I think WWE is finally gonna pull the trigger on a Sheamus face turn. SD is in desperate need of a number 2 face behind super-orton. Other than the Christan-Orton overkill, SD has some pretty good things going for them. Mark Henry continues to impress. I wonder who he will take out next? Maybe a Undertaker return (wishful thinking) Hopefully a Cody Rhodes intercontinental title reign is in the works also cuz I'm not sold on Big Zeke as IC Champ. Daniel Bryan is actually relevant again. Hopefully SD doesn't screw that up. And don't forget about a potential showdown between Sheamus/Barrett. I just hope a guy like Justin Gabriel doesn't get buried man. He is way too talented. I would love to also see the Uso Brothers get a push. With all that being said, I mean SD is still watchable but like u said, it needs CHANGE!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, Smackdown's not too bad but the world title situation really overshadows all that potential.Sheamus is going to become the #2 face and I'm fine with it now. There's just more matches for him as a face then a heel. Sheamus/Barrett on a PPV for the World Title would be fantastic because it's fresh and that's what smackdown needs. Rhodes as IC champ ain't bad, but why isn't he in the world title picture yet? Maybe in the fall. I'm a big fan of Big Zeke but not as a face. Turn Sheamus face and Zeke heel and he becomes something on smackdown. Guys like Gabriel, Kidd, and DiBiase won't get chances to shine unless there's a different IC Champion so maybe Rhodes is the guy for that division. Usos won't get a push until the tag division is buffed up and if the rumors are true about wwe getting the tag team from roh, then it might be that time. Anyway, sd has a lot of potential but they have to stop orton/christian to reach it
