I usually like to wait until after the post Wrestlemania Raw to do my post now as there is usually something amazing that happens on that show, more on that later. Let's first focus on Wrestlemania 29.
Good show if you ask me. ALL the Wrestlemania rookies has strong debuts, especially The Shield (5-0) and the superstar over night Fandango! HHH/Lesnar wasn't as bad as I thought. I liked the finish. A Pedigree on the steps is vicious and I didn't think anyone would take that bump but Lesnar is such a crazy dude. Glad they cut that 8 person tag match. It was a waste of time. Punk and Taker was exactly what I expected and delivered on the high quality main events that The Undertaker is known for. I think he can get to 25-0 and then call it quits but that's just me. He still got it! Well, John Cena wins his 11th, let me type that again to emphasis, 11TH WWE CHAMPIONSHIP. Holy crap. The main event rematch was good, I liked the overall feel of it and the cockyness of Cena. If he wanted to be a heel, he would succeed. I loved the false finish retake from last year. You didn't think he would fall for the same mistake twice did you? Anyway, the match was good, loved all the close falls and it was good to see the torch FINALLY passed or pryed I guess from The Rock. John Cena has now defeated Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and The Rock in the main events of Wrestlemania, only man who can say he's done that. Not as amazing as Rock beating Austin, Hogan, and Cena, but still an accomplishment in his own right. Now, onto Raw.
WHAT A GREAT SHOW! It was filled with fantastic moments. First, Wade Barrett wins back the IC Title he lost last night. What the heck was the point of him losing it in the first plact then? That belt has no direction. That was good. Next, after 9 flipping months of waiting, Dolph Ziggler picked his moment and finally cashed in the MITB to win the World Heavyweight Championship! Like Ziggler said, he's been too damn good for too damn long. This is easily the most deserving cash in since Edge first did it in 2006. What a great moment for the guy, he is the FUTURE. Then, Taker comes out only to be confronted by The Shield. Team Hell No joins Taker and The Shield retreats. Extreme Rules anyone? After that, we get the zany crowd chanting anything and everything during the Orton/Sheamus match. THEN they made Fandango an instant star by dancing and humming to his theme song. He's going places thanks to this. And to the main event, we see Ryback apparently turn heel on Cena and sets his focus on Cena's WWE Championship! This show really set the pace for the PPV build to come and while obviously all Raws won't be this fantastic, it's awesome to see this. New Orleans, you gotta bring it next year!
Overall, it's been an awesome two days! Cena's got the belt again, Punk/Taker do their thing, Ziggler's THE WORLD CHAMPION, Fandango just became a star, and Ryback is now heel! I love post Wrestlemania Raws!
