Wrestlemania is soon. Very soon. This PPV will break records, make history, and hopefully be a fantastic event after a lackluster build. To be honest though, it's Wrestle-freaking-Mania! If you're not pumped already by just the name, you're probably not as big a wrestling fan as you think. Anyway, I've already done my prediction post but I just had some thoughts before the big event.
Two of WWE biggest stars could turn heel after Wrestlemania. Randy Orton has been on a decline since losing to Mark Henry at Night of Champions 2011. He hasn't been in big title feud since then and now he's part of an undercard match for the 2nd Wrestlemania in a row. He needs something to boost his stock and character. What better way to become relevant again than by turning heel? A feud with Sheamus would be awesome if you ask me and even if they keep the belt on Del Rio, a showdown during the summer for those two would be great as well. Randy Orton has always been one of my favorite superstars of the years and it saddens me to see where he's at now. A heel turn would change all of that.
Dolph Ziggler has now held that briefcase for almost 9 months, the 2nd longest anyone has held it. Surprisingly, there has NEVER been a cash-in attempt at Wrestlemania, mainly due to the fact that for 4 years, WM held the MITB match but now that it has its only PPV, the cash-in at Mania is more likely. ANYWAY, WWE wouldn't let history like this pass them by would they? This is a first and Ziggler has a chance to finally get the recogintion he deserves. If the dirtsheets are true, Ziggler and his posse could have a very awesome night come Wrestlemania. Could you imagine if they walked out with 3 different titles at Mania? That would be awesome. Del Rio and Swagger can continue their feud but we want Ziggler as champion! And the crowd reaction would be epic as well.
It's that time of the year again. 2010, it was with Nexus. 2011, it was about embracing the hate. 2012, it was about his loss to the Rock. Of course I'm talking about the IWC talking about a John Cena heel turn. With Cena's recent promos, he sounds desperate and actually sounds delusional. This is a Cena we're not used to. Could WWE finally be pulling the trigger for a Cena heel turn? Probably not. As Cena says himself, he does plenty of charity work for WWE so for their image, it doesn't make sense but it's always fun to imagine what if. If Cena is to lose to The Rock though, how would they explain that and keep his nice guy image? Even though I don't like The Rock, I could behind a victory for him ONLY IF it means a character change for Cena. I'll hold my breath.
Almost time for the Show of Shows. Can't wait!
