Road to Survivor Series

Hell in the Cell was one of the finer filler PPVs WWE ever put on. Seriously, I enjoyed mostly every match. I knew WWE had something special when the Bellas of ALL people had an entertaining match. It was something to behold. Of course, Ziggler/Cesaro had a great match but the shocker of the night, match wise, Cena and Orton wasn't that bad. We even got to see the AA into a RKO. It was also cool seeing the Cena shoulder tackle into a RKO as well. Pretty good match between the two. It's up there with their frist meeting and their Iron Man match for me personally. The real twist came during the main event.

First off, it was exciting to see Ambrose and Rollings receive main event billing. It was the biggest feud and the HIAC was made for it. The start was absolutely stunning, with those guys actually starting the match from the top of the Cell and of course, falling from the mid way point into the tables. That spot, in this era, was shocking to see, especially seeing how the match hadn't started yet. The match itself, didn't disappoint. All the spots were great, especially the powerbomb throw into the table. Great match and an even better ending, with Bray Wyatt making his return to attack Dean Ambrose. That will only lead to good things. I haven't seen Wyatt's Raw promo yet, but I can assume that it's good. I'm really looking forward to what's next for both Rollings and Ambrose. Rollings will most likely start a feud with Orton, which is great for his career.

Survivor Series is next up and they already announced the main event. Cena will captain a team against Team Authority. Team Cena looks to have himself and Ziggler on it right now while The Authority will have Rollings and Kane right now. There are plenty of possibilities for this main event. Randy Orton is a huge variable in this match as this could be the focal point of his face turn. The budding rivalry of Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt could come to play in this. We could get the Super Athlete Rusev involved. There's really no limit to the guys in this match.

I think Team Cena should be Cena, Ziggler, Ambrose, Orton and either Sheamus, Big Show or Ryback, whoever is going to feud with Rusev basically. I wouldn't use any tag teams because I think they can squeeze one more SS match on the card with the tag division, something like Dust Brothers, Slater Gator and Tyson Kidd VS Usos, Los Matadores and either Swagger or some mid card face or NXT guy. Anyway, Team Authority would be Rollings, Kane, Wyatt, Rusev and Mark Henry. Wyatt and Henry are variables due to Wyatt's general craziness and Henry due to his dominant that's what I do/don't take crap from anyone persona. It could just as easily be Cesaro and Miz instead of those two. That way, Henry/Show can have a singles match unfortunately. Maybe we'll get a surprise entrant, like Reigns. He's been out for almost his due 6 weeks right? What better way to reintroduce him, especially seeing how his breakout performance started at Survivor Series LAST year. It just writes itself! It could come down to Reigns VS Kane, Cesaro, and Rollings with Reigns doing what he does best, which would set up for a Reigns/Rollings main event at TLC. This elimination match could really set up Cena and Rusev as well. I don't know if I want to see it at Mania but I definitely do want to see the collision. If Cena/Lesnar III is happening at the Royal Rumble, then why not have the match between Cena/Rusev at TLC? That way, they build Cena has unstoppable again? Just a thought.

Obviously, the match will flesh itself out in the coming weeks but I'm very excited. We haven't had a main event traditional Survivor Series match since 2005. It's good to see the match getting it's spot on the PPV.
