Balor and Neville had a great match. Short, but still an effective contest. It got straight to the point and was excellent. I loved the Pele Kick by Balor into the Superkick from Neville. I love little counters like that. Like I said though, it was a lot shorter than I thought it should be. They could've easily went 10 minutes more. Look at the match between Zayn/Breeze from Takeover in May. Now that got a nice chunk of time and ended up being fantastic. Balor and Neville made the most of the 13 minutes they had and didn't disappoint. With Balor's win, he's next in line for a NXT Title shot after only being in the company since November. Balor, as I've said previously, is my favorite of the NXT 5 and to me, will succeed the most, mainly because he just oozes what makes a WWE superstar successful. He has this talent about him and the way he carries himself all scream star. Finn Balor will be a household name yet.
SASHA WON! In the match of the night, Sasha Banks proved she is the Boss of NXT by winning the Women's Title after pinning the champion Charlotte for the 3 count. I knew this match was going to be good but with 4 of the NXT 5 facing each other on the show, I had no thought of this match being the show stealer but it was. All 4 ladies deserve a standing ovation for the match they put on. There were so many great highlights in this match. Becky's impressive pumbphandle suplex to Banks was awesome. I did not know that chick was that strong! Sasha's suicide dive on the outside to Becky and Bayley, then Charlotte's over the top rope dive to all three ladies. How about that wheelbarrow drop move that Charlotte and Bayley did on Sasha? The top rope Bayley-to-Belly! The Bank Statement to Charlotte, seeing her pulled all the way back into the pin was awesome. The whole match was a highlight. The pace of the NXT Divas matches are SO MUCH faster than those of the main roster and I love how NXT treats the women's title as the 2nd tier title. In almost all of the specials, the Women's Title match is in the penultimate position WITH a promo attached to it and they always deliver. There hasn't been one bad NXT Women's Title match on a live special yet and I don't think there ever will be. With's Sasha's win, Charlotte will most definitely be making her main roster debut the night after Wrestlemania, along with Adrian Neville. Both put over the new faces of NXT and can now try their hand at the main roster. They'll be wishing they were still in NXT. Sasha as champion opens up for Bayley to finally win, probably sometime in the fall months. I think Bayley will beat Charlotte once before she leaves NXT and starting feuding with Sasha again afterwards. Sasha/Becky would be nice and I was fairly impressed with her at Rival. There's going to be some interesting times in the women's division.
Well, that was fast. Kevin Owens made his WWE NXT debut on December 11th and won the NXT Championship on February 11th in convincing fashion. In a match that was saw comparisons to Lesnar/Cena at SummerSlam 2014, Kevin Owens DESTROYED Sami Zayn in the main event for his first NXT Title. That was...shocking. The match itself was a slower, more WWE paced match. It wasn't bad at all but not on the level of the amazing Neville/Zayn match from R Evolution. I liked it though. It showed that NXT can put on two different style main events and still be successful at both. Owens looked like a freaking star in the match, overpowering the smaller Zayn. After a 20 minute match, Owens started powerbombing Zayn to no end and this is after Zayn hit his head on the ramp after a top rope dive. When I saw that, I knew it was the beginning of the end. The powerbombs wouldn't stop so the match was stopped. I thought it was a DQ finish like I said but nope, the ref stated that Zayn couldn't compete any longer and the title was given to Kevin Owens. Yes, Kevin Owens WON by KO. Amazing finish to another great NXT Live Special. Well, the next title match will be Balor VS Owens, which is a very interesting match up which will probably headline the NXT Live Event in May. Obviously, Zayn and Owens will main event another NXT event this year and I would love to see a Ladder Match between the two. Hell, even a TLC match. They've had Ladder Wars before in ROH right? Whatever, the next time they fight, there needs to be a stipulation attached.

ANYWAY, great event! My crush Sasha won the belt and Owens proved he is the most ruthless man in NXT. Great event and I can't wait to see what's to come.
From reading the NXT results for the next couple weeks, it looks like Alex Riley is getting another chance to prove himself. I like that. He has the look and NXT could be the field he can showcase that. Rhino AND Brian Kendrick on the shows? Interesting....Enzo and Big Cass are getting the next title shot I guess. Not a bad decision, maybe it will lead to Big Cass turning and going on his own? I don't know. No Zayn as he's on tour with the main roster right now so that kind of sucks. Maybe the reason they took the title off of him. It should be an interesting couple of weeks for NXT.
